Throughout the build process homes in our area dropped drastically. You were selling the same floorplan for 60-70k less than what we signed for. Would have been nice to work with the price with us. Now we are 60k upside down on a brand new home. After we tried to back out and buy a cheaper home, we were told our 13k we already paid would be kept by history maker even though you would sell the home anyways. The seller made us feel as if history maker had a family oriented culture. They told us every home they build and sell, they imagine selling to a family member. We soon found out that was a lie.
the sale has not been communicated to me that well. I asked her about the house through texting, sometimes I never got the answer.
HistoryMaker really work to make your dreams come true
Sales rep could use some training on customer service. There was a few different times during the process where she was very rude and condescending.
HistoryMaker Homes was very professional and helpful throughout the home purchasing process. They answered all questions and checked in to make sure we were comfortable. The customer service was above average.
I would highly recommend HistoryMaker Homes to my friends and family. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and well-organized. The team was responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to making sure everything went well. We felt supported every step of the way and are very happy with the quality of our home and the overall experience.
My experience was good. HistoryMaker Homes is knowledgeable and has good reviews overall. I took a star off because on the ceiling, you can see the bulge of where the wooden panels are off. They said it was normal, but guests have noticed it, and it looks odd.
Right now I am fairly dissatisfied since I have had to deal with many issues within my first week in the house. Especially regarding the inability for me to get internet since it is incredibly difficult to do much in 2026 without it.
I love my HistoryMaker Home. The spaces are well designed, the quality is very good and I’d trust them to build my next home. Not only are the homes quality but so are the people.
The initial process was great. The associate we dealt with was very helpful and informative. However, he left the company mid way through our build as well as the construction manager, and from there the service degraded a great ton.
The build quality is poor, and the craftsmanship is substandard.
They buying experience was fine, but the build quality is questionable.
The price point, build, and structure of the house are good.
Very beautiful home. Well built. Very minimal maintence items.
Quality of the products used and how the home was built not impressed. My previous home was built way better.
It's a great house and we like all the employees we've worked with.
I am likely to recommend them to a friend because I am pleasantly surprised about the quality of the build.
Overall, the home quality feels rushed. My concrete steps outside of the front foyer are cracking and separating. There is concrete spalling in my driveway. My home is showing signs of significant shifting, with doors not closing and wide drywall cracking. I had to pay out of pocket for a sewer line test, that was already recommended by my inspector, because the warranty team shrugged it off. It failed, as my inspector assumed. Both points of contact from historymaker homes for warranties no longer work for the company, leaving me in discontinuity with several warranty issues.
When signing for my home I was told things would get fixed. It's been a year and 1 month and things have yet to get fixed. It's also very easy fixes like grout, and small pieces of tile not touching.
I would definitely recommend HistoryMaker Homes to a friend. The quality, value, and overall experience have been excellent so far.
The customer service was really great and History Maker had a better buyer selection experience than a few other builder's we were considering.
This is the second HM home we’ve built and both times we’ve had great experiences. The new home we built in 2025 was such a wonderful experience due to Garrett Ford and Weldon Whittle! When an issue would arise, they were on it! They really cared about our family and made sure we were happy with the outcome. Weldon also included occasional drone video updates of the house for us, which was so cool!
I was told prior to closing on 12/18, my earnest money deposit would be mailed out on 12/19. As of 1/7, I haven’t received it or heard anything regarding it, even after making several request. This is not a good way to conduct business, had I known, definitely would have chosen a different builder.
I have been in the home for two months and the longer I am in the home the more and more areas I see where the craftsmanship on the home is very mediocre. Some areas are actually very bad with mismatched grout, cracked tiles in the master shower, and master tub faucet that barely works when it is turned to hot.
We have enjoyed our house so far!
Everyone with HistoryMaker was great!
The process went smoothly, and I’ve been happy with the quality. I’d definitely recommend at least checking them out.”
The customer service is sketchy after you move in, regarding warranty work.
Love the home and design. The process and staff were great during the home buying process and after.
We dealt w/David Stockton from the very beginning. We never felt pressured in any way or pushed to make a decision. David was very low-key but yet very knowledgeable & informative on all aspects of our decision.
The Sale office and buying experience was exceptional. However the warranty experience is way I can only give 3 stars
Overall it was a wonderful experience and I think the area/regional manager did a wonderful job trying to ensure we were taken care of, including lowering the price so it would be easier to sell our home. The only thing that was difficult was the constant changing of sales manager, we went through 3 or 4 in the span of the sale which made it difficult to establish the relationship and had we had one person it may have been easier to catch the mistakes with some design center options not being transferred and some fun aspects of the build that did not happen. Otherwise we loved Brandon, Amy, and everyone with the mortgage and closing teams
Have some concern with the information that was given about property taxes at the time of the initial sale, it think the sales person needs to be clear about to true cost for the purchase.
Not at all. Customer service and culture of feeling welcome is non existent.
The process for the home was seamless. It all went well. I was happy with the team in charge of helping me become a homeowner.
A year ago I would’ve put a five
We’ve been very pleased with our home.
Simon was awesome to work with.
The overall build quality of the house was quite disappointing. I have unlevel floors, walls that are not plumb, inconsistent textures, and a sloped ceiling in my front entry. This doesn’t feel like a $450,000 house; it more resembles a budget $80,000 house constructed by high school students for a wood shop project.
I've loved my home since I moved in. It's great, and I haven't had any problems.
Sales department needs a total overhaul. Does not know their own inventory, development or company they represent. Manager, Salicia Gregory is blatantly unprofessional and should not be allowed to talk to customers. They left the reputation of History Maker Homes as a dishonest company to work with.
I feel like there are some quality issues with the home.
I appreciated our experience from start to finish. Beginning with Harlee as being a very informative sales agent and helping us understand the process thoroughly as first time home buyers. Then, Josh was fantastic when it came to working and communicating directly with the builder. He was able to get everything completed we requested prior to close without and pushback and with great customer care.
Everyone has been great. Tommy and Mason have been very helpful.
Contractors do not keep the site tidy. No community space or green space in site plan. Electrical box locked off during inspection.
Company was open to our needs and worked with us during the process of buying and building our home.
The experience with the team was very professional pleasant and on time service.
The build quality could have been better, im experiencing several issues with the home.
By the time of this review 12/02/2025, the construction process has not been completed. I would like to offer a better review as I understand that HM, the Sales & Construction teams want to provide a top of the line purchasing and constriction experience, but given all the hiccups throughout the process so far, I would be cautious to recommend History Maker to friend.
Overall experience very disappointing
