The staff was great, it feels safe and friendly.
good chill workout space - nice receptionists
Ticket nonmembers who park in the Y parking lot
Facility is nice and easy to use. Friendly staff.
Easy to use the machines I need, not too crowded most times.
Dislike when eco is moved or removed with little feedback from the members. We never see the Plum street manager to discuss this. She is never there and if she is her door is closed. Very disappointed in the management. Loads of money spent on massage beds when funds could have gone to upgrading equipment, hvac system and more classes that are over filled. Very very disappointed that when equipment breaks it takes days and weeks to repair va at Briggs YMCA. I would go to another gym if the plum street manager y was not so close and affordable. Not what I expected at a y. Great front desk staff.
More upright stationary bikes and put them on the lower floor.
Temperature is much too warm, especially upstairs. If I remember correctly 65 degrees is the recommended temperature for exercise gym.
Classes are great. Teachers are great. People are very friendly.
I love the water massager machine! I take classes at Briggs which is closer to home for me.
Parking can be horrific around scheduled class times. Often times I have to park on the street and pay the city. I think they should give wine members a break if you’re parking on the street. Maybe we should get a waiver if we show the YMCA parking pass.
Also, there are not very many senior classes anymore. More senior classes would be helpful, especially looking at the demographics during the morning hours.
I like the mix of options available at the Plum Street Y and I really like that it isn’t as crowded as Brigg’s Y.
its airy and calm
Clean, friendly, convenient, many choices - excellent overall
Staff is super friendly, could use more equipment carrier
The chain link fence is a little strange. The sauna needs a little maintainance and heater regulation - gets up to 220 sometimes.
You didn’t. I just mostly go to Briggs for swimming. Started the Plum class on Fridays (it was great) as it’s only way to a regular event in Lacey at noon.
The front staff is extremely kind and helpful, the facilities clean and the classes are wonderful
I'd probably recommend the Briggs location because it's more spacious
I wish the massage chairs could be used more than 10min. By the time you adjust your settings it's almost over. When nobody is waiting for a chair it would be nice to have 10 more minutes.
The instructors (especially Beth Daniel) are great and instill a sense of camaraderie among students.
I usually encourage seniors to check out the 2 local Ys.
Staff were very friendly. The place is well
organized and easy to figure out. I came
for the dry sauna in the women’s dressing room. It was wonderful. I will be back.
The staff are all friendly, helpful people. Good hires all around!
Excellent classes and facilities. Massage chair essential part of exercise. Staff friendly and helpful—they are authentic
The parking is abominable. Otherwise the y gets a 10.
