Our Project Manager Jon and all the Degnan Subcontractors did a super job. They were professional, courteous, skilled and communicated with us each day. We are extremely with our remodel and it is exactly what we wanted.

T & M Carpentry was amazing and fully replaced our roof within one week - simply amazing. We were SO thankful to get it done. Thank You!

Communication - Excellent communicators. We loved the Degnan process. Their process uses a queuing system, so we were kept well aware of where our project stood and when it would begin and length of time it would take to be completed. Jon our project manager with Degnan checked in with us each morning of work to be done each day. We knew which subcontractor(s) would be working at our house each day. Jon was only a cellphone call away if we had questions..

Problem Resolution - Whenever an issue arose, Jon and the subcontractors were able to use their excellent trades skills to professionally make the correction(s) needed. Always professionally done.

Value - We knew with having five walls taken down in our house, having a 30-foot support beam installed in our ceiling, and adding back a few bathroom walls, would be a huge project for our home. We wanted to make sure to go with a good Contractor to get the job done at a fair price. We felt Degnan was our best choice to get the job done for us & stay within our budget. We worked well with them and they worked well with us.

Remodeling Concerns - We like where we live and did not want to move to a condo. With having a smaller ranch home we knew what we wanted for our remodel. We had very little working space in our kitchen & several small rooms. We wanted walls to be removed to have an open concept and let more light in. We wanted to keep our beautiful hickory kitchen cabinets and blend them with adding new sage green cabinets & install an 8-foot island. We wanted walk-in showers and a first floor laundry. Degnan worked with us to make this happen. We couldn’t be happier with our result.

Schedule - I think Degnan Design-Build-Remodel of Madison did the best they could do given the major shortages and back orders of materials. Kelly even suggested an almost identical product so the completion of our bathroom wouldn’t be delayed 3 months

Communication - Co-construct was a good way to stay in touch and our lead carpenter was always good with phone calls and texts.

The Degnan group was well coordinated. They listened well and did a great job responding to set backs. I’d definitely recommend. I’m a bit picky about electrical design and that is my only critique. After our electrical consultation, when the electrician came to do the work, a lot of our discussed details were lost and either had to be redone or had to be left in a less than perfect state. Every other aspect had a high attention to detail and excellent project management. The Degnan team was caring and giving along the way.

Schedule - Our home was COMPLETELY gutted and rebuilt in 4 months. WOW! And thank you. We were so thrilled with the timeline, and so was our apartment-renting pocketbook.

Communication - The project lead and I had daily check ins (walking by every morning was a good thing, because we were able to problem-solve immediately and quickly), and when there were harder conversations, Degnan always listened and approached a concern with a fair, objective perspective.

Problem Resolution

Problem Resolution - Degnan was very responsive, even post-construction. We thought our counter had a defect, and was holding onto stains. They brought the counter rep out to check, and they came prepared with a buffet of cleaning supplies to support their visit. Turned out, we didn't have the right cleaning supplies (easy, silly fix on our part), but they were so kind and thorough.

Punchlist - I have no reason to believe that they won't be great about our 1-year warranty.

Areas Of Sat: Design Selections Process - My favorite part of the selection process was seeing how I could replace my old bathroom with a new one that was in keeping with my traditional house. It is very contemporary; it looks wonderful.

Problem Resolution - When the flooring was removed it was discovered that the previous remodelers(25years ago) has installed the plumbing incorrectly and it had to be replaced. Kelly Lawton snd his crew did it quickly and the schedule only was extended by a day. Separate reasonable contract as it was not included in the remodeling contract.

Now I like it but perhaps someone might have consulted with me and the installer before the job was started. Only complaint I have and it in not a serious one in the overall project!
