Mission Statement - We have been planning to remodel our 1960s kitchen for many years, but have always found a reason NOT to: budget, time, hassle, etc. Now, halfway through our project, we are 1000% sure that having this space completely remodeled will change our lives. We will be happier, more organized, and more likely to entertain! Lifted spirits for sure.

Mission Statement - We are most excited for the house to functionally work with us, particularly given that it is a small space every single square foot needs to be thought carefully and aligned to our family values. We love the privacy we will get with the semi-remodel of the master bathroom and adding on the kids bathroom in that location will allow for the kids to have their own space. Additionally, moving the laundry upstairs will help with the flow of family life and allow for our home to be sanctuary that makes life with little kids a little easier.

The design process was easy from start to finish. I felt like the design team really understood the needs of our family and the asthetic we were hoping to accomplish, and I never felt pressured to make a decision that I wasn't 100% sure about.

Mission Statement - The design team helped to translate our vision and desires into a aesthetic that matches and fit our budget, ensuring that we will see years of happiness in our new space.

Through no fault of NED&C, significant material and labor cost increases over the design phase have resulted in a more expensive project than originally envisioned; this is not a hit many people could afford to take. Absent financial concerns, I'd be happy to recommend NED&C to a friend.

He was very proactive and responsive regarding any potential issues that arose. Understanding Scope Of Work - SketchUp model and Enscape rendering were very valuable, much easier to think through spaces and usability. Having only the plans or sketches along the way would have made it much harder to understand the scope of work.

Overall Experience - Overall the design experience was great. Drew was very good at listening and understanding the functional elements and aesthetic we were going for and made great recommendations and offered valuable suggestions or considerations as we made decisions. He was able to balance the fact that we had strong opinions on some things that we needed less help with and that there were things we had no idea about and needed more help. He helped us understand budget tradeoffs with the design so we could make informed decisions.

Great communications and stand by their work

They do very high quality work and take care of everything. They also operate with a lot of integrity and trustworthiness. When something doesn't go to plan, they take care of it. They do everything they can to make sure you are happy and satisfied with the work and that you are setup to enjoy it for a long time. This is hard to find in the construction business and is what sets NEDC apart, in my opinion.

Additional Comments - I can't imagine another design and build firm that is as professional, reliable and talented as NEDC. The team is very personable, passionate and just plain nice. And the end result is outstanding. Our entire family (pets included) is extremely satisfied, now and for the future, with what they created for us.

I would definitely recommend overall but I would also answer honestly to questions like, "were there unforeseen incidents along the way", "was the project completed on time", etc. and those answers would not always be favorable to nedc.

They did amazing work to our house. We trusted them with three phases of renovation for our house and they delivered top-notch work every time. We don't have anything left to renovate, but who knows, maybe we will move at some point and call them again.

The overall experience was great and the finished product is top notch. Their craftsmanship has exceeded expectations in many areas.
There were a few challenges throughout the project mainly surrounding communication, but they were ultimately resolved. We were always confident that things would be done as promised. We hope to work with NEDC again in the future!

Mission Statement - Maybe this story is a bit much, but it's true. Shortly after it was done, I was chopping some tomatoes on the counter in front of the window. The light was coming in in such a way that the whole room was bright and fresh. I was taken for a moment about how different it all was now, how it was literally the kitchen I've always wanted in my nearly 50 years. I actually got a little teared-up at that thought from happiness.

NECD did a great job on the renovations of two apartments for us in the South End. In fact, we liked the designs, and we loved the final products!

I am very happy with how everything turned out, and I enjoy cooking and just being in the kitchen so much more. It is much more functional than the way it was before, and I think it looks great too. The light from the sliding glass door is wonderful, and I can’t wait for the weather to warm up a bit so that I can effortlessly make my way out to the patio through the kitchen rather than going through 3 different doors to get there. I think that we’ve achieved the best outcome for the space and I would work with you and NEDC to create it without a moment’s hesitation.
