My wife and I dreaded the idea of hiring a general contractor for years as everyone has heard the horror stories especially living in Miami. The typical GC doesn’t show up for days on end, are in constant unstructured need of money to keep the project going (or their other projects), and are preoccupied with other things other than getting your job done... We were looking to renovate our 2 bathrooms and kitchen but we knew it would be a complicated project and require an experienced hand. We had walls and plumbing to relocate as well as dealing with the complexities of dealing The City of Miami Shores and the permitting/inspection process. We met with several reputable GC’s in the area and really didn’t get a great feeling from any of them until we met Chris from Habify. From the very first interview to the final walk thru after construction, his entire staff has been a pleasure to work with. Saying they are just “professional” doesn’t do them, their work, or their unique business model justice. I thank every member of the Habify team for all their hard work and dedication to providing a quality finished product and also a very happy client. I am very detail oriented person and Amy was great working through every single element of the design before we got starred on construction. Because of her work and communication, nothing was overlooked and our expectations were very clear and focused throughout the process. Our lead Carpenter Jesse made the entire project actually come to fruition. He's a very skilled foreman who's sole responsibility was our project. Everyday on time, a great attitude and a real asset to Habify.

Additional Comments - Considering this project was situated in the middle of my house, and I had to live here while they worked, Habify was able to demo and rebuild my bathroom with attention to maintaining the rest of my home without damage. The steps they took to minimize the necessary side effects of demolition and construction were thorough and effective.

Working with Habify was an extremely refreshing experience. In a town where punctuality and reliability are scarce commodities, Habify delivered with flying colors. Communication, professionalism, and quality craftsmanship are the backbone of this company and I would be honored to call myself a client of theirs for future projects.

They were making complicated systems for things that could have been simpler, however, I think the quality of what they did and their attentiveness to their client's desires was exceptional.

In short, Habify brings it ALL to the table! High standards are set in place and will not be compromised. They have created an excellent team of employees that take pride in every aspect of the project! They care about what they are doing! They care that they are in your home and are both conscientious and respectful! They care that you are happy with the product they work so hard to provide. Even though my budget was strictly limited and the project involved only one side of the yard, the project manager, Buck Reilly, innovatively devised an affordable plan and spared no effort in researching and executing it. Habify understands that landscaping should be a thoughtful, collaborative endeavor that benefits from considering a multitude of factors, ranging from aesthetics and climate to community relations. I am particularly grateful that Buck provided extensive follow-up on the plantings and installation of barriers. Rather than just meeting the minimum requirements of a contract and hurriedly moving on, he truly cares that a project flourishes in the future.

He was very knowledgeable in the diverse areas I inquired about, ranging from local horticulture to building construction, climate, public conservation programs, and community relations. Buck quickly performs research on new topics; as a result, it felt as if we were both involved in an enjoyable learning process. Finally, and perhaps most impressive, is the fact that Buck provided--and is still providing--outstanding follow-up service, such as checking on the condition of the plants weekly while I'm away and supplying whatever extra support they need, whether more staking or increased irrigation.
