Kate started, but then was on maternity leave and Ashley stepped in and did great. I would like to interchange their names, so that I may review Ashley.
We interviewed for 4 or 5 builders for Brunswick, to be honest, the feeling we got from Kent was more down to earth and personable, no means any kind of pushing or high-pressure sale. They were much more knowledgable regarding building techniques. They by far scored better to us than any of the other builders.
They were on time and personable. They get to know you before they start making suggestions. Others we interviewed were cookie cutter and impersonal.
I don't get there very often so I am not sure, but I believe so.
I would suggest the ability to use a 3d visual aid to go through the process step by step. I think it would really help the men visualize better.
It has been very positive. Andrew has been great. We have had no complaints.
Excellent process and experienced staff
Vanessa Hannant is the best!
Carol Hobbs is a true professional along with a wonderful and friendly approach.
Carol Hobbs represents Kent Homes well... Outstanding
Not at this time
Looking forward to working with our project manager, Chris Moore. Knowledgeable and professional, and accessible.
All of my questions and concerns were communicated and addressed in a very timely manner!
Working with Vanessa Hannant was a pleasure and she was very helpful in helping us make certain design decisions.
I totally agree!
Introduced to Kent Homes during Brunswick Forest Coastal Discovery Tour
The entire experience working with Ashley Kent and Vanessa Hannant was a total pleasure and the entire process from beginning to end was designed to make it as smooth as possible for the client.
Ashley tried to keep us within our budget
Vanessa was amazing! Choosing our selections was fun, and with Vanessa's guidance, not so scary.
The first lot we picked out was purchased by another buyer unbeknownst to Ashley. The second lot we picked out came back with the easment not allowing the model that we wanted. Ashley was able to work her magic so that we could purchase a different site in a section that had not been released yet. The lot was perfect, much better than the other two!
Brunswick Forest sales weekend
Haven't seen too much yet; just started interior. Exterior looks great.
Thank you, Mike Johnson.
So far, so good.
Employees yes but not interacting with subcontractors.
Special mention to Ashley Kent & Kate DaSilva.
Not done yet but very pleased so far.
Mike is a great PM. Extremely knowledgeable and keeps us apprised of all in a professional manner. Excellent communication and attention to detail; feel very confident that he is overseeing our home construction.
At the Design Center, obtain the CAD module which will allow you to view the actual colors of the interior and exterior
Satisfactorily resolved the issue related to the ARC committee requirements to the plans submitted by offering an alternative solution.
A couple of times I had to call my P.M to verify that we were having a conference call on that date and time scheduled in my calendar. He was not always the first to remember to do it.
Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable when I asked them questions when I was on site.
Vanessa was especially very professional in dealing with all of the changes and corrections that we made during the revision and selection process.
During the final review process, Kent should make the client aware that there is a 10% chance that the ARC committee may want some changes made before construction begins. Also, Kent should make the client aware that if they are building a home on a corner lot that they will need to spend more money than allocated to address the additional landscaping that may be required as a result of the corner lot.
Thanks for addressing the specific needs I required , especially related to the bonus room. I’m sure you found my questions much more detailed and exploratory than most of your other clients. Thanks for your patience.
They have achieved our expectations to this point
One mix-up with the cabinets and cost us an additional $150
Not always clear when we receive a change order request. A little more background information would have helped with the reasoning behind the change order to the garage door.
Answered questions efficiently and to our satisfaction.
Yes - we really enjoyed both the past and the entire process
We are happy with Kent Homes
Yes - we have found them professional and on top of things.
Absolutely, loved working with Ashley
Yes, all of our questions were answered.
Yes, see answer above.
Yes, see answer above.
We are happy with everything.
We learned about them from viewing the model homes.
We cannot express how happy we have been with Michael
Need to update computer visuals.
When things have gone wrong they have been rectified within a week to our satisfaction. We are still in the process of building.
Salesman from St James
Standard carpet options seemed pretty cheap
Being able to look at a computerized depiction of the exterior of the home sure would help in finalizing the decision on the colors, shingles, stone, etc. Surely that technology is available.
We have friends who are also building Kent homes and we all agree that Kent is the best!
Where are more stars??? Five doesn’t give her justice!! Ashley Kent is professionalism personified!!
We really have not had to deal with any issues that meet the definition for‘concerns’
We have no cause for concern as they have set the tempo and we have no fear that things will change.
We met Ashley Kent in the Shelter Bay model and was impressed at the outset!
We love the home design. It is beautiful. But we had concerns about supervision that we expressed from Day 1 which we were assured would not be an issue and yet became big issues. We still have a major unresolved issue that Kent is willing to fix, but will be so disruptive and messy that we may elect not to fix it. Problem is it never should have happened and should have been caught at many levels intheir organization. It started with a construction drawing that was wrong. The error was caught and then “fixed” incorrectly. It could have been fixed properly in a few hours when the house was in framing but now will take a weeknof tearing up the interior of the house.
I live in the area they are building and have friends that have Kent homes
We visited a model and pursued
We are very happy and pleased we chose Kent homes
Three neighbors on our street had tire issues because of the nails and screws being left near our property. When Kent was made aware of it due to the neighbors calling Kent, they rectified it.
Michael Johnson, our project manger was outstanding in all areas of his job.
After speaking to neighbors who built with other builders, our products (especially our landscaping) were far superior to other builders.
The cleaning crew that Kent Homes uses does not meet the standards that Kent has in all other areas of their company. Our cleaners were terrible. Our windows were filthy. When I spoke to our project manager about it he said, "You are right. We don't have a good cleaning crew". We spent 500,000 dollars on a house and we came into a dirty house. That is the only thing I want to make note on about them. They are excellent. I would recommend Kent Homes to anyone, but their cleaning crew is terrible and I am not a neat freak.
Carol Hobbs, Kate DiSilva, Scott Upchurch
Would like to have specified the coffered style ceiling in the great room, was told it was not available in my model, yet another homeowner in my neighborhood with the same model has it. Also - would like to have added more insulation in the exterior walls.
Curb appeal from the outside
I never have built a new home before, but generally speaking, Kent Homes made the experience as smooth as possible. With a few minor issues at the end, the process was acceptable.
I would like to see more pictures of the build no matter minuscule it is.
Through the web.
So pleased with the house and staff I work with.
Picked Kent homes from their reputation on the street to be reliable builders for out of state customers. That seems to be exactly what I got in contracting with Kent.
Not sure what that means, but I certainly would give Kent Homes every consideration if I should build again.
Chris Moore and Carol Hobbs!!
Double man doors or golf cart door replacing current single pedestrian door into garage.
master bedroom/master bath/wash room layout.
in speaking to my new friends it seems we had fewer problems. This is despite the fact that we only visited the building site 1 mandatory time during construction. Random people told us of Kent's reliability during construction and it proved to be true. (BTW, I don't give 5 stars for nearly ANY category as a rule.)
The only thing is that we've had a couple of occasions such as the other day where the selections we have aren't available. A lot of things were ordered or picked out 6 months ago, and now they say they're not available. We're six weeks out from completion.
We would of liked more options for tile, flooring and carpeting.
After visiting my sister in St. James Plantation, I looked at Kent's model homes and liked the layout and construction.
All changes that impacted the budget were clearly discussed.
The selection process was well run. Doing your homework prior to the selection meetings is key.
Kate has been very attentive and considerate when we had questions or concerns.
So far, so good.
Pricing has been stated very clearly.
Through Brunswick Forest realty personnel.
A completed house for friends and Parade of Home solidified my selection of Kent.
I mostly strongly agree. Because my lot resulted in needing a crawl space, the loggia floor needs to be a deck floor, plus I added a exterior deck since the exit will not be on grade. I would have preferred synthetic flooring rather than treated wood as I believe that will be less maintenance down the road. This was not an option.
My good friends purchased their home from Kent Homes and I liked what i saw.
I believe that progress photos should be provided the day before the bi-weekly call with the PM. I have not found value in these calls without a visual to be able to ask questions or catch an issues.
Yes, anyone I have worked with from Kent Homes is professional and courteous.
As per the above, provide progress pictures in time for the biweekly call so that out of state located customers can have a more productive virtual meeting and to catch potential issues sooner rather than later. More consistent bi weekly calls.
Sometimes it was hard to distinguish in the model homes (and on line) what was an upgrade vs. what's included in the base model.
From the SJP salesman, model homes in STJ and Brunswick Forrest, as well as on-line referrals.
There was a change in our Kent Homes contact person during our process due to Elizabeth leaving the company. It would have been easier if we had had one contact throughout.
Kent Homes was one of the builders we were required to choose from for our neighborhood.
Following the initial sales process, we also had a change in our designer, due to job changes. It would have been more seamless if we had just the one sales agent, then one designer. That said, the process went smoothly but it was a little unsettling to keep working with new people.
Jim Talbot, Randy Parrish & Nancy Kustyn. All excellent & responsive professionals. We would also like to give recognition to Moser Mechanical. Their patience & outstanding service was truly commendable.
Better exterior insulation, & installation of interior soundproofing insulation in some of the walls especially in the bedrooms. Powder room on ground floor & larger laundry area to permit a sink; don’t really like the engineered wood floors; option of installing hurricane shutters during the construction; extremely disappointed in the landscaping.
We love the lanai
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Kent Homes as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
