The windows must be a little smaller than the window aperture. There is no reason for the windows to be more than .5 inch smaller. I did not see all the windows as they were installed, but the ones I did see appeared to be 1 inch or more smaller. That required huge amounts of caulk to close the gap. Caulk does not stop the cold air like the window frame would, so someone attempted to fill the gap from the outside with foam. The installer used so much caulk he covered the screw holes for the blinds. I reported that to Lucille, but there was no follow up. Most of the windows are only slightly drafty but the bathroom window allows a very noticeable strong cold draft. I did not report it during the winter because I do not know what could be done except a do-over.
Customer service is very bad:
The windows were installed September 2025. It took 6 months and multiple phone calls before I received a refund for a wrong size screen. Everyone I talked to was very pleasant, but nothing was done until I talked to a man in warranty whose name I don't remember(Anthony?) who promptly obtained the refund.
I asked to change the screen size of another window and that took 8 months to achieve even though I offered to not get a refund for the size difference. Again, everyone was very pleasant but nothing was done until I talked to Jenny again in March 2026.She went out of her way to find out what had happened to the screen that had been made and delivered to your company.
The factory had again made the wrong size screen and the installer put it in the warehouse apparently without telling anyone.
Please give Jenny my thanks and appreciation and a bonus for getting the right size screen made and installed by someone!

The salesman was so kind about explaining the differences. They were kind when they came out. It was complicated with two doors being put in. They did everything as they said they would. It looks marvelous.
