We are setting safety protocols to be able to work safely on jobsites. We are using respirators when we can't maintain 6 foot separation. We are wearing gloves and sanitizing the jobsite. We are working remotely.
Better Builders helped us with a major remodel of our kitchen and one of our bathrooms. We have a 1920s home and wanted to maintain the period details that make our house so special while updating it with some more modern features like an open floor plan. From the start I was impressed with their commitment to our project, their consistent and open communication, and their responsiveness to any questions, thoughts and concerns. Pete has an amazing eye and he has a team of people who really know their stuff and are super friendly. We absolutely love our new kitchen and bath and look forward to working with them again in the future for other remodels.
The people who work for them in the field are great.
Overall a good experience. Communication was generally good and the end product was beautiful. Our complaint has to do with the financials. Namely an unexpected change order bill that was not well communicated. Changes were offered without an explanation of what the cost increases would be. The costs were higher than anticipated
On time, on budget, extremely responsive to issues, completed project looks great, and everything still working long after they packed up (neatly) and left. That's pretty much all I want in a builder. Sure, we had some glitches and a misunderstanding or two but each time the problem was promptly addressed. They are definitely more expensive than other builders but we knew that going in.
I'm likely to recommend Better Builders, and indeed have done so, but with the caveat that my projects have generally not been finished on time.
Better Builders is a conscientious general contractor that takes all necessary measures to make your home even more special. Their team is friendly and easy to work with and as issues come up they are diligent at resolving them quickly and efficiently.

I never felt like I was asking stupid questions and if I wanted to take on some work personality it was really easy to work with them to balance their schedule with mine. Really great working with the people. Fred, amount others on the crew, was also a pleasure to talk too every week. I felt very informed at a very granular level from these conversations.

I chose Better Builders because I was able to speak to someone immediately and they directed me to the appropriate person. Bill was courteous and very, very helpful.
