The house is very good. I like the design of the house. The process went smoothly.
The process has been really easy and they have gone above and beyond for me.
It's in a good neighbodhood. It's been 6 months and we like the place. The schools are highly rated, and that's important to us where we bought our home.
To date, my experience with the Buffington staff, Terrah Grayum, Kelley Talley, Emily Noetzel and Betsy Martin has been great. They each have shown wonderful customer service and have administered excellent response to my questions. The contractor we met with was also good. He was thorough in explaining the building schedule for our home.
Too early in the process to give a real answer.
Process has been smooth, communication has been reasonably responsive, and attention to detail has been great. Hopefully the next 8 months go the same way, as the outcome will truly determine my likeliness to recommend Buffington Homes to a friend.
The contract, construction, walkthroughs, and closing went as planned with no delays.
Buffington Homes is not flexible with the selections and not customer friendly at all.
They are really good and professional. I would definitely recommend them.
The product is great, but the process was a total nightmare. In the initial orientation we were told we would receive updates from our superintendent on the progress of our home weekly on Friday after groundbreaking. That never once happened. The issues truly started with the design appointment. Now that we’ve been in the neighborhood for some time and seen several homes (same floor plan) it’s absolutely insane the number of options that we were not even told about. The side garage door, spice racks in the kitchen, space under the stairs. Insane. We could not get the superintendent to nail down any dates and were given the runaround on why things were not happening in a timely manner. More often than not they would blame lack of progress on the pandemic, but we would drive to other Buffington subdivisions and see work being done every day. We were not nearly as upset by the delays as we were the lack of communication. The vendor management is virtually nonexistent. In fairness Steve was efficient and I appreciated that he seemed to care. It is our experience that the Buffington approach is reactive vs proactive and the overall sentiment in the neighborhood is shockingly poor. The end product is nice, but i very much recommend purchasing a model home vs starting from scratch unless you set your expectations accordingly.
I would for sure recommend. The process has not been stressful at all. I was a little nervous but any questions or concerns I had were explained in a professional manner. From the sales team to the designers to the building team, it has been a literal dream and I am very excited to have such a wonderful, professional team building my home.
This is our second time to build a home with Buffington. We chose them again because of how pleased we were with our first home! The second time around has been even better. We cannot recommend them more!
Build Process - Carl Cott has been the most incredible builder. He has kept us up to date on every step and really has gone above and beyond the cal of duty. We think he’s the greatest!
Sales Communication - Adam Reynolds has been amazing since the first day we walked into the model home. We would call him a friend how, not just a sales agent. He has made sure this process was fun and exactly what we wanted. He’s the best!
We have had a fantastic experience with Buffington Homes as we were building our home. The product is high quality. The customer service has been great, and I would highly recommend!
Areas Of Satisfaction - They met or exceeded my expectations with, Jillian, who was our sales representative. She was fantastic with communication. She responded quickly day or night. I would also like to recognize, Carl, the supervisor managing the quality of the home. He was highly responsive. After the closing, some things came up, and he responded quickly, and that is why I gave it a 5-star rating on quality. He has been all over it. It comes down to the people, and Carl and Jillian have been fantastic to work with.
Most Exciting Feature - I am most excited about the fact that within their homes, they just put in a ton of windows, and how much light comes in the house. It gives it a modern trend feel. Their design and materials are very on trend, and gives a new look and feel to the home. Those are the two things we talk about the most.
Additional Comments - It was interesting, and we proceeded with caution, because of a mixed review about Buffington Homes. From start to finish there was no merit to what a friend said. I said I don't know where that came from. It was positive to us. There has been some perceived issues, but whatever they are doing to turn that around is good. We had zero complaints and are pleased with our experience
I think the homes are really good and the construction is unique.
Buffington Homes is a very established company I like that they are up front with everything.
The experience with Buffington was smooth from the beginning to the end.
I like the quality and build of the home .
The entire process has been fantastic so far.
All parties that I have interacted with have been extremely helpful and accommodating.
Although there were interesting rough patches during our build process, the end result of our house ended up being everything that we were looking for, and we're very happy with the result. The house quality is top notch, and I'm happy with how everything turned out.
Quality of construction.
Buffington builds beautiful homes for an affordable price. There is opportunity to improve the process and construction quality but overall we had a great experience.
Their very strict on things that has gone wrong. They should be more flexible
I think Buffington Homes gave me an accurate estimate of when the home would be ready. They were true to the design process. There were a few things they missed. They kept me updated through the whole process.
The quality could be better. The workmanship could be better.
They were very professional and I like the floor plan.
I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends and family.
Had some difficulties on the front end (sales negotiating, pressure regarding price increases, some frustrations around lack of communication) but the back end/build process has been great and we know of their great quality of homes/design. Overall, if someone is looking to build in NWA but cannot afford a 100% complete custom build (and find/afford the land, etc.), Buffington offers a service that no one else really does right now.
I think for this area, if there were more competition, there would be more choices for the design options. We were working with another company, but we had some price changes that went up. So we left them and came to Buffington Homes.
They are not at all easy to deal with. They do not respond in a timely manner. I asked if I could convert a half bath to a full bath and they would not let me.
Buffington's product is good but the process was not.
They were professional with their work, had good designs, and they gave a set of great options to select from.
So far, every person my wife and I have interacted with has been very nice and professional, especially Terrah.
They been very rude at time and not cooperative at all. Being first time home buyers and doing the selection through zoom they didn't help me to get the need selection. I still don't know whom to reach out for issue's
Absolutely - my dear friends, Jamison and Ariel Sibley, recommended Buffington to me, and specifically Allen's Mill to build my home. I am greatly thankful to them and will do the same for others I know.
100% will recommend! Love the home! Love the neighborhood!
The process started well with the initial contact and design session, once construction started there was little to no communication and we had to call out several things they missed which led to significant delays in the completion date.
Working with Buffington Homes Specifically Adam and Carl was a wonderful experience. I would recommend them to friends and family.
They were fantastic through the building process, but, since closing, it has been hard to get things fixed. They have not been responsive and we still have some outstanding punch list items from two months ago that have not been handled.
Additional Comments - Carl went above and beyond to give us an exceptional building experience. Our home was spotless from the very beginning to the end of construction. He made building our first a really enjoyable experience for our family.
Buffington builds beautiful homes and we are mostly happy with the final results. However, many things along the way, including square footage changes with elevation choices, continuous changes in upgrade vs. not upgrade (over the course of just a few months), and inconsistency in build features (things in model home vs, what we ended up with in our Gramercy) were disappointing and frustrating. Additionally, communication was not optimal with our Buffington agent, and we had several issues getting responses or trying to tour our home, eventually prompting intervention by the supervisor. Another note would be that in the future, I will require from my builder the books for all fixtures and choices up front BEFORE my design appointment. Buffington said that once we made choices in our appointment, everything was final. We were told time and time again that your processes and company are not able to handle changes along the way, however, you did not give an opportunity to be fully prepared, and Buffington saw fit to make changes or schedule things on short notice and/or cancel when it was convenient for them. Two things we are still especially not happy with, are the landscaping that was provided, and the large beam across our kitchen opening that was not described to us in the appointment and not featured in the model home. Overall, the quality of the home and features seem great, but we were not treated as a priority and our answer from the Agent when we asked for help was, "You have to understand that Buffington builds 500 homes a year and we cannot accommodate each buyer and their requests." While this may very well be your situation, we also have multiple choices in the future for a builder and would hope our next experience would make us feel like someone wants to help build our dream home and treat us with respect and an appropriate amount of customer service.
Pleasant building experience. On time, great people to work with, great process. Things that weren't exactly positive - we sought out to be able to customize a little more than they allowed and some of the features in base pricing was cheap in our opinion.
Supervision, decent workmanship, communication and a larger assortment of things to choose from at the design center. Please help me get my issues resolved. Landscaping was nice in the front , but sod is so rough we can't walk through the yard. I'm not sure it was even rolled out - it looks awful and not sure what to do about it.
I chose Buffington because it was projected to a premium builder with quality product. Also to be honest there weren't too many other options. Pricing of the houses are slightly higher compared to the other builders/houses in the area. But my experience hasn't been that good. I would definitely caution others to think twice before making a decision.
Areas Of Satisfaction - I absolutely loved the process. Everyone was so nice and the process of selecting everything early was fun and easy.
Most Exciting Feature - It's a great neighborhood, well built home and a place we are excited to call home.
Additional Comments - Overall. pretty good. i am loving my home. thanks for buffington for my making my dream come true.
Yes, Buffington homes build good quality beautiful homes. IWe love it :-)
I love all of the Buffington Homes Floor plans The open kitchen/floor plans are great. The windows are also very large and adds to the open feel
It had been good, I would highly recommend them to anyone in the city looking for a house. The construction quality is good.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Buffington Homes as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
