Since our founding in Clearwater, the YMCA of the Suncoast has grown from its first facility in 1965 to its newest in Citrus County in May 2016. At the time it opened, the Clearwater YMCA was one of the largest YMCAs in the country. In more than 60 years, our footprint has not just grown, but flourished and made an impact on the communities we serve, especially in youth development. In the ‘80s, we introduced before- and after-school child care to our service areas. Today, we guide more than 60 school-age programs in your elementary and middle schools. Hide

I have asked my friends to come to the Y as my guest . I also, play at different parks in Pasco and Hernando Counties, therefore I invite them to come and try us out.

The prices are getting crazy for everything. Not just membership but crafts, sports, training, outings, way more than they used to be and the quality isn't changing.

The senior calendar is always the same stuff. How about introducing something new. Add a second day of Mahjong or a game day, Balance classes, etc.

Everything! Pam N was the first person I met when I was looking for a place to exercise. Her friendliness, kindness and encouragement sealed the deal. I never looked anywhere else. My best and most trusted friends in Florida are at the Y. Love CJ, Michelle, Kathy, Donna, Lynn…really miss Debbie! We are snowbirds. There is no place like the Hernando County Y!

The Y has everything I’m looking for. The instructors r nice and helpful they talk to u and explain the techniques and how to proceed. I like the social part as well regarding trips outside the y. I got to meet a lot of nice people. I like the fact that the staff greet you when you enter with a smile.

I have to also have a planet fitness membership because for some reason you set all the treadmills to 30 min limit! Start and stopping your workout is a pain in the butt. So I pay a ymca membership just to swim . I run and workout at planet fitness. I been member of ymca I. Multi states and NEVER had treadmill limits so low. NOT EVERYONE ARE WALKERS ! Pool personnel are great!

I have been training with Kristhel Lopez for 2.5 years. I love her!!! She comes to each session prepared and does research to find exercises that meet my needs.

Whenever you go there, it is a positive experience. The facility is well kept and very large, the staff is always helpful and friendly, it is busy most of the time, which is a good sign in my book.

Handicap parking is sometimes non-existant depending on the time of day.
