We are primarily working from home. The home office is closed to most staff. Sales offices are by appointment only. Warranty work in occupied homes is being limited to emergency repairs only.
Buffington Homes has been great to work with. Expectations were set and timelines were honored. As in all new builds, challenges arise and each challenge was met with as much resolve as able.
No timely communication on the progress, delays and needs number of follow ups to get a clarification/ answers.
We love the home and how it turned out.
You really need to free up Dan to work closer with he buyer. Your agents suck at it. For the price you are asking you really need to stop cutting corners and hire better subs. It is stupid that errors the subs make are not addressed until the end, they should be addressed immediately. If Dan had more time to be at the houses the subs would do a better job, I had to point out several ways they were doing things incorrectly or sloppy.
Our home is beautiful and we're very happy with the home itself. To get to this point was difficult. If it were based on the house alone, I would recommend Buffington with 5 stars easily. With the sales agents of Buffington itself, I cannot give it 5 stars. The last few weeks before our closing was very disappointing. Communication was severely lacking.
Some of the structural design elements are dated. Agent experience has not been the best.
They are very professional and accommodating.
Had a good experience so far, though it is very early in to our homes construction, heard almost positive feedback from friend's who brought
I don't want to recommend because they take forever to build the house, I have signed contract back in Sep 2020, and there is no major action on the lot so far.
The house is very good. I like the design of the house. The process went smoothly.
The process has been really easy and they have gone above and beyond for me.
It's in a good neighbodhood. It's been 6 months and we like the place. The schools are highly rated, and that's important to us where we bought our home.
To date, my experience with the Buffington staff, Terrah Grayum, Kelley Talley, Emily Noetzel and Betsy Martin has been great. They each have shown wonderful customer service and have administered excellent response to my questions. The contractor we met with was also good. He was thorough in explaining the building schedule for our home.
Too early in the process to give a real answer.
Process has been smooth, communication has been reasonably responsive, and attention to detail has been great. Hopefully the next 8 months go the same way, as the outcome will truly determine my likeliness to recommend Buffington Homes to a friend.
The contract, construction, walkthroughs, and closing went as planned with no delays.
Buffington Homes is not flexible with the selections and not customer friendly at all.
They are really good and professional. I would definitely recommend them.
The product is great, but the process was a total nightmare. In the initial orientation we were told we would receive updates from our superintendent on the progress of our home weekly on Friday after groundbreaking. That never once happened. The issues truly started with the design appointment. Now that we’ve been in the neighborhood for some time and seen several homes (same floor plan) it’s absolutely insane the number of options that we were not even told about. The side garage door, spice racks in the kitchen, space under the stairs. Insane. We could not get the superintendent to nail down any dates and were given the runaround on why things were not happening in a timely manner. More often than not they would blame lack of progress on the pandemic, but we would drive to other Buffington subdivisions and see work being done every day. We were not nearly as upset by the delays as we were the lack of communication. The vendor management is virtually nonexistent. In fairness Steve was efficient and I appreciated that he seemed to care. It is our experience that the Buffington approach is reactive vs proactive and the overall sentiment in the neighborhood is shockingly poor. The end product is nice, but i very much recommend purchasing a model home vs starting from scratch unless you set your expectations accordingly.
I would for sure recommend. The process has not been stressful at all. I was a little nervous but any questions or concerns I had were explained in a professional manner. From the sales team to the designers to the building team, it has been a literal dream and I am very excited to have such a wonderful, professional team building my home.
This is our second time to build a home with Buffington. We chose them again because of how pleased we were with our first home! The second time around has been even better. We cannot recommend them more!
Build Process - Carl Cott has been the most incredible builder. He has kept us up to date on every step and really has gone above and beyond the cal of duty. We think he’s the greatest!
Sales Communication - Adam Reynolds has been amazing since the first day we walked into the model home. We would call him a friend how, not just a sales agent. He has made sure this process was fun and exactly what we wanted. He’s the best!
We have had a fantastic experience with Buffington Homes as we were building our home. The product is high quality. The customer service has been great, and I would highly recommend!
Areas Of Satisfaction - They met or exceeded my expectations with, Jillian, who was our sales representative. She was fantastic with communication. She responded quickly day or night. I would also like to recognize, Carl, the supervisor managing the quality of the home. He was highly responsive. After the closing, some things came up, and he responded quickly, and that is why I gave it a 5-star rating on quality. He has been all over it. It comes down to the people, and Carl and Jillian have been fantastic to work with.
Most Exciting Feature - I am most excited about the fact that within their homes, they just put in a ton of windows, and how much light comes in the house. It gives it a modern trend feel. Their design and materials are very on trend, and gives a new look and feel to the home. Those are the two things we talk about the most.
Additional Comments - It was interesting, and we proceeded with caution, because of a mixed review about Buffington Homes. From start to finish there was no merit to what a friend said. I said I don't know where that came from. It was positive to us. There has been some perceived issues, but whatever they are doing to turn that around is good. We had zero complaints and are pleased with our experience
I think the homes are really good and the construction is unique.
Buffington Homes is a very established company I like that they are up front with everything.
The experience with Buffington was smooth from the beginning to the end.
