Everyone we dealt with at Smith Roofing was very courteous and professional.

Smith roofing did a great job.

There were some things I was sold and I'm not sure the salesperson was entirely honest, especially when it came to acknowledging the crew being employees and not subs. Also the dumpster was in my driveway longer than expected. There were nails left all over the yard, and one NIGHT I had the gutter crew come and work well past dark. So far no problem with anything installed, but I was not blown away by the execution of the installation. The fix of the roof where the chimney was taken down looks janky at best. No mitre cuts, just rough edges. Job felt hurried at times and disorganized. As for workmanship, not blown away or disappointed, just 16k in the hole financially and will hope there are no issues in the future.

Very clear on expectations and did what they said they were going to do. No unexpected surprises and or cost.

Communication with the project managers for the different projects we had done was really good.

The gentleman (Jordan, I believe) that came for the initial interview was VERY nice, appeared very thorough in his investigation, excellent at explaining and answering our questions. The gentleman (James, I believe) over the installation crew, was on time, & very pleasant. My issues, I guess they can be called, are: (1) there were nails all over the place: yard, driveway, patio, and deck. Kids could have been hurt. Tires could have gotten sharp items in the. (2) pieces of roofing material in gutters came down in gutter spouts during rain/storms. With the big dumpster that was delivered and the tarps around, I didn't expect. (3) Most every person was in a seperate vehicle. Vehicles were on both sides of the street. I did hear them being asked to just park on one side. (4) Roof had at least o1 or 2 places where the shingles didn't seem very professionally done. Couple of places on back don't seem very professionally done. But didn't see until after they were gone. (5) Asked for black, didn't get black. Given a mixture of black & dark gray or something. Was told it may be because black gets hotter and fades more quickly, etc. (6) place(s) on deck where they had ladder & and at least one other place the sealant and covering had been scratched visibly noticeable in 2 at least spots.

First inspector was very honest and knowledgeable.

Thomas was our first point of contact and was so great to work through the consultation and provide a quote to us. Sam oversaw the siding and windows on the house and he was great with communication and staying on top of everything.

The representative was professional and clearly explained the differences between the products they offered. Davis Rhea was also knowledgeable about other products that Smith Roofing did not provide. He described the minimum requirements for my area and explained how the various shingles were rated. This information helped me narrow my options down to 2 products instead of 6.

Had a complete replacement of sheathing and roofing materials and the results are just beautiful. Nice smooth, aligned appearance. I just go out and stare at it and marvel at the difference in the appearance of my home. All of this done without any damage to some pretty extensive seasonal plantings. I could have not asked for a more expert job.

He just made us feel fully confident in the company and we were! The installers did excellent quick work and were safety minded the whole time. You could see their intention was to please the customer and they did. The cleanup afterwards was very meticulous.
