I found Ashton Woods Homes very easy to work with. The home is a very solidly built home.

The after sale and warranty portion is horrible with Ashton Woods Homes (Charleston). They have a person they know they have issues with, and there is no follow up. We have to log it and have no visibility to see the status, it is a horrendous experience.

Some exhaust fans are not operating. The garage is not completed, and there are gaps at the bottom of the walls. None of the windows have screens, so I can't open my windows because bugs will come in. My HVAC system needs replacing. The fire alarms are chirping, meaning there are no batteries, and the ceilings are too high for me to do that. The person I was in contact with stopped responding to my text messages and emails. That person is not willing to assist me. I have been unsuccessful in getting someone to resolve these issues.

Ashton Woods Homes provides good quality and a beautiful home.

I recommend this builder for anyone planning a new build. They delivered high-quality workmanship, stayed on schedule, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. The result was a well-built, beautifully finished home that exceeded our expectations. Their expertise and commitment made the new build experience smooth and enjoyable.

The overall quality has been pretty good.

Space utilization by Ashton Woods is quite limited. In our previous home, the same overall square footage, the rooms were larger and the construction was much better. With Ashton Woods within the first year, we have had many warranty calls. The rooms of the Ashton Woods homes are much smaller and the homes are much higher priced.

The homes are pretty. I like the different design options to choose from.

I liked the long list of options, and the pricing of the model & options. I didn't feel like I was being price gouged for upgrading.

Joao was extremely rude and difficult to work with.

We found everything they did was handled very well and timely. We are very pleased with the process.

The home is gorgeous and they’ve stood behind the warranty Ben has been very responsive and proactive for us.

The whole process was a disappointment. From the in initial blue tape walk thru spending 2 hours walking thru marking things that needed to be fixed to coming back later that day finding all my blue tape tore off. Trying to get things fixed has been a nightmare.

They don't have good options.

Ashton Woods Homes could provide better finishes within the homes they offer. When we started to paint the house we found that the wall was texturized, there were holes, and in some areas they did not sand down everything.

I built a home with Ashton woods and was impressed by their professionalism and thee quality of the build. I would go onsite frequently and meet with their reps. They would always show me what the progress was and answer my questions.

As first-time home builders, we couldn’t have asked for a better team than Jessica, Jared, and Chris from Ashton Woods. From the very beginning, they made the entire process smooth, transparent, and enjoyable.

Jessica was an excellent coordinator—consistently communicative, organized, and always quick to respond to our questions. She kept us informed throughout the entire journey, making sure we felt confident and in the loop.

Jared and Chris were instrumental during the construction phase. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and willingness to walk us through each step made a world of difference. They took the time to explain what was happening and why, addressed any concerns we had promptly, and ensured the build met the highest standards.

What could have been a stressful experience turned into an exciting and memorable one, thanks to their professionalism and dedication. We are absolutely thrilled with our new home and highly recommend Ashton Woods—especially Jessica, Jared, and Chris.

The failures in the overall development of this neighborhood make it apparent that AW only cared about selling lots and not about making a quality neighborhood for the residents. HOA having no accommodations, insane contracts for landscaping, poor drainage, several lots next to our homes (2 by mine) that were left empty and undeveloped completely which are just weeds and snakes. Putting us in a position where our HOA could increase based on proximity to the commercial property is also insane.

I will recommend Ashton Woods as I have received a good home at a very good price and interest rate. Eric Land and Mike Riley are very helpful and supportive.

While I went with a “quick move in” and didn’t get to actually pick and of the designs or layout, Jeff in the sales off and Allen on the home/building side made the process with AW smooth and easy and always took the time to answer all questions I had buying my first home.

All staff members were professional, knowledgeable, and attentive.
