We are primarily working from home. The home office is closed to most staff. Sales offices are by appointment only. Warranty work in occupied homes is being limited to emergency repairs only.
They are not doing the work on time, without issues.
Good selection of locations, floorplans, and design options. Flawed execution. Poor communication.

We would not recommend Buffington to anyone. Wish we would have read reviews on Buffington before we chose to build with them because we would have went a different direction. It’s telling when all the reviews on Buffington are negative. The homes look beautiful on the surface but the quality of the home is terrible. We have only lived here for 2 months and it’s already falling apart. Would not recommend Buffington.
Slow slow slow building, permits, etc
The Buffington home building experience is a simple case of over-selling and under-delivering. When spending as much as we did on a new home, we expected quality materials, workmanship, and communication but do not feel that is what was received. Instead, we were delivered a compilation of cheap materials and mediocre work. We had 4 different site superintendents through our build which added headache to the process -- and the final one we had would blow sunshine, tell you they are doing X,Y,Z when they aren't doing anything, would basically lie to your face, and conveniently disappeared as soon as we closed on the home.
Difficult to work with
My experience with Buffington is that if you are cooperative with them and recognize what they have to accomplish and get done, you can build a great relationship with them.
It's a year and a half year later and the job is still not completed. They had to come over 50 times and still nothing has been completed properly. There were a lot of things that weren't installed properly, and they did not clean up at all after they were finished.
I would recommend Buffington Homes to a friend. I have been referring my friends and four of my friends have bought homes since I got mine.
Everything was good with Buffington Homes. I had four or five issues during the building process, which shouldn't happen during a new build, but other than that everything was good.
responses from the agents are poor. during closing time, not given time to inspect the home and address the open issues on time. Delays the construction for longer time than committed, however towards closing time, not ready to offer 2 weeks of time due to Bank side delays.
Buffington Homes demonstrates the highest quality at affordable price homes. From the first time I visited with staff and toured their model and existing properties, I knew this was what I wanted.
I am excited about the plan we chose and the location of the neighborhood
Buffington Homes is a great builder but hard to work with.
Yes, and we have! We lovw our Buffington Home and the team we got to work with throught the process!
Great quality and design! Love working with the Buffington team throughout the process.
Communication throughout our entire home building process was very hit & miss from start to finish. I attribute this to too many homes going up for Buffington at one time + I think the realtors we dealt with (Kelly & Terrah) do not have the support they need to manage the relationship that we had. Not letting them have any communication with the contractors/sub contractors made it very difficult for us to get answers we needed or time estimates for things when they needed to happen.
Lauren from Studio Design was really great.
I would recommend the dream team (Terrah, James, Kelley and Carl) to anyone looking to build. They are genuinely concerned with your interests and goals.
Poor quality, cheap subcontractors, design team is not informed, so much turnover with staff. They made recommendations to us and now have a home with things that don’t match.
Buffington builds quality homes that are thoughtful in design with plenty of options to choose from. Our family is happy with how things turned out! It’s our dream home with lots of curb appeal!
They have great communication skills, and they are always on top of things.
I am already in a Buffington Homes home. This is my second home with them. They have the best quality in Arkansas.
The quality of the flooring and appliances are not good. It is comparable to an apartment. The timeframe to completion has been lengthy.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the opportunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Buffington Homes as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
