Staff is friendly, facility is well-maintained, equipment is in good working order
Classes and people
Cleanliness is the best!
A well run facility. Very clean. Complete set of exercise equipment. Well maintained pool with lifeguard. Plus individual meeting rooms. What more can one ask for?
People very nice and helpful
Lots of classes and machines. I wish we were allowed to bring guests or sign up my great grandson for swim lessons without a membership.
Friendly atmosphere
Personal Trainer
I thought the online process to find a membership and enroll was simple enough but when I visited the location to get the key tag it seems like I didnt pick the correct account and needed to pay extra. Perhaps make the online process of finding the right membership easier.
It is clean, updated and there is a lot of variety in the classes.
The young lady who updated my membership was very polite and helpful. It was a very nice way to resume my YMCA involvement and she made me feel welcomed.
They have the programs I was looking for to loosen up and continue moving forward to better health.
Staff was not very friendly (except for a man at the front counter early morning my first day). I was disappointed that I came to Pilates and there were no mats so I had to leave and skip that. I know now. Also wish there was a sauna, but that’s just a wish.
Wonderful place to exercise. Also like to go to the classes that they offer. Great selections and great teachers
The choice of classes is lacking compared to a couple of years ago. I wish there were a lot more Les Mills classes and a variety of the Les Mills classes.
Body pump class
EVERY staff member is so friendly and helpful!
Too crowded at peak times already
Joe was very accommodating when we walked in to check things out. We have found it to meet our needs as a couple, both together and separately and have been able to nudge my mom into the older adults programs.
Fitness area too small, in middle of area, no privacy and too many kids goofing off all the time, no one watches them
Bright, friendly, inspiring. Great classes. Great people, both staff and members.
Most of the machines are designed for men only with weight that doesn't go low enough. The bicep curl is so hard to lift you may as well say it's for men only and the range of motion is obviously not built for a woman. they have a whole section where you're supposed to work out without a mirror to check for form, obviously this is the "women's section". I only go bc of the pool and bc it's convenient.
Good equipment, pleasant people and clean environment.
The variety of offerings for all different ages and the friendly and helpful staff and members , as well as the reasonable cost would be reasons I would recommend.
Having to get to the Y an hour plus ahead of time to get into a group exercise class is crazy. There should be a registration facility in the app. Its a huge waste of my time standing in line for longer than the class. Especially since people are constantly cutting in line and saving chairs for their friends who come late. There is no oversight from the Y staff. Very poorly run.
Great atmosphere to have a wonderful workout!
Clean and welcoming when you check in
Y offers many programs for seniors. I like that.
I find the staff are very friendly and helpful. The group exercise classes are very good. and the facility is well kept up.
I think the facility overall is great. There are issues, however, with availability for adult programs, specifically basketball. At this point in time, adult (30 and over) basketball is limited to Monday nights from 8-9:30 and Saturday mornings from 7-8:45. On Monday nights, we have issues being cancelled due to youth sport tryouts and consistently we are not able to get on the courts fully until 8:15, with volleyball cleanup, etc. There should be options available, whether that be staying open until 10:00pm or arranging for additional available time. When trying to play on other "open gym" days, there are issues with limited space (30 people show up on a Wednesday night to play basketball but one side of the gym must remain volleyball for only 4-6 people). This needs to be fixed and/or options need to be discussed.
I love everything about this facility and the staff.
I'm fine with the YMCA. I have been a member for 25 years; however I think if someone was looking for a new gym they would be more interested in the newer shiny fitness organizations nearby with more selection of equipment, larger facilities, and updated classes.
This is an amazing YMCA facility! I have a second family! I enjoy all of the group fitness classes and all the support from the instructors and the camaraderie of all the people attending these classes!
Clean environment, friendly staff.
Love the group exercise classes. I’ve made many friends.
Very helpful while getting membership. All questions answered and received a tour of the facility
Love my Y Community! Have met many like-minded moving people, both young & old.
Excellent choices of classes and all instructors are excellent, too.
This Y didn’t play even one Christmas song. When I asked if they would be playing any, the response was “I think it’s just something that plays” and “whoever turns on the music in the morning picks”. It makes me sad to know that this Y doesn’t celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
I joined Gill‘s Ymca as soon as it was built in 1998
Need more classes Silver Sneakers ,. Balance, Chair yoga, more days of the week and also on weekends.
Nice people and all the good things about a fine Y. However, your IT systems need to improve. Notably I get most emails from you as if from the sender, "noreply".
I have recommended several people to the Y and through my volunteering have encouraged several members to join the volunteer group as well. Love My Y
Fix broken equipment faster
I like that you have a variety of classes and social opportunities. The teachers have helped me a lot as I am 82 years old.
Great instructors. Friendly staff. Family days are a nice extra. Would like to see games days ( Mahjong, rummikub, cards)
Extremely disappointed and frustrated that water aerobics is held only twice a week. It is very popular and it has been well over a year since classes are only held on Tuesday and Thursday. As a participant it is extremely frustrating to hear that there are no instructors. When I first started coming, we had classes 5 days a week. The women’s showers are filthy with mold growing on the walls.
The group exercise rooms, where Pilates and yoga classes are held are frigid cold. It is not safe or healthy to stretch in these cold temperatures. Please, please adjust the temperatures to these rooms when these classes are being held. Thank you.
Staff is not knowledgeable
I enjoy going to the y
