Very few people rise in the morning and proclaim “I’m going to become a business owner today”. Although it didn’t happen overnight, one day I did proclaim it! Why? Because I knew it could be done…Better. Simpler. Kinder. Gentler.
You see, in the 80’s I fell in love with the largest, family-owned remodeling company in Omaha, Nebraska, and began selling siding and windows for them. Back then, it was about high-pressure sales as impersonal telemarketers set appointments and we would deliver long, drawn-out presentations where homeowners would say yes just to get us out of their house! Then those contracts were followed up with sub-contractors doing fly-by-night work. Not the way to do business, and there’s no greater motivator than embarrassment, frustration, and disappointment.
When you know a business can be done differently…exceptionally better…it’s difficult for a high-accountability person to sit back and do nothing about it. So, when I started Residential Renovations in 2008, I was determined our business would be the best in our area. Our name was going to mean something. I never want to walk down the street, run into a customer, and not be thoroughly proud of the work we performed.
What my life experiences taught me was people do not want to be sold to. And I listened. They want to be presented with their options, know the facts, get their questions answered, and be confident they are making an informed decision about their home improvement.
So how do we accomplish this? By un-complicating, the process with our focus being on you, the customer…your needs…your extreme satisfaction, as nothing else matters. This customer focus permeates through our communication and attention to detail, yet our process…is SIMPLE:

We know you have choices for your residential remodeling projects. Our goal is to offer you the BEST possible experience. You can expect us to show up on time, offer short presentations, clearly explain your investment, and when you honor us with your business, you will have roofing, siding, or windows in about a week or two. It’s as simple as that.

The roof over the family room had extensive water damage from the old skylights. The quote for the repair was received in a timely manner even though a supplier had to be located to costume build the skylights. The water damage from the old skylights was more extensive than anticipated. Additional roofing boards were installed at no additional cost. The new shingles were nicely blended into the old shingles. The work was completed in a timely fashion, but not rushed. I was completely satisfied with the materials, workmanship and service. I would recommend Residential Renovations to anyone requiring repairs to a current roof or needing a new roof. Ed F.

I'm still waiting for someone form the window company to come and fix the big window on the front of the house. Also, for a name of someone to do the drywall finish work on the inside of the bedroom window we had made smaller. Both of these issues were pointed out to Dennis that did the work.

We signed a sales agreement for a top-of-the-line product (Prodigy) and were willing to pay for that product. Residential Renovations ordered the wrong product, had it delivered and started the job with that product. Fortunately, we noticed their mistake before the product was installed. We were given the option of waiting another four months for Prodigy or accepting the lower quality Monogram product. We chose the Monogram rather than having our house sit for another four months. Residential's mistake cost us what we were promised. We were pleased with the installation and the looks of the Monogram siding, but we would not recommend Residential to other customers based on their initial failure.
