We feel like company tries to save as much money as possible, to the extent that it hurts customers

Ashton Woods Homes is a very good company. They do everything they say they will. They are very responsible.

My experience with the sales team was good, but I am not pleased with my property at the moment.

The process was very smooth, even with the mortgage lender. They had very fast communication and always answered any questions.

Cheap builds, sales reps to property managers are just full of it! Washer brand new has ruined all my work clothes broken 1 time already, since end of may fell garage of trash don’t move here

My biggest disappointment throughout this experience was the lack of communication. Purchasing a home is one of the largest investments most people will make, and I often felt I had to chase updates rather than receive them proactively. There were multiple occasions where I had to repeatedly follow up to learn the status of financing, closing, or warranty items. Better communication and more frequent updates would have made the experience significantly less stressful.

The construction manager, Zack! He was amazing! Zack is awesome! He went way above and beyond to make sure our new home was perfect for us and I am extremely grateful for his kindness, knowledge, and professionalism. Outstanding!! Thank you Zack!!

Sales guys/girls were kind and very in top of it

As I have resided in my recently purchased house for an extended period, I have noticed several concerning issues with the construction quality. The paint texture exhibits inconsistencies, and the air conditioning unit, which was a primary concern for me, operates at its maximum capacity for the size of the home. Overall, the construction standards were subpar, and the purchase price does not justify the quality of the home. Consequently, I will not recommend Ashton Woods to anyone else.

I was very dissatisfied with every step of the process. From having to drive to the title office in Katy 1.3 hours away when American First Title has an office in town 10 min away; to falling short on the home warranty guarantees.

Nice quality affordable home.

The experience with the house and builder wasn’t bad at all. However warranty process was sub par and still have unresolved issues after 3 months on waiting and unkept promises.

I do like the the build, the finished items such as moldings, kitchen hardware, master suite bathroom glass shower enclosure, all of the appliances.

There’s a pleasure working with the sales person as well as the foreman of construction. They’re very knowledgeable very helpful and quick to respond.

The prices are good. Service is great. Within the first 2–3 weeks of my tenant’s move, the breakers broke twice—the electrical breakers. There was also a leak from the HVAC that required us to pull out an entire drywall. We just purchased the home on April 20th, so I feel like it was not inspected correctly, and now the tenant has to suffer.

It was a great experience working with starlight homes. I definitely recommend starlight homes to friends and family.

I raised couple of tickets related to home one year warranty. But now almost two years issue is not yet fixed

The house is great for the most part aside from the master bathroom shower glass not sealed completely and the gaps at the bottom corners of the garage door allowing a mouse and frog to get in.

Too many issues were left undisclosed until it was too late to change mind or make decisions to benefit us as the homeowner.

I would absolutely not recommend Ashton Woods Homes. Our sales associate was wonderful, but after her, it was a nightmare. We thought it was going to be amazing because of her, but from project management onward, including their manager, it was just a nightmare. She was great, and while some of the first line of defense people may be great, buyers should beware.

I'm having problems with the warranty department, mainly not getting callbacks and a lack of follow-up. I've followed up with the sales team and called on various occasions, but I still haven't been able to get help from the warranty team.

I did recommend to my coworker and she also purchased in another neighborhood.

Before closing, I discussed replacing the sink from a double sink to a single sink with your representative, Miguel, and I was clearly assured that this would be taken care of. This understanding was an important factor in my decision to proceed with the purchase.

Since closing, I have been unable to get a response, as my calls have not been returned. I also visited your office and was advised to submit my request in writing.

While this agreement was not documented in the contract, it was clearly communicated and agreed upon in the presence of my real estate agent, who can confirm the discussion.

I kindly request that your team honor this commitment and provide a timeline for completing the sink replacement.

Starlight was very easy yo work with

It boils down to the craftsmanship and quality of materials.

Baseboard corners not even, and excessive amounts of putty used to smooth out as a band-aid in order to receive paint.

Paint drips throughout home. Paid to upgrade interior doors to be painted a different color. Those doors were sprayed but scratched up when door hardware was put on. Touch up paint applied with brush and because the black door hardware was not covered, I now have to go throughout the home myself and clean each door.

Exterior side of windows scratched; I expected some due to the nature of construction but expected them to look like new on a brand-new home.

Upgraded iron railing was scratched with chunks of glue under the handrail.

Upgrade on refrigerator surround is crooked. Cabinet company came out and made adjustments. It is not perfect but good enough that I can live with it.

Doorbell doesn't work but electrician no longer working with the builder and new electrician doesn't want to touch someone else's work.

Terrible craftsmanship on the wood fence and gate. Exterior side of gate was repaird but the interior side that I didn't see until the warranty ticket was closed, is shotty work. The fence guy got happy with the nail gun.

Some of these have been corrected with a warranty ticket but moving into a new home is stressful enough and homeowners don't want to have to sync schedules and miss work so that trades can come in and correct issues that should have been caught before closing.

The home is beautiful, our family felt very at-home and comfortable very quickly. The subtle details made us feel like there was care put into these homes (ex: sprinkler system being included, ample storage space, arched windows and entry way, landscaping, the specialty windows, lots of natural light, etc.)
