To many times it seems the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Items such as when doing the build instead of picking up broken bricks they were buried along the foundation. No books are available for the appliances that were installed. Doing the walk through a week ahead of closing and checking to see if all repairs done before closing, was a very difficult time. Had Buffington people apologizing for the condition of the home. Then when we did the final walk through before closing items I wasn't happy with became an industry standard. While I know Buffington isn't a custom builder and a production builder. Being a production builder doesn't mean you can't do a quality job. We have a spot on the countertop which we said all along was a scratch. Buffington employees told us it was just dirt or something. Put some sort of cleaner on it and then you couldn't see it. Except now 4 days later you can see the spot in question. Does appear to be a scratch. Bottom line with Buffington's peoples surprise of the condition of the home at walk through it appears they are more concerned on production than quality. One thing I do know is you can be productive and do quality work. Leader standard and standard work could go a long way to correct these issues. When we purchased this floor plan we talked extensively about the size of the garage. Explained to them we needed a garage that was at least 21' deep so I could get my pickup in. Was given a drawing that showed the garage at 21'2". Unfortunately, on the inside the garage is 20'5". Truck won't fit. So knowing that I will be told those are outside dimensions It measured from outside wall and came up with the 21'2". This is the frustrating part of if the sales rep doesn't know for sure when selling a product how do you find out for sure. I took the salesperson at there word that I was going to have 21'2" on the inside of the garage.
I cannot speak highly enough about the Buffington Homes team and the quality of my new home. As a first-time home buyer and a young adult, I never felt pressured or concerned throughout this process. My house is beautiful and spotlessly finished, and I’m so excited to move in. Jennifer and Jason made this a great experience, and I would 100% recommend Buffington Homes to anybody in NWA.
I wish I can offer more stars given my experience with attention to details, amount of pushback I had to go through for small things like alignment on garage door, blinds curtains, fence staining etc.
Overal start to finish process, Dakota and Ron were also really great to work with, nothing was too much trouble.
The process was smooth, the house was delivered on time with high quality outcomes, their orientation to details, customer service and attention to our concerns were outstanding both from the sales representative and the field manager
Buffington has an excellent product, system, and personnel.
great experience, they were easy to work with and do what they say they will do
Very easy to work with
All of the staff we have encountered have been so commented to satisfying our expectations in finding the perfect home!
Great people from the top to bottom!
We have enjoyed working with all Buffington employees and continue to be satisfied with the design and construction decisions.
We had a great experience and are very happy with our new home.
I have no hesitation at all in recommending them, as they have been so good throughout the whole process.
The process was smooth throughout. We had a short timeline between final walkthrough and closing and they tackled everything quickly. Very impressed!
We've had a great experience working with Buffington, and our warranty representative Mike Sevoian and the various Buffington trades.
House was not completed to the standard. Paint was sloppy, final touches sloppy. Unwilling to fix.
I would encourage everyone to have a relator in their corner. Ours was incredibly helpful when the Buffington rep couldn't keep things moving.
Beautiful homes, great construction, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Buffington is a good company that delivers!
The on-site staff were generally helpful; however, there were several concerns from the beginning:
The call center experience was not collaborative and often felt transactional rather than supportive.
Scheduling design studio appointments was consistently difficult and lacked flexibility.
There was a significant lack of transparency regarding community-related aspects. In particular, many homeowners were disappointed to learn about the adjacent chicken farm situation, as this was not clearly communicated during the plot selection and booking process.
Post-purchase quality issues have been observed, including excessive squeaking throughout the home and concerns that the bathtub may not have been installed properly.
More attention to detail on the finish work would save more time throughout the 60 day warranty process
Lovely neighborhood, great location.
Ricky Shade and Dakota Loving are absolutely wonderful to work with!!
We would recommend, but would mention that any design upgrade has a huge markup and will add $30,000 - 100,000+ more to the cost.
Great house; very happy with quality. Only issue we have is the Ozarks Electric box being 1 foot from the driveway that was poured after Ozarks placed it there. Driveway should have been adjusted to accommodate that. I have been parking my truck over on that side and hitting it with my door everytime I open the door out of safety because my guests will hit the box when pulling in or backing out. I don't want to cause major injury or damage or cause a power outage but this should have been addressed before the driveway was poured. I couldn't test this out until after closing due to the wooden temp fence that barricaded the driveway. I reached out and met with Ben who punted to Carl and Carl met with me in person. After some deliberation and a 2nd appeal by me, I was told nope; nothing we are going to do because it's just too complicated of a process. I want a resolution. I am awaiting a decision from AR public service commission for further direction and then will send a letter to Buffington for a final appeal. Please make this right. None of you would want an electric box dangerously located ONE foot from your driveway.
We are very happy with the experience from beginning to end.
