We had the My Door Co. team build a fully custom 'vintage style' wood door for our 1949 brick bungalow in Park Hill, replacing the original (which was in rough condition and would stick so that it couldn't be opened, and let snow blow in underneath it each winter!).

I had some design ideas that I shared when meeting with Chris for the initial consult (based on a 1930s door from the UK I'd seen), and he walked me through all of our options when it came to wood type, glass types, stain, etc. He was extremely knowledgeable, as well as being thorough and responsive, so they were very easy to work with. We signed a contract in March after reviewing the initial drawing, and paid a deposit, with an estimated install timeframe of around late September (they are busy and booked out, and for good reason!).

September rolled around: Chris coordinated the install seamlessly, and the team that came to install the door were fast, friendly, and very detail-oriented. They are true craftsmen, and were exceptionally tidy - you couldn't even tell anyone had been there after they were done working! They also removed our old door and heavy storm door and hauled them away for us.

The door itself is truly a work of art - it is constructed of sturdy, quarter-sawn white oak (stained in 'special walnut') with thick panes of seedy/seeded glass that give it a vintage look. It completely changes the curb appeal and feel of our old house, and I am absolutely delighted with it. I am an admitted perfectionist with very high standards, and I was completely blown away by the craftsmanship and quality of work. The new door opens, closes, and latches perfectly, and blocks so much more outdoor noise than our old door: our living room is noticeably quieter now as a result.

We couldn’t be more satisfied with our experience with My Door Company. Chris was responsive and knowledgeable. The time frame predicted (started the process in January and estimated completion and install in June. Install completed in August) was inaccurate but we were told in advance and why the delay was occurring. The door is gorgeous. Install was easy and much faster than anticipated.

They are high quality with great service, I absolutely recommend.
