It has the standard equipment to meet most gym-goers needs, including mine. It does not have the capacity for many amenities, so it depends on the needs of the person. The gym has failed to create a welcoming environment, much less a nurturing one, among gym-goers. Staff are always respectful.
The atmosphere is very casual and pleasant.
More parking that’s easier and safer to get in and out of!
Parking is a struggle and my new car door has three dings even thpugh I park carefully. I have started parking on the street which is expensive.
Overall atmosphere is welcoming. Classes are both fun and beneficial—I can see a change in my health. The restorative lounge is an amazing and much appreciated addition.
The parking is horrible and that is the main drawback.
I would give it a 10 if the parking was better. I hate to HAVE to pay to park to workout—I just leave—which does not help me meet my fitness goals.
Hours are only okay, and I'm tired of the puddle in the men's sauna. I'd like more staff support (signs, training, accountability) for men who just drip sweat on the floor and don't clean up after themselves. And, yes, I've spoken to a few about it.
Staff is so friendly and helpful. The classes are great.
I like the gym. My only thing is I love a pool and whirlpool.
staff just sooo nice.
This a great facility. I love the aerobics programs and the massage chairs are worth their weight in gold!
The teacher for Body Flow is excellent!
It has the equipment i prefer and the members are there to workout not dawdle on equipment
We went to work out but it didn’t have all the machines we use at the Briggs Y. We did have fun with the massage and cryo chairs!
Parking needs to be resolved
I mainly just use the sauna in the men's room. It's ok, but one improvement would be more wood panels around the metal heating box. When the heating element is running, the direct radiation from the metal is extremely hot and makes it uncomfortable to sit on one half of the room. More wood panels around it would dull that direct radiation and allow more heat to go to the air instead.
Improve the parking availability
From the moment I walk through the door, I feel welcome. The front desk staff is always friendly, smiling, kind, and eager to help. The Plum Street is smaller, which I like, more for adults, and is clean and well kept up.
I love the Gentle Yoga and Yin Yoga instructors.
I love my chair yoga classes with Ashley and I love the sauna in the woman's restroom. I have a couple of other classes that I am interested in but need to make some changes to my schedule. My one issue is the parking. I take 9am classes and most of the time I arrive at least 30 minutes early so I can find a parking space.
Group exercise room is too warm (67 degrees F)
Teachers are excellent! Staff who check me in are very friendly and always welcoming.
I like the brands of exercise equipment. There are plenty of cardio machines so I don't usually have to wait for any the machines I prefer (treadmill, recumbent bike, elipital/stairstepper). I appreciate using the Preva app to track my workouts on most of the cardio equipment.
Healthy and friendly space.
