I wish that they still closed at 9pm. Otherwise I enjoy all other aspects of the plum st Y
I like being a member of the Y and having places close to workout. Love some of the classes and teachers - Barre (Maren) and some of the yoga teachers; use the well stocked workout room too. The mats need upgrading thought they work. I am disappointed that both places are shoddy feeling as old and not kept up. At Plum - the lockers are sticky making them hard to open and close, the sauna is too small. At Briggs - the lockers room is still funky and shoddy despite the new ‘upgrade’ with too small lockers. It is disappointing that the hot tub dysfunction is so frequent. As a swimmer, I wish there were more options in town as the lap swims are very crowded (not your fault). The price of membership is on the high end for having these issues, in my opinion. You send too many emails for surverys, also. All that said, I am grateful to be a member and love the ‘welcoming all’ culture that includes me! This explains the 7 vs higher score.
I really love the variety of classes available for a wide range of abilities, in addition to access to all of the equipment. I have recommended the Y to my entire family.
Open longer hours and more days (e.g. holidays); more free opportunities for women to improve in resistence training
Love the classes especially body pump with Tammy and Carissa
Weekend hours are too short. My best blocks of free time during the week are Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening, and you are closed then. I can't be the only one who needs this schedule-- seems like it would be true for lots of people with 9 to 5 jobs?
Plum street Y is my favorite. It’s open and spacious design keeps it from being stale and musty smelling or feeling overly crowded.
Parking is a nightmare!
Parking is terrible, there isn't enough. Busy times have gotten really busy and I often am lucky to find a spot. Childcare feels focused on the youngest kids. My 10yo does not enjoy
Friendly staff, clean facility, serves my needs.
It is a very nice and clean place to work out, and the staff is kind and helpful.
Friendly staff and members
I love the plum street why! I always feel welcome, the people are awesome!
Great staff, friendly atmosphere, great yoga class with Jade
The cost is too high
The exterior of the property needs to be tended to more. Garbage especially needs to be picked up on the parameters of the building and on the walkway in front of the building. From the outside the building looks like it's not in use.
Very friendly staff and a great facility for getting a good workout. I appreciate the continuing effort to make the space great. I am sorry to see the spaces for mat exercises and stretching taken up by bikes. It's nice to have space available that's not in the middle of the room.
I like the Recovery Room. I attend weekday class at Briggs as it is close to my home.
My husband and I have met good people when we come to work out, and there’s a friendly group who share workout ideas. I do floor exercises and use free weights and my husband uses a bike and other machines. We come almost 5x/week.
I take a regular class twice a week. I have been surprised by other guests either using the equipment during class or the space - sometimes making class members have to squeeze together, etc.
Friendly staff, low key environment
Staff are friendly and welcoming. The facility is very clean and well maintained. The water massage table is amazing!
Need more parking.
Thank you for asking. Several facilities all within a 10mi radius but lacking in amenities and quality overall. Would prefer focus on a legacy facility (think Burlington's Y or other). Focus rather than spread.
They have the friendliest atmosphere to a lot ive been too...
