Basically we were satisfied with the work -- and do not know how to evaluate it as we have nothing to compare it against. For example, we are not sure how to evaluate the "fair value for the work" aspect of the survey as we have not had this kind of work performed previously.

I want to repaint a bathroom with semi-gloss over flat paint, but I also want to reseal the corners with a sealant. Seal first or repaint first? What sealant?

Always seal first and then paint. Why are you re-sealing the corners? Seal the corners first, prime, and lastly paint.

Are solar shingles a good option for my home?

Solar shingles are expensive and unproven. I recommend Sun Power photo voltaic solar. An average home is $20,000 to $30,000 and the return on investment is 4 to 6 years on a 25 plus year system.
