Communication has been lacking, my house is still not done two months after it was supposed to start, and some of the work done is falling apart.

Well one the two installers, Jose could not speak much English. And Javier was the leader, a better English speaker, but not great.
Also, there was a strong supervisor pre-inspection with pics taken & what looked like a strong post-inspection with pics also by the supervisor, but no one told us about the obvious damage to a corner of our second floor siding which I found by using my ladder a few days later to go up on our front porch roof to clean the exterior of a upstairs bedroom! I called and a couple of weeks later their "fix-it" sub-contractor (Terry?) fixed it at no charge. At $3180, he also put in a few edge line boards that I decided we needed. Like the roofers, he did very good work!

I got five bids before I selected a contractor to replace my roof. Ridge Top Exteriors had the best reputation online and I also got recommendations for them from two of my neighbors. They had the best price because I got a significant cash discount, which no one else even offered. And they had the best warranty. They came the day they were scheduled and they finished the same day. They cleaned up nicely, leaving my property better than they found it.

Things weren’t done right the first time, always seems to be something wrong every time they come out and fix initial install. Supervision is poor and not taking control of their job site. No quality control of their crews work. Relying on the owner to not see defects.

Minor glitches in ordering work and close-fitting parts.

The crew was fantastic. Worked hard and cleaned up everyday. When they left never knew they were there. Jason Schmidt was also very responsive and took care of everything on a timely basis. Tim has also been very responsive with our new front door.

The company and initial folks/contacts provided a professional, safe, and secure feeling - Necessary when spending such a chunk of money, you have to have a feeling of confidence in your choice. There was strong follow up and listening to address all of my voiced concerns. The roof and gutters look great, and I have peace of mind when it rains now.

They are just an all around good, trustworthy company.

I need someone to come back and fix siding on the back of my house please

This is the second time I've used Ridge Top and would use again. Only two things could have been better: scheduling was confusing. I was told the window for the roof replacement was further off on the calendar. That was important because I was told I needed to remove my Leaf Filters before they could put the new roof on. The roof actually went on 2-3 weeks earlier than expected and also that I didn't need to remove the Leaf Filters. Otherwise everything went well, they got there at 7 and were done by 2:30. I think they are one of the best in Madison.

Josh was right on top of things and the crew was professional and completed the job on time.

We were extremely satisfied with Ridge Top Exteriors. Everything from the initial consultation to the finished project, all aspects were completed with extreme knowledge and professionalism.

The up-front people were great which convinced me to go with Ridge Top. But things got muddy & sloppy and concerning. Better communication throughout each step would not have been that difficult, particularly after job scheduling. Keep the customer informed- see the email exchanges for detail. If you have access.

We had a very extensive window project done on our house and are completely happy with the outcome. There were a couple of hiccups when expanding window openings, to be expected with the scope of the project. Did not give 5 stars due to subcontractors disposition. As a homeowner who was on site every day, I expect a higher level of decorum from people working in my home.

We are so happy with the Hardie Board siding, makes this 79 year old house look new! The staff and team were very professional… the work is superb. We were always kept updated… they started on Monday and finished on Saturday… the crew cleaned everything up.

Scheduling was a nightmare. 3 no call-no shows on 3 separate days. After many discussions "the crew" aka one worker,Finally showed up at 7 pm on a Tuesday to tear off shingles.

It was thousands of dollars less than every other company we asked. They did twice as much work as we expected and there were no hidden charge even after fixing some broken wood.

Quality service and personnel

We started out being very excited with Ridge Top and decided to have them replace our roof based on their overall reviews from other customers, the financing provided, and the comfortability we felt after working with the sales person, Luke, who did a great job selling us on Ridge Top and the services and quality of services provided. However much of the process outside of the work with Luke was disappointing. Our project manager did not communicate well, especially leading up to the actual roof getting replaced. Once the roof actually started getting replaced that communication was improved. Clean up was disappointing, as initially the yard looked pretty good other than some food the workers left in the yard from their lunches. However upon further inspection, the gutters and gutter drains/run-offs were not cleaned effectively at all. I had to clean/remove several of them myself. I messaged this to the project manager and sales person, and the project manager said they would come out the next week to clean them up more himself and check them, however that did not happen and no one has been here to check them. We were also never told that debris could/would fall into our garage and there is nothing on the contract or the Construction Preparation and Expectations Pre-construction Evaluation to recommend prepping the garage. If communicated, we could have tarped our garage instead of having wood and nails all over inside of it. Lastly, while it does warn that our flowers and plant health cannot be guaranteed, I highly doubt they did the best they could to save or protect the flowers as it looks like several were directly stepped on and in our ring camera footage you can see workers walking right over the flower beds and flowers.

Communication about my roof work was horrible. 6 weeks with no communication only to have work cancelled and rescheduled twice with multiple excuses as to why the communications I received were inaccurate. Unacceptable. The roof team did a good job but the office needs a lot of work. I still don’t have a scheduled date for my siding and gutters and paid the deposit 2 months ago.

Quick response, with shingle replacement a few days later.

Ridge Top was very professional. The ability to quote while they were doing the estimate was a very big plus. They got the work done in a timely manner and in some adverse conditions. The quality of the workmanship was very high.
