The materials she showed us were selected with economy in mind, but still absolutely beautiful, especially in combination with one another. She helped us recognize where we should focus our funds and areas we could economize on. We appreciated her detailed blueprints of proposed floor plans, that helped us visualize ideas and changes to our physical space. What really "sold" us on Drury was Janice's reassurance that if we did not like any of her three designs, that she would keep working until we were satisfied. She made all of our big decisions as easy as possible.

Design

Design - While our kitchen was updated with no change in floor plan, our master bath was remodeled. We are very satisfied with the new layout and extra storage space.

Recognized Excellence - All people associated with Drury did a very good job, but shout outs are definitely in order. Working with Janice was like working with an experienced friend - one with exceptional design, organization, and communication skills, and a great team to do the physical work. Slavik and Lucas were good problem solvers. Slavik designed a great concealed trash disposal/storage area and a sturdy lazy Susan, both vast improvements to what we started with. Lucas was never daunted by any obstacle that arose during the project. He is a hard worker who came early and never left until the day's work was done, and done well. We also enjoyed his sunny disposition. Angel installed the kitchen and bath tile with speed and expertise. Just beautiful work. Drury has high standards for the partners they choose and it shows.

Areas Of Satisfaction - This was our first major home project, and I think Drury has spoiled us in what we might now expect from any others going forward. Drury presented us with a printed schedule of how the project would proceed, i.e. "who, what and when". Other than one or two supply chain issues beyond anyone's control, all proceeded as planned. Another item of note is that Angel had decorative shower floor tile left over. He suggested we use it to enhance the shower wall niche. We got a little pizzaz without any extra cost. In another example, one of the sink installers noticed a slight crack in the sink before it went in, and a replacement was installed. Any issues that arose after the project was completed, no matter how small, were always addressed promptly.

Walking into their finished space, we could see first hand the quality of the design and workmanship, further bolstered by their positive experience with the company. I am not sure if I would or wouldn’t recommend Drury Design Kitchen & Bath. There are certainly many good reasons for working with them, but unfortunately, in our particular case, I don’t think the level of care we received measured up to the time and cost of the remodel. However, I’d like to mention our end results are beautiful, so if my response was based solely on that, my answer might be higher in the “likely to recommend” category.

Tom is a remarkable craftsman who painstakingly put together all the elements of our kitchen, with impressive results. He kept the construction area contained, and protected. The craftsmanship is evident, in the cabinetry, tile work, lighting and flooring. If you looked at the original rendering and compared it with the finished kitchen, it is one and the same.

The floor is amazing - it was matched to our original flooring almost perfectly, which is some feat considering the original flooring is almost 70 years old!

This is my second project with Drury. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a high quality, well designed and beautiful remodel expertly installed. Their design process, communication and service makes a normally stressful experience smooth and straightforward. This is as painless as remodeling can possibly be.

Clean - Not only did the contractor do everything inside my condominium to keep the project clean, he laid down tarps in the common hallways and was vigilant to keep them clean and safe.

Communication - Alicia Saso is outstanding for her communication. She is prompt with her replies and patient with every question asked. She is direct and answers every question and concern with a straightforward answer. She is detail oriented and points out possible problems before they happen. She also has great design ideas and the ability to communicate them. This office project entailed some redesign and requoting, which Alicia accommodated with patience and good humor. She was never unwilling to quote an alternate option and incorporate it into the design to see where it would go. Rick Windgassen, their project manager was also a life saver. When I found myself in need of some expertise with the audio/video aspect of the remodel, he brought in an outside AV firm and we all met on site to hammer out those final details. Though I am singing their professional praises here, I also have to say that Alicia and everyone at Drury are all personally fun to work with. Frosting on the cake, but much appreciated.

Grabill must really value the relationship with Drury to have gone to such extraordinary lengths to resolve the problem overnight and at great cost to them.

Why Drury Design? - My previous experience working with Alicia and Drury on my kitchen made me want to use them again. My kitchen is beautiful and makes me happy every day. Originally, I picked Drury for my kitchen project after doing on line research of their ratings with Houzz, visiting with Alicia in my home and visiting the Drury showroom in Glenn Ellyn.

We had a great experience with Drury on our Kitchen reno. Alicia was great and super detail oriented. She worked with us and highlighted many things that we would not have through of. Drury and our GC Tom were always advocating for us and being transparent with information. When things didn't go as planned, everyone with Drury did as much as possible to get things back on track.
