At first contact I was required to give a credit card for a $575 deposit before anyone even came out to look at the issues. The first rep came out late, didn’t look at all the issues and left within 10 minutes. The 2nd rep came out a couple of days later, was more thorough and said that I would be contacted. When a proposal was sent it didn’t address all the issues and was vague on total costs associated with the project. I emailed back to clarify the details and price twice and after several days without a response decided to go with another contractor. I was charged $75 for the 2 brief visits. I understand that the people who came out have to be paid but their office follow up was the real problem. We had used them in the past with great results but will never consider them going forward.

Our first home project with Megapros was seamless. This present project, which was considerably larger, had more bumps in the road which were resolved but caused some stressful moments. We felt communication was often delayed and workers were spread thin so they couldn’t always attend to a problem in a timely fashion.

I contacted Mega as I’ve heard their commercials with the jingle and the rave reviews from customers. After past unsatisfactory experiences with other contractors I was in dire need of the job done correctly and completely with no snags. After a few rounds of phone tag I finally secured a 2pm appointment with an estimator albeit 5-6 weeks out. I took off work that day and met the estimator.
The job wasn’t a big job but was more than we could handle. I basically wanted to deck two 100 sf terraces only instead of it being the floor… it was the ceiling. Picture attached. Material wasn’t a concern weather it be composite decking, bead board, siding, pvc or whatever. I knew the composite would be the most expensive but anything to just cover the existing corrugated tin of the terrace above me. After about an hour of texts, photos and calls back to the office the estimator sat down and produced a quote…but he sat there for what seemed like 5 minutes explaining what it all covered and the astonishing feats of magic that would be performed to bring this project to completion as it virtually would last forever and be the greatest accomplishment of man vs construction. He then slid it across the counter to me! I was thinking $5k….$7500…I could probably talk my wife into that ….$10,000??? Then I’d have to buy her a new car to get it past her. BUT IT WAS MORE!!!! $19,763 to install 200 sf of an undetermined material. They completely wasted my time. If they didn’t want the work they should not even have set up an appointment and told me so on the phone. Truly a bad experience with what’s is advertised as “The Best”. They are the best all right…bend over!!!!

Definitely likely to recommend! I see no reason to stress yourself out searching and searching the internet looking for someone you think might do a good job, when I know Mega Pros will get the job done and be easy to work with in ever manner of speaking.
