It was a mostly good experience with a few hiccups, and it was a little lengthy in time.

Just the quality of the craftsmanship isn’t very impressive. Lots of mistakes which are going to take a lot longer to fix down the road. Things that shouldn’t have been an issue from the beginning. There are an expected number of punch list items but at this rate the house will be done twice.

Tilson Homes takes pride in their craftsmanship.

We signed our contract 7 months ago and the foundation still has not been poured. Our county does not require any building permits so that was not an issue. From the beginning we were not given a step by step process of exactly what we/owners needed to do and a timeline - such as Tilson needed our bank's release of lien, when to have electrical installed, water meter installed, when to get septic permit, when to build the dirt pad. After our stakeout meeting, we did not have any communication with Tilson for approximately 6 weeks. We made revisions to the initial drawings (added more electrical outlets, couple of other minor items, nothing major), and 6 weeks later, nothing had moved forward.

The time it takes before they start is extremely long and irritating. I waited like 6/7 months now and still have not started building yet. It's ridiculously long

We worked with Sydney Palmy at the Spring location, and she was phenomenal. She was exceptional in delivering customer service and made sure we understood the process of getting ready to build with them.

Julie Hersey is an outstanding person, who listened to our needs and was knowledgeable about things that would or might not work. She never guessed at anything, she would call someone to be certain.

They have been very helpful in figuring out the home-building process for a first-time homebuilder and everything with the permits. The communication and updates have been really good.

The sales and design process went well and the building process has been great so far! The independent inspector we had come out pre-drywall spoke highly of the quality of materials and work.

They were very pleasant, organized, and informative.

Friendly people, especially john Little, and all willing to help when one or the other was out of the office.

The whole experience has been smooth with a clear process. The builder and crew are amazing too, they're working really fast. I can't wait to move to our new house soon!
