They are very good about keeping you informed of what is going on. They show up on the day they are scheduled. They get the work done as soon as they can , the work is done with responsibility and very good work.

It took almost 2 years from start to finish for the project to get done. And their windows aren't registered with the irs for the energy efficient program

screens on the widows do not fit tight . Screen on patio door does not open far enough to allow for it pass past patio door handle. Patio door opens and your hand is allowed to be pinched between the door and screen.

We signed a contract to install 14 windows with this company in July 2024.
Windows installation was completed March 27, 2026 a long, frustrating 20 month wait for a job that was originally estimated to be done by December 2024.
Delays included 97 days of no response from YHIC staff to building department for permit questions, miss-measurement of window openings requiring reordering of windows (twice) and installation of plain glass where tempered glass was required.
Problem mainly seems to be with the parent company headquartered in Minnesota. Their window supplier is SLOW to fill orders and when YHIC permitting staff are unavailable, other staff do not cover for them leaving the customer in the lurch.
While company employees I've dealt with have all been pleasant and professional , they still did not manage to provide results in a timely manner and many are very poor at returning calls or responding to texts. Many of the employees in the home office tried to help, but had no ability to actually getting the project moving.
The local Billings project manager seems to most often deal with questions about delays by blaming others (city permitting department, etc.)

We just had new windows installed. The installers did a great job considering the windows were not the right size...they were too small but they made it right.

I liked the finishing options

Communication failures between upper management and the carpenter were frustrating for me as well as him.

Original order of windows was incomplete. Took months for them to finally finish. Cant get them to do warrant work. Windows have a recall that I am not even aloud to open them and nobody will come to fix it. Within a year one of the windows has lost its seal and gets ice build up on the inside and again can’t get anyone to even call me back. I’ve called and complained many times but again nobody in my area will call me back. Worst $50,000 I’ve ever spent. Should have went with someone else.

I’ve been left with a hole in my wall and a hole in my floor. Improperly installed shower door that leaks water all over my floor and makes a loud creaking noise when I close it. Shower door doesn’t always stay closed. Installers made me give them a 5 star rating without checking out the “finished” shower install and wouldn’t leave until I gave them a 5 star rating so they could get thier “bonus”. Shower drain wasn’t hooked up correctly and leaked water into my basement and local plumbers had to be called to fix the shower drain. It’s been months and I’m making payments on a $23,000.00 loan for a job that could have been done by professionals locally for half the price. Still waiting for situation to be made right.

The communication with clients needs improvement. No updates on projects and responses are late or never to inquiries.

In every way possible. Every aspect of this instal was done wrong and very late — at this point 3 months late and the original install looked nothing like what I designed, it was cheap, shoddy and not even complete. The people at You Home Improvement Co. tried to get me to accept a cheap and incomplete install I was charged 25k for. It is not simply the worst construction company I ever encountered, it is the worst company of any kind. I have spent time in Mexico often and also Communist countries and former Communist countries and even they were much, much better. When I sell my house I plan to sue them. For 5 months I have been paying 2 mortgages because I trusted this would be complete at the latest by mid August and it’s November 17th and it’s still not done! This is a business that should be forced to close for fraud.

Horrible service. It took over two years to complete the project and I had to contact the company multiple times for updates.

Other than the installation date being changed, they did a great job.

I would not recommend you to anyone. My project is still not finished, after paying for this on 12/28/2024.

Project was 2 months late to start and when after they tore up our bathroom it took them 2 months to finish! When they did finish the plumber they hired did not seal the drain properly so our 1st floor flooded!
