While the sales effort was clear and stated from the beginning, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There is no timely flow for resolutions for installation and warranty claims.
They were very thorough in explaining the process and answering questions.
I am saving money all around, and it has benefited me all around with taxes and money on the energy bill.
I have been very satisfied with the process. It went without hitch. It took some time to get going because of permits. Everyone from the salesperson, to the engineers, to the installers, were very professional and I have been very satisfied with the process and the product.
The installation team did a great job. Our salesperson was pretty thorough, but we were surprised that I just heard from him recently, and we've had the solar panels for a couple years now. There were no calls saying it's been a year. How's it going? Or do you have any questions? It was only now that he reached out and said, "Do you want to buy a battery backup?" That was the only thing that was disappointing. I would have expected that I would have heard from them. Once they get the check and once everything's installed, there still should be a follow-up.
The sales representative that I had promised to get my install done by the end of the year and it wasn't done as presented...he kept claiming stuff on the county but I told him at the beginning to expect delays, but the representative acted like he knew better than me. The delay caused us to miss the federal tax credit till the next hear and financing that wasn't planned. They also had a few items to redo after inspection. They also changed the inverter from the bid without telling me. I told representative after I learned it AFTER it was installed and the representative acted like I was wrong. The application with this inverter didn't have all the features the other inverter had so I had to pay extra for an additional monitoring system to get it to work as I was originally told it would work.
We were very happy with the help and support we received on the few occasions when we needed it.
As you’re probably aware, we had the solar panel put in approximately five years ago.
Please note that we have sold the house and no longer live there so you probably should remove us from your mailing list of owners. We’ve downsized, sold their house and moved into an apartment building.
Overall, they are a good team to work with. They get the job done.
The installation was good. It was good equipment. The communication later declined when service was needed. I was sold on the idea that there were ongoing tax benefits. I have repeatedly called them. I still haven't received anything. I am not pleased with that.
Initially, I was very happy. However, as time has passed, my system is not performing well at all. I am not saving on energy. The staff is wonderful and any time I have had an issue with my Solar they come right away to fix it. I dont know how they are going to fix the issue of performance of the entire system. Even on bright sunny days, it is underperforming, leaving me monthly with higher and higher electric bills. That is not what i signed up for.
Price and quality of the work was not as good as my other provider
Pete Barnes was very knowledgeable on system costs and the different options to proceed financially plus length of time to recoup costs.
i had a very pleasant experience especially with my sales rep Jacques Frink
I used Solar Energy World out of Maryland that handled VA also
We consulted with three different companies about our installation and we are so glad we went with Solar Energy World
I needed a new roof and asked to have panels removed and put back on. I’ve had to wait almost 3 months to have panels reinstalled. Unthinkable
System has been working as expected.
Efficient communication and on time promised scheduled job completion.
I haven't had any issues since the past years that we switched to solar services
The process was very smooth and the installation, despite a few communication issues was good. They are a bit slow when service is needed.
Financing explained correctly the tax credit did not work how they explained
D
I would recommend Solar Energy World in some cases but not all cases.
Everyone was very professional and quick to respond to my questions.
The sales and installation process proceeded exactly as described and very smoothly. Nearly 3 years after the panels went online, they are producing electricity according to specifications resulting in no electrical bill payments for most months of the year.
Everything was explained nicely to me. It looked beautiful on my house. It has definitely helped me save money on my electricity bill.
No way!!! First the salesman said my peach tree had to be dug up but he would resign and replant it. This did not happen. He brought his son and it was too hot and too humid that they couldn’t complete the job. They told my husband they would come back and plant the tree. This never happened! The peach tree was put into a metal trough and died because it was never replanted.
Installation and setup was efficient and thorough.
I am very unlikely to recommend So;ar Energy World - Mayland to a friend
Overall very happy with Solar Energy World quality and service, and with our solar setup generally.
The whole process went well
They are a very professional company, clear in what they could do and how they worked with the power company. Very responsive to any needs regarding service and questions I have about the system. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I was disappointed in Solar Energy World's follow-through and their lack of a maintenance package. I had a couple of other issues, and it was hard to find a point of contact when I had a problem.
We were promised a 9-year payoff, but with the current we are in, we are estimated at 6 and 1/2 years with our savings. It'll totally pay for itself in 6 and 1/2 years.
There wasn't sufficient communication.
Solar Energy World has fast and efficient service and expert construction and, overall, did an excellent job.
We got very little help, and the installation went fine, but the service is not as great. I had problems getting hold of people. It's also expensive getting somebody here to look at something when I had problems.
I think they are pretty fast responders and did good-quality work, and the cost is reasonable compared to others.
this is a customer driven company. they will do what is needed to give the best product and service avalable!
I had a couple of issues. They disconnected a circuit in the attic and never reconnected it. We did not immediately know it. It cost me some money to get it fixed.
The only thing I was not satisfied with was the denial of my request to have the conduit painted the same color as my siding.
Winter is like a regular electric bill without solar panels. Really not saving anything.
Very smooth process. SEW handled everything promptly and efficiently.
I am very likely to recomend. The company did a very good job for us.
An inadequate system was built for my house causing my bills to not decrease as expected.
Yhe whole process was executed proofessionally fro arriving at the designated time, alloting adequate time for teaching the process, willingly answered/reanswered my questioins--my "I don't underdstand" and there was no coercion. Also how the installations were not a grab but a process eithin State and
Federawl regulation.
They were trust worthy and honest
I’m not saving money in the winter. It’s higher because the electricity that keeps the solar up is coming from Pepco.
Service when there was a problem with my Enphase system
We liked that a representative came to visit us in our home (Larkin) and answered our questions about starting solar.
