SO many empty promises, misrepresentations, and outright lies during sales process. Roof job not installed per contract despite immediately bringing to attention of company via phone and written notice. Terrible experience overall. Truly sorry I ever heard the Proper Roofing, the irony of the name is sickening.

For the higher cost I can’t comfortably tell friends and family if it’s worth it. Had the cleanup crew had better attention to detail and not left as many nails as they did for my dogs and/or my son to potentially step on, I would maybe add stars here.

I had some issues with Proper Roofing and Remodeling at the time of installation.

Though we had some problems, the work was fine. The communication problem was due to the weather. We are satisfied with the work.

I feel cheated. The salesperson assured me that Proper Roofing was a family‑owned company and one of the best, and he talked about how other construction companies take advantage of customers. But when I started asking questions about what was happening in my home, he stopped responding to my texts. The person who actually did the work listened to my concerns and said he would report them to his superiors, but he later called me back saying there was nothing they could do. He told me his superiors said that’s just the way things were. The worst part is the invoicing. They refused to give me an itemized receipt, and that’s a big part of why I feel cheated. I believed I was being charged for work on the whole house, but they only did half. The invoice they sent simply says they were going to do siding work for the total dollar amount, with no breakdown at all.

I am likely to recommend them to a friend because they did a good job, they were timely and very friendly. My only complaint is that they left a lot of nails.
