The product is beautiful, but the installation is shoddy.

While installing the countertops, the crew made a decision that I should have been asked if I wanted. The decision was to leave a 1/4 inch gap in order to level stone on a small cabinet (~2 ft square next to a stove). That decision made the drawers uneven the the countertop (no longer parallel with one side a 1/4 inch taller, very noticeable). I would have told the installers that in this case that a 1/4 inch slope was better than a countertop uneven with the top drawer, and I would have been happy to sign a waiver or statement saying that is what I wanted (I should have been asked, and it should have been pointed out to me the problem before placing and gluing everything together). To fix this would require taking out upper cabinets, taking granite backsplash down, removing granite countertop, and leveling the stone or the cabinet by a 1/4 inch. Likely this process would have damage the wall and the cabinet, which would have meant weeks to get a new cabinet and construction to repair the gypsum drywall damaged.

I liked that I was informed of all the details. When all the people involved were coming to my home when they would arrive. What to expect. And all my questions that I had were answered. The video’s also were good.

I love my new kitchen countertops and backsplash. It all worked very smoothly Anthony who helped install the countertop was amazing and Justin who did the backsplash did an amazing job as well thank you.

The initial install date was Saturday 25 Feb and the job finished on Tuesday 24 March. They arrived with the sink hole cut 1” too big and a piece of back splash missing. I understand stuff happens and I am patient with that. what I'm not ok with was the incredible lack of communication and any type of guidance to rectify the problem. Any communication or resolution was one sided, no updates no nothing. Try living in a house and not using your kitchen sink for a week. Not knowing anything about the situation other than you paid several thousand dollars for this misery. I think you get the point, your company customer communication sucks, work on it.

We built a new house and of course had a few delays along the way. The customer service staff was excellent to work with. They understood and were very patient.

I was amazed by the professionalism of this Company… from Steven’s first visit to the installation everything was as smooth as you could imagine. The communication via text messaging was fabulous with arrival times given within 15 minutes. Installation day was unbearable… in and out within 3.5 hours. I will definitely be using Precision Countertops going forward on all my projects.

While I live the countertops and everyone was polite, one of the countertops was cut wrong. This left us without a countertop and sink in out main bathroom for over 2 weeks.

We liked how Amy kept in contact with us, so we knew every week what was going on and we could contact her with any questions. The project went fast, which was awesome because we weren’t upside down in the kitchen for long.

Precision Countertops thru The Home Depot came thru with outstanding value for the money.

We had a unique overmount sink that they made sure would fit before they left. We have a new construction home with new features. We also needed two holes in the countertop for pop up outlets with outlets below them, which they made sure were located correctly. Both the install and measure crew made sure these items were given the time they needed to ensure our project came together perfectly.

I loved how they kept me informed every step of the way.

My only hesitation is the lack of communication around the tile back order. I understand this is a supplier issue and not the fault of Precision, however failing to inform me of the delay so I could choose an alternate is a lapse by Precision. I have used Precision twice in the past and been completely satisfied both times.

Great experience from start to end product

We have used Precision Countertops and their partnership with Home Depot for replacing two countertops in our home. From ordering to installation and all the in-betweens, the process has been easy and stress free.

Servicemen were amiable, knowledgeable and very competent

I have had 3 people ask who we had do them and have recommended they contact Home Depot to start the process.

We enjoyed the same two workers for the entire process. They carefully measured the counters, tore out the existing counters and installed the new counter tops. They were polite and trustworthy. It made us very comfortable.

Not enough overlap on the MIL breakfast bar to allow installation of backsplash (will have to resolve with custom wood trim instead). Installer threatened to leave if he had to move his truck one more time when he was speaking to my wife who was trying to get out of the driveway. The countertop itself looks very nice fully installed. Thanks

They were very easy to work with. They arrived on time. And the countertops are awesome.

Craftsmanship

The quality of the countertops is good, and the measurement and installation went well (on time and quick). My issues were these: The person who figured out the cost had a hard time deciphering the information from the measurement and was charging me for things (such as taking out old countertops) that were not needed. As well, the plumber that Precision set up could not reinstall the dishwasher, and as the plumbing is sold as a "package" (not clear in the paperwork I received), I was unable to get a refund for that part of the project and had to pay for the Hone Depot contractor to do the work. This also delayed completion of the project (and running water in the kitchen) for several days.
