Great, clean place to work out with very friendly staff
Stop maintenance workers from coming into classes before they are over! It is intrusive and dangerous! We had a guy come into our class and try to set up a ladder! Other guy comes in and starts throwing tables around before we even have a chance to put our equipment away!
The Y recognized a growing trend in playing a table game (mah jongg) and addressed it with a weekly session.
I absolutely love the YMCA pool. I’ve lost weight, got stronger to get out of a wheelchair and I’ve made wonderful friends. I do wish the water was a bit warmer for my severe neuropathy but our Y seems more interested in the healthy swimmers than the ones with arthritis, neuropathy and fibromyalgia and a few dealing with cancer. There’s one friend who’s only form of exercise is walking in the pool she is fighting cancer and if the water is too cold she cannot exercise. There’s proven research that recommends at least 86-87 degrees but they choose to ignore that. I have to wear heavy wetsuit pants to use the pool now. Before our current leadership in the building and pool , the water was a constant 86-87. Now, apparently they say it’s impossible. No one has ever had a heat stroke at our pool, according to our lifeguards yet our administrators try to say this happens. Other than that I love the lifeguards who are extremely kind to me and my disabled, adult son. The women who greet us at the door are wonderful too. I dont use the gym as it’s far too difficult for me. The pool is my gym. Please help us with this concern. I beg of you
I made some friends there. I have enjoyed playing chair volleyball, taking Stability and Senior Circuit classes, and playing cards. I also appreciate that swimming lessons are offered, although I haven't done that yet. Staff have been very kind and helpful. Using the gym equipment was the first activity I did there, and it's terrific that it's been updated.
I have been a member of the Y for many years and would highly recommend it to anyone. Especially senior citizens
Ymca management is always truthful about how water classes will be or about getting a replacement for a known absence instructor. This then leaves 22 people in the water ready for class with no instructor or a water class..
Since the renovation, it's very professional.
Staff is friendly and professional. The building and grounds are clean.
I would just like the pool water to be a few degrees warmer. I use the pool for health benefits and when it is cooler it isn't as enjoyable or offer the needed relief I need.
Friendliness of staff and up-to-date equipment and an energetic atmosphere throughout the building.
Very nice workers, cleaning staff is excellent
I feel at home here. I have friends, sign up for classes and 62+ events, I am obsessed with the E Gym and personal training (Aaron is great)
Fun & Friendly
A friendly and welcoming gym- has many many things to offer. Excellent and well maintained equipment. Very clean inside and out.
Change the TV channels, so their are more active sports and active events. The USA channel that is on every day is more like a soap opera show and gets old being on there day after day. Also the Paws video's are more silly than interesting, and again the same thing is shown day after day.
The swimming pool is over crowded.
Spray bottles are always empty, members can't clean equipment. The younger staff is very rude, one girl at the front desk never smiles and always says it's because she didn't sleep. Witnessed a young male employee honking his horn aggressively in the parking lot at the car in front of him. The was a man trying to cross the parking lot with a walker and the lady stopped to let him cross, the employee was furious and this was at 6 am in the morning. You all need to do better with your hiring process!!!
I love attending the Silver Sneakers classes.
Friendly atmosphere and the very helpful staff
The hours aren’t great. Used to be open until 10pm
From when I first joined all the staff I encountered were always very friendly and helpful if I had any questions. The exercise instructors are very helpful and encouraging
I'm a little frustrated with the new housing development and the large amount of new members. The facility just isn't big enough. At least the gym isnt.
A variety of exercise classes. Very friendly and caring staff
The seniors that attend the early Water Excercise class have half the class spacetime away all summer. When I tried to have a reasonable discussion with Kent, he was immediately rude and went on the attack.
