Since our founding in Clearwater, the YMCA of the Suncoast has grown from its first facility in 1965 to its newest in Citrus County in May 2016. At the time it opened, the Clearwater YMCA was one of the largest YMCAs in the country. In more than 60 years, our footprint has not just grown, but flourished and made an impact on the communities we serve, especially in youth development. In the ‘80s, we introduced before- and after-school child care to our service areas. Today, we guide more than 60 school-age programs in your elementary and middle schools. Hide

It's always nice to go to the YMCA and be greeted with friendly faces.

My friends who want to play pickleball don't want to play there as the courts are terrible. They would rather pay money to play some place where they don't have to put up their own nets and the court itself is maintained in a professional way. They also don't have to share a court with basketball players.

The various classes that are offered like Cardio & Strength, Step & Strength, Pilates, Yoga and Barre have increased my strength, endurance, balance and stamina. I’m proud of my progress and thankful to have this wonderful YMCA

Facilities don’t seem as set up towards young families as I’d hope. Childcare is great, but the pool hours compliment the older crowd and swim teams. Wish we could take our kids more but they don’t get off the bus till 4:30 and swim team/swim lessons start practice around 5

I truly enjoy the equipment yet the lack of supervision for members who monopolize equipment is disappointing. Members sit on machines on their phones inbetween sets or just wait listening to their headphones

Very friendly atmosphere. Always greeted with a smile. Never feel judged or embarrassed. Love the EGYM. Great idea for folks that are older or not too familiar with circuit training.
