Not going to happen

From the time we placed the original order, it took approximately two months before anything happened. Then, once it was scheduled, it was rescheduled due to a shortage of pavers. So, it took a long time for the actual work to start, which I don't think is acceptable.

When the project manager came, I expressed my concerns about the work, and they agreed that it was not up to their usual standards. This week, we were supposed to have the pavers come back and correct the problem, but due to circumstances beyond our control, it couldn't be done. We may be able to do it tomorrow, but I'm not sure yet.

I didn't receive good customer service after I completed the design and started the project. It took a long time.

I would absolutely recommend this company projects are tough lots of moving pieces but System Pavers and the Project Manager made it seamless, and the times it wasn’t the fact that there was a solution already in play made it that much better. The quality and the beautiful aesthetic brought to my front yard is absolutely one of my favorite spots looking forward to more projects in the future.

I am happy with the finished product but the journey was not as expected. The project manager was fired in the middle of the project. Numerous delays caused this project to drag on. Existing irrigation lines were removed when I was told they could stay, then I was told they would reinstall them, but that never happened. Two sleeves were designated to be installed under the pavers but one of them was not installed as designated. There was a misunderstanding that I take responsibility for, but I think that could have been avoided if a 3D image was used to communicate the installation to me. I understand that a 3D image is a tool System Pavers has. At the end of the project the project manager stopped by to look at the job, however I was never told that he was coming so we never had time to review the job together.

We couldn't be happier with our backyard remodel. From start to finish our job was handled with care by every member of System Pavers. Our sales person, Tom, was honest and knowledgeable without being pushy (which we appreciated as we got several quotes). Jose, our on site manager, was present, communicative, honest and quick to respond with questions or concerns. Every member of the crews who worked on our home was hard working, kind and considerate of our daily lives. These guys worked SO hard and it was SO hot. HIGHLY recommend System Pavers. We will be using them again to redo our front yard when the time comes.

Our project looks great! Jeremy and Sam helped the project get done very quickly and efficiently. The entire team did a professional job and we are very happy with the results.

System Pavers was so fantastic to work with from the beginning consultation with Christopher, the pre-project start walkthrough with Nestor, the entire installation team with the installation team, and after. Everyone had a very high attention to detail, communicated clearly, and was extremely respectful and easy to work with.

The Quality of most recent work is by far the worst.

When we started, there was some miscommunication. We spoke on Friday, I was expecting the name of the contractor or for them to send a text. On Friday, he said we don't do a walk-through on a Saturday, and I said, why didn't you tell me when I was expecting a text? I was so frustrated about that.

It was easy, I found out about System pavers at the O.C. fair. They sent their representative Jason Kim out to talk with me and show me examples, we ended up signing a contract that day. They said they could provided financing but I had my own. After some samples were dropped at the house and looking at pictures I decided on a patteren and type of stones to be used. I met with Nestor the lead project coordinator. Within a few weeks I was schedueled for the project! A few days later they came and in one day took my drive way out! The next two days they installed the new driveway and side walk! Awesome job! Awesome work! Spectatcular service in all areas! We are very pleased!

Workers need to be neater when cutting pavers as dust was everywhere. They cut where it was convenient not where it would contain the most dust.

The overall end result was good, but we paid a premium price expecting premium customer service and craftsmanship which we did not receive. Would recommend a friend to shop around for better options.

JAIME, the Design Consultant, accurately measured the square footage in our backyard where the pavers were to be installed. He thoroughly explained the installation process and the choices of pavers from two paver manufacturers, showing us the thumb nail photos from the manufacturers' catalogs. (We choose a paver color made by the Belgard paver manufacturing company.) We had many additional questions that came to our minds after Jaime left, and he responded promptly, clearly, and in detail to the questions that we emailed to him. He was easy going, polite and professional, and a pleasure to work with.

OCTAVIO, the Project Manager, was always available to us. He accompanied the Design Consultant not long before the installation began to make final measurements and lay out string lines to set the slope in order for water to go towards our backyard drain. It seems that the slope from one key spot in the finished work is correct -- a test with water from that spot resulted in the water running down the slope slowly towards, and right into, the drain. (But we will have to wait until we have our first good rain sometime in the future to be sure that the slope is correct in all aspects, since the pavers had to be sloped in 4 or 5 different locations.) During the days prior to the start date of the project, Octavio got back to us on a timely basis when we texted him on several occasions with some questions and concerns. He arranged for a porta potty for the work crew, and the porta potty arrived a number of days before the installation work began. He visited the job site every day for a short period of time each morning to ensure the installation was going well and to make sure the work crew was doing the job properly (the installation took four full days), and to address some questions we had -- he patiently answered those questions. And he always notified us that he was on the way to work site, and he gave us an estimated time of arrival. He arranged for the delivery of the rock base, geotextile fabric, and polymeric sand, all of which arrived on time to keep the job moving along. In short, he did an excellent job coordinating many facets of the job. He was patient and professional, and easy to work with.

JOSE, the Chief of the work crew was on site briefly on Day 1on of the installation, and later in the week for half a day, during which he pitched in to help with the paver installation.

The work crew consisted of two men, TONY and CHAEL (spelling of name?). Tony was the more experienced of the two, but both of these men worked VERY hard and took great care to do a professional job -- which they did. Tony was especially adept at using a special saw to cut numerous pavers into special shapes to fit around the semicircular border of our backyard drain. Chael, the less experienced, did an excellent job working with Tony as they both placed the pavers in the pattern designed by the Belgard paver manufacturing company. Tony was always checking slopes with his level to make sure water would run away from the side of the house and towards the drain. Tony was the lead person on this crew, and he answered some questions we had along the way. (I have a habit of asking questions because I like to understand how things work.) After the installation was complete, they cleaned up the area thoroughly. Tony and Chael were very nice, and we were impressed with how hard and diligently they worked.

They were responsive. They took care of everything. I will use them again. My experience was great.

Because we had a poor experience with the design guy, I would not recommend him to my friends and family. If you had someone else, maybe, The install crew was the best.

I would recommend because the materials and installation work were top flight. I would caution that careful attention to the front end (reviewing and signing the contract and responsibilities for permitting) be clearly understood by the prospective buyer.

The work and the precision were just stellar. They had to do a lot of building up of a wall from a slope, and there was a lot of precision and accuracy and thought that went into making sure it was stable and making sure that it was going to work. They really mapped it out. I was kind of amazed because Alan was the designer that came out, and the design was similar, but yet it changes when you really start going through that process just because of the landscape. These guys did a really good job. They just made sure that it was going to work.

Consistent contact, everyone was professional; the installer was very knowledgeable and knew what worked and what did not. And the warranty on the work was a plus! Overall, this was a great experience with a satisfactory outcome!

From our first meeting with Heather Barnette, until the last day when we said goodbye to Frank, we were happy with everything that went on to create our lovely patios (one large, one small). The pavers were assembled exactly as we asked. The crew was friendly, and dedicated to getting the job done. We were amazed that they completed the job in one day! And we're thrilled with the results. Wow!

I would definitely recommend

While the project was a little slow getting started, once everything came together it went off like clockwork. The workmanship was excellent and the crew was cognizant of our property taking pains to ensure they left no foot print, only the retaining wall and paver patio.

Responsive

They did an excellent job and provided a good design alternative for me. They did a very good job making the cuts on the pavers so they fit the area that we wanted. They had very good coordination. The only thing was we wanted additional pavers brought over to us to fit in case something breaks. I would like to continue to have that and I will call them to have that done. They are excellent and I would highly recommend them.

Once the installation got started, it took four months to complete a ten day project.

Malik was great to work with and monitored the project . He was courteous and stayed in touch consistently.

Very poor communication, too many changes in staffing. I had to call the head office in California to get any movement on my project . Once project was started after almost over 1year it was completed and it did meet our requirements but getting to that point was to much of a hassle and I would never want to repeat it again or even have anyone I know go through what we went through

Very poor communications from all levels of the organization. They were unresponsive to numerous inquiries as the start date continued to extend. Materials were delivered to the job site without the project manager being aware of the delivery. How does that happen? I am pleased with the outcome of the project, but that’s more to the subcontractor’s performance than System Pavers’ performance. On the final walkthrough a small change was requested and agreed to. It’s been 2 months and it still hasn’t been done and we’re back into the black hole of their non-communication

It was 5 stars, but a port-a-potty was ordered twice to my house by accident. The first time, wasn’t bad because it came the day after the work was finished. However, weeks after the job was done, another one was ordered to my house. I had to have it sitting in the front of my house for 3 days over the weekend.

We are very happy with our project. It was definitely not the most inexpensive but our paver patio looks beautiful. The turf looks good but the turf itself a two lines that are lighter in color.
