We had 3 projects completed by Valentine. 1. New roof install 2. New gutter install 3. Insulation removal and install. 1. Our roof project had some poor craftsmanship for the price paid. Some of our fascia boards do not align and there is a large sag in the front of our house. These things could have been avoided by some simple trimming/planing of the wood. The flashing around our chimney was not done correctly and we had to argue to have it completed by someone else the correct way. We have an aluminum awning over our back deck and they chose to drill large screws directly though the awning when attaching a metal drip edge. I see light in our attic when the roof meets the sidewall of our house and was told these were vents, but they are not where vents were installed so I am worried about bugs in our attic as I'm unsure how to seal these gaps. 2. Our gutters look great and were installed quickly. I only wish I had had time to paint our new fascia board before the gutter install because it's proven much more difficult to paint around the gutters. 3. Insulation removal and install went well and would recommend. Overall all I feel we were charged a little much for the craftsmanship provided. Initially our insulation install was scheduled as the same time as our roof install which thankfully we rescheduled because of the mess the old cedar shake created when it was removed. We would have had alot of debris in our new insulation if they would have been completed at the same time. We opted to have our insulation installed after the roofing project was complete.

I am satisfied overall with Valentine's services for the re-roofing, insulation, and gutter replacement projects and would recommend that friends at least get an estimate from Valentine. The estimator (Eric Moore) was particularly helpful in evaluating the work that needed to be done and communicating with me. He was also the only estimator who actually went into my attic to inspect it.

Everyone had a job to do, from the estimator to the clean up crew and they did it very friendly and professionally.

I was nervous about the whole process including the choice of shingles, the noise, the mess, the expense, the weather and the schedule (which was mandated by my homeowner's insurance company). All of my choices, issues and questions were promptly delt with in a courteous, friendly and knowledgeable manner throughout the whole process. I was away for part of the work and came home to a very clean jobsite and a handsome new roof. Thank you everyone at Valentine! You all turned a big hassle into a lot of pleasant memories.

The customer service, communication, and responsiveness was excellent, the install team was pleasant, hard working, professional, and kept us informed,, and their materials staging and cleanup was thorough and careful during the project and after completion. We especially appreciated that the install team suggested some minor changes to the scope of work that became apparent once they got into the project to provide the best attic ventilation for our situation.

I've used Valentine Roofing twice, once for a remodel and once to repair a new roof due to a tree falling on it. The first experience was great; the second was more challenging.

No, I think the there are several reasons I would not recommend. While there were good things about the experience there were also very frustrating things and I did not ask enough questions...such as the plywood only being 1/4 inch, not 1/2 inch...I am just praying it holds up.

Valentine Roofing was very communicative. They updated me every single day, even on weekends. The foreman communicated with me if there was a rain delay or anything by 8:00 in the morning. The communication was great.

They are not the cheapest but you get what you're paying for: quality product, installation, warranty, and service.

Inspection for the quote was very impressive, and the onsite crew was pleasant to work with. Communication from the office was timely and Valentine even came back to correct a gutter issue after the job was completed!
