I was very pleased with your agent Ross
he was very professional and was great with my kids. Even after the purchase of the home Ross still stops by to just see how things are going. He truly cares about his customers. And the way they designed the layout and utilized the space of the house. Thank you for caring and listening to all of are needs.
I enjoyed the process with Smith Douglas Homes. It was not very smooth. I ran into little difficulties here and there, but they handled them quickly, and I am satisfied with the outcome.
Smith Douglas has followed up with every time estimate and the quality of work has been top notch...Very pleased with the whole process!
I am still learning about my home, and I have noticed certain flaws. I am waiting for these issues to be corrected. I cannot give a positive response at this time. That is where I stand right now.
SMITH DOUGLAS HOMES SAM AN I TRUST BECAUSE OF THE HIGH STANDARD THAT IS SET AND WOULD RECOMMED THEM.
Love my house. Well laid out. Laundry room is smaller than I would like and shelves are too high for an older woman.
The houses are affordable and the staff is very friendly
Functional attractive design and beautiful material choices
Likely to recommend.
I love the country neighborhood and my floor plan.
I have a house in Clarksville that I purchased on 02/25/2026, and as a point of reference, this is my 4th new home that I’ve purchased since 2008. I have the Braselton II floor plan and I absolutely love it. The reason for my dissatisfaction is in the build quality, and in particular, the fit and finish of the sheet rock, mudding, and painting. I understand no home will be perfect, and there isn’t any expectation of that on my part, but I do understand from my past experiences what poor quality looks like
I have a couple of jobs, but one job was in insurance as an underwriter for commercial accounts. Most general contractors that do tract homes like Smith Douglas, Lennar, and Adams Builders typically in the past, I have always found they didn't have the same quality as a custom home builder. I will be honest, I was proven wrong with the home we purchased from Smith Douglas. This is very high quality. They have taken some additonal time to make sure things were right and things look great and they aren't installed in a shoddy way. Everything is well done. The builder in our walkthrough, as we looked over things we wanted repaired, he put as much blue tape as we did on things he saw that needed to be corrected. I would love things in the home you won't find with a tract builder, but that's okay. I found these to be above average quality for this type of builder. We were very satisfied with the home we purchased.
I feel like there's no guidance from whoever is doing the installation, whether it's flooring, even landscaping, or inside. I feel like they slap stuff together. I have screws coming out of the woodwork in my cupboards, and the flooring was cut up, and they just put it down anyway. The sod they just slapped down over, and there is all kinds of garbage in the yard. I had to move the plants and bushes already because they barely put them in the ground and covered them up with pine straw. Nobody looks back or checks up on them. There is no quality control check-up. In my opinion, they assume everybody is doing a good job. The sod work was terrible, and all the bushes and landscaping were bad. It doesn't seem like people follow up and require more out of their installers. Maybe that's their standard. I think their standards could be a little better, but maybe the price would have to go up, which is just crazy. Regardless of the price, the yard, sod, and everything are terrible. Nothing is flat, and it is all bumpy.
Except the construction manager, there was a major lack of expertise or knowledge in the entire process. The preferred lender was also a major issue running our credit without a loan being submitted or authorized.
From beginning to end, the experience was seamless and we were felt comfortable with both Emily and Brian.
I recommend Jeannette Westmoreland, Kathy Bardsley, Kaylee Bostick, and all the other employees supervising and making this process seamless. I am so satisfied with the quality of my home, and will refer all to build with Smith Douglas.
Everyone associated with the sales and construction of our home were excellent
Would highly recommend recommend!!
The quality of the finish work
I’m extremely happy with the customer service, but I have become concerned about the quality of the construction of my home. I’m already experiencing issues with nail pops and cracks in my ceiling and I have only been in my house four weeks.
I really love this house
The floor plan
The landscape
The floor
W/D room
The kitchen
Sell price should’ve been negotiatible. No wiggle room at all. It was obvious, selling and filling the units as quickly as possible was a top priority and not the customer.
Home wasn’t ready by closing with repairs. Seems as though team is stretched thin.
I am please with the service. I was informed throughout the process from to finish.
I had looked for a year to buy a new home as retired now and love the Eatonton Area
Our master closet rods weren’t installed properly. About 1/2 of the rods fell after we had been here a week. Several of the screws weren’t in studs and the anchors were too small for a closet system.
Great neighborhood and beautiful homes
Yes. Darrin has years of experience bringing insight & thought in assisting you with building your dream home.
Zach is professional, educates on the fundamentals of your new home, & informs you of proper maintenance to continue to care for your home. He was very kind to answer questions after the close date as well. I was unaware of how GFCI receptacles work & are connected in my laundry room.
Loved our project manager Landen through the process so would recommend solely on him. Rikel the builders agent on the other hand was extremely difficult to work with and constantly gave incorrect information and also inserted our selections wrong, and stated our name as a client in bad taste to our neighbors.
I gave it a rating of 4 because several happened after I had already moved into the home.
From the design with Jen to the pre drywall meetings and final walk through with Tiffani to moving in and living there, everyone from Smith Douglas has been great and transparent! There were delays but throughout everything, the team has kept customer service at the forefront.
Chris, the builder, truly went above and beyond throughout the entire process. He didn’t make the experience feel transactional or like he was just doing his job. He was personable, attentive, and clearly takes pride in the homes he builds. His positive attitude and willingness to answer questions or address concerns made the entire experience much smoother. I truly appreciated his professionalism and dedication.
This is tough for me to answer. On the one hand, the home was completed on time and budget. On the other hand, the build quality left something to be desired, and the post closing punchlist seemed to drag on and on. Whether I would recommend SD or not would depend on what priorities the individual had and it would come with a heavy dose of setting expectations.
As a first-time homebuyer, I feel like the process was rushed in the beginning. I wasn't aware of several options when it came to designing my home.
Exceptional sales service, and the building manager, Tiffany, was extremely knowledgeable about construction—especially helpful for us as new homeowners.
The people that work for smith Douglas homes are amazing!!
Jay and Raquel have been absolutely wonderful throughout this process. They were consistently helpful, patient, and responsive, always taking the time to answer our many questions and walk us through the construction progress. They welcomed our visits, addressed updates and concerns thoughtfully, and did it all with a positive attitude and a smile. We are truly grateful for their support and professionalism.
We have been in our Smith Douglas home for about a month. I wanted to give it a full month before offering a review of the company, the home, the process, and how they fixed any issues we discovered.
When we built out last home which was in Minnesota it turned out to be an awful experience. The builder didn't stand behind their work and got less responsive as time went on (despite major issues). I can share that we did not have the same experience with Smith Douglas. From beginning to now the experience has been amazing.
Our journey actually began mid-September when my wife and I flew to this area to view homes on the market. We had over a dozen homes on a spreadsheet with the Cantigny Park development being the last one to visit. Visiting those dozen homes, disappointment after disappointment, we were really hoping this one would be "The One". Along with our amazing agent, Tucker Felts, we met with Smith Douglas representative Viva Aldrich. Viva was really amazing, walking us through a couple of homes and talking through all the options. That was on a Sunday afternoon.
After visiting one other development that popped up at the last minute we decided - we should meet again with Viva on Monday and get serious about this opportunity. She took us through the options, designs and pricing. We worked the deal with the lot we wanted and signed.
Because we were moving from Minnesota we had to go home and start packing and put out home on the market. Viva took care of us through the process, keeping us informed and helping us as we changed our mind a time or two on some things.
When it came time to inspect and move in another person was brought into the mix, the construction supervisor (I think that's his title) Stayce. He has been nothing short of amazing as we've continued through the process. As minor things have come up he's been there for us. Friendly, kind, understanding and accommodating.
Our experience with this home has been awesome. I highly recommend Smith Douglas for the quality of the homes, the people who take great care of you, and the fact they really seem to want to make their customers happy.
We love our home and Emily Street was amazing to us.
The process was very smooth from start to finish.
We are in love with our new home, everything we chose to put into our home has exceeded our expectations!
It was difficult to get documents from them. There are some things like the paint cracking, and I am seeing little holes in the paint, and a line in the ceiling beam.
The reason I would recommend Smith and Douglas is for a few reasons, but mainly because how easy it was to work with Eric and Grant. From the first day we meet Grant he walked us thru everything we needed to know about the process, answered any questions we had and once we sat down and built the house (which was most stressful part because we were so indecisive) we didn’t have to do anything really afterwards. Eric was one of the most enjoyable things about building this home because he is one of the most stand up, honest and want to make sure your as happy as you can be kind of guy that I’ve ever meet. He’s professionalism on the job that he displays is fantastic, the knowledge he has of building the house is fantastic as well. Another great thing about Eric is no matter what he wants the homeowner to be happy and he will do whatever he has to do to make sure that at the end of the day everyone in the neighborhood is happy with the home! That man needs a raise for sure!
My overall experience has been very sad, disappointing, and regretful. I felt backed into a corner and almost forced to continue with this builder. If I could redo it I would not have continued the process with this builder.
Everything was good.
Smith Douglas Homes - Houston was easy to work with, had an honest approach to moving from out of state, and they did everything they said they were going to do.
The service is excellent and the quality of the build is superb.
For someone needing a good first home or a quick move in, I would highly recommend.
The home we purchased is very comfortable for us. The like the fact that all of downstairs is handicap accessible.
I would recommend Smith Douglas to my family and friends
