Disappointed on the mark-up on items. Refrigerator for example that costs $3300 and being charged $6500 is ridiculous. When I inquired I was told, “well the $6500 price includes delivery and installation.” I bought the same fridge from Metro and paid $3000 less, including delivery and installation. The minimum quality and amenities that come included and then the very limited options, even for a spec home, are disappointing.

Overall, we feel like it was a 5-Star experience. The few things that had to be dealt with that weren't 5-Star could have happened in any situation of building a house.

This is our first home to build from scratch and I felt Buffington made the process easy and we really enjoyed working with Jamie, Rob, Ben and Grant during our process.

The service Buffington homes provides claim to be top of the class in constructing new homes, but my experience has not been great. I had to have a conversation to get anything done and ended up in an argument and ended up having to pay for everything that needed to be fixed in the house. Everything it was a painful process to get things done. That is one of the reasons I would not recommend Buffington Homes.

The process of building with many options did not go well.. every option on the build for the frameout was not done correctly..

Communication throughout build process could’ve been better. There were some big oversights that needed to be repaired and wasn’t done until the week or two prior to closing.

I would absolutely recommend Buffington Homes to a friend or family member. What truly sets them apart is the people who work for the company. Every person we interacted with took genuine pride in their work and cared about building strong, respectful relationships with buyers.

Throughout the process, the team was professional, responsive, and transparent. It never felt transactional — instead, it felt like they were invested in delivering a home we’d love. Their attention to detail and willingness to communicate made a stressful process feel manageable and reassuring.

Buffington Homes builds more than just houses; they build trust. The integrity, craftsmanship, and personal care shown by their team is the reason I would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a builder who truly stands behind their work and values their customers.

I just went through the design build process and would definitely recommend Buffington. Start to finish, the process was smooth with steps laid out in advance so I knew the timelines of what to expect. Selecting design options was fun and stress free thanks to the help of the Buffington Design Professional and having samples of options available for view in Buffington’s design center. My Buffington sales rep and field manager called each week during construction to answer any questions and provide an update on what had been done that week and what was scheduled for the following week. Construction was completed on schedule and the team worked hard to make sure any last minute inspection items were resolved before closing. After closing, the warranty portal makes it easy to have any warranty items addressed, and the warranty team is extremely responsive. This is my second Buffington home and I’ve had a great experience with both. It’s evident Buffington makes customer satisfaction a top priority.

Buffington was easy and delightful to work with throughout our purchase and build journey. I would recommend them to my closest friends and family, or anyone looking for a beautiful new construction home in the NWA area.

I want to mention Ashley Strange. She is so very helpful and she really helped me pick beautiful finishes. She pointed me in the right direction and gave me confidence in my choices.

I appreciate the 60-day warranty check-in. It was very helpful. Mike is a perfect representative for Buffington. We have also had professional interactions with Buffington's trade partners as well. We appreciate the system that Buffington has in place for their homeowners.

Overall, we had a great experience. We love our home, the location, and the result of what we chose to build.

Knowing what we now know I would tell someone that the house is well built but be aware that these are high end cookie cutter homes with options. But know that these options after selection may not be communicated with the tradesmen. I would tell someone to constantly check your change order before the pre-drywall walk through as well as after and keep on top of it. We had a few issues and one was not completed (Gas Line) to the laundry room until shortly before closing. It was pointed out prior to sheet rock but was never corrected and when I brought it up I was told that it was not included. I had to show my copy of the changed order where I had it highlighted. It was taken care of but Sheetrock and insulation had to be taken out and replaced. If I haven’t been proactive we would not have a gas line to hook our gas dryer into. I actually felt like a field manager.

I would recommend them because the house is good quality and we haven't had any trouble or any problems along the way. They fixed anything immediately.

Semi custom is great. Design studio was awesome. Updates and communication were impeccable.

They were very responsive. Quick to fix anything that you are not happy with about the house.
