The company was established in 1971 as McDowell Aluminum by Bob McDowell. Starting out as a as a siding installation company, with Bob completing all the installations, as staff was added and expertise grew, additional remodeling services were added; initially window and door installations, then porches, sunrooms, and today McDowell, Inc. of St. Charles offers all types of remodeling including whole house remodels, kitchens, baths, lower level remodels, room additions as well as all types of siding installations, window & door replacements, and architectural enhancements on the exterior and interior of your home. McDowell's emphasis is on personalized client care, creative design and excellent workmanship. Our goal is to exceed your expectations, not only with the quality of our work and the people that do the work, but to create an overall pleasing remodeling experience

Any recommendation for water damage drywall?

The drywall that has water damage should be removed. The wood studs might also need to be replaced depending on if there is mold or rot. The insulation behind the drywall should also be replaced. The ... read more
