I'm actually not seeing a wire sticking out of the wall to connect to (in either picture).  There should be a wire sticking out somewhere, unless they also clipped that off, or stuffed it behind the w ... read more
What kind of insulation is needed in the attic of my 2-story brick town house so that the 2nd floor bedrooms are as cool as the basement and 1st floor?
R-49 also ventilation is very important to have soffit vent as well as roof vent to keep the attic cool and dry.
