In 1957 Fred Lauten proudly founded Total Air & Heat Co. to provide top-quality air conditioning and heating service to local homes and businesses. The company is a rapidly growing multimillion dollar business.
In 1999 Fred retired, and his son Steve has taken this family-owned company into the new millennium with style.
Today, Total Air & Heat employs 25 professionals and maintains a fleet of 15 vehicles to serve its family of customers.
Total Air & Heat employs highly skilled technicians, who have attended trade schools to learn “Proper” installation and repair techniques. In addition, the technicians are required to attend a minimum of two manufacturers’ training schools each year, thus keeping their skills on the leading edge of technology.
The sales staff also has extensive experience in HVAC and Geothermal technology. They are trained to present you with all viable “air comfort” options available. Hide

Total Air and Heat serviced my old HVAC unit for a couple of years, making sure it was running properly and safe even though it was quite old. I always found their service people friendly and knowledgeable. During routine maintenance service in the fall of 2020, they detected a COx leak in the equipment and a cracked part in the 29 year old system, which I had been considering replacing. Within an hour, a sales person was there to walk me through the choices of units and what I needed for my square footage. I amde my choice and within days had a new, great system, which I enjoyed very much for the next 8 months before I sold the house. Total Air and Heat has always done what they said they would do and provided quality, dependable service within a reasonable price range, and I would recommend them to anyone. I left all their information and a high recommendation of Total Air and Heat with the new owners of my house.
