I was very happy with the design and the outcome, but I wasn't happy with the process.
Response time could be faster.
The quality of work was good, albeit very expensive, but it took forever to complete the work primarily because they only had one carpenter available to do all the work. The work started quickly with two people but one person quit and was never replaced. The subcontractors were wonderful: quality work, fast, efficient and they did high quality work. The design process was good and professional. From start to finish our renovation took 8-9 months
excellent staff and workers
In general there is good communication about each part of a project that might involve different rooms and different needs. Photos or diagrams, type and colors, were generally provided. The project consultant and the project manager were well involved and gave regular updates. The subcontractors were pleasant, on time, and very competent. I'm a person who does not provide coffee and donuts for workers. Instead, I give daily tips to each person. If a day was shorter, or more or less hard, I adjusted accordingly. But I believe they work very hard and can use tips to buy what they want!
The work was done in time as promised, upon inspection, they corrected a problem, with no bother to us.
Rapid, efficient, kind, engaging workers
I am highly likely to recommend Neil Kelly-Seattle. Our project involved a pull-and-replace kitchen remodel with some additional wall modifications. The design team did an excellent job using our "idea book" to help curate a materials list and collaborate with us to define the overall look and feel of the space.
I cannot give them five stars because the kitchen cabinet refinish project did not meet our expectation. The floor refinish and the shower tile refinish were great.
I am not sure, as some of the reasons I chose to use Neil Kelly-Portland did not quite work as I had hoped. I do not wish to share this evaluation. I have filled out this form because someone from your company has called me several times.
Not disappointed! It's just that most of my friends aren't in a financial position to hire you!
Yes, absolutely. The team delivered what was promised and contractually agreed to.
Craftmanship was high, the construction process was painful.
Having Jonne Vandehey working with me again on my project. Everyone I dealt with was most positive and helpful. Please how everything turned out.
I already have recommended them to other people
Good communication.
Very professional from start to finish. Laid out various options, discussed all in depth. Actual construction was not disruptive, and they took care of the house while doing it.
Very likely. The management of this project has been excellent. Strongly agree -
Working with Fabian Genovesi and John Jones was a pleasure. They are knowledgeable, responsive and helpful.
Neil Kelly has been a great partner in a series of projects to maintain and rejuvenate our 1908 cottage, from big (full solar, new foundation) to small (adding a second pane to stained glass windows for better insulation). For this phase, David did a excellent job replacing the worn front porch with gorgeous period-correct stained wood and updating the small side crawlspace entrance roof with a much more functional metal roof. For both, David's care and attention to detail were very visible and appreciated. As always, Neil Kelly's workers and staff are a pleasure to work with.
Very professional in all aspects of the project
Responsive. High-quality work. Full service.
In fact, I already have to several of my new neighbors.
I would recommend Neil Kelly-Eugene/Springfield but with caveats. We ultimately love our new space but there were some issues with communication and quality control.
NK has done a wonderful job with my 1901 house! I would (and have) recommended them to anyone who wants something a bit more creative, thoughtful & fun! My only negative is I have run out of projects for them...
