All was excellent except for two matters which were very costly for me. I had new expensive gutters with leaf guards put on the front and side of house just a few months before I had the roof replaced. I was told by the gutter professionals that I should not have the back gutters replaced until after the roof was put on. I had an excellent warranty (15 years or so) on the new gutters and I sold my house before the roof was put on (condition of the sale) and the warranty would transfer to the new owners. When I worked with the initial sales contact from Collis, who was professional and set up everything, he texted and emailed as we finalized the contract that the gutters would not need to be removed and that Collis would only remove the back gutter (and I contracted with my gutter company to replace with new gutters there). Dustin was outstanding after work was started and kept me advised throughout the process. The second day he mentioned that the front gutters would have to have the leaf filters removed and they would place them near my garage door as Collis would not put them back on. I was not happy. I called my gutter company and hired them to come out when the roof was completed to put back on. When the gutter company came out, the owner (Travis) told me the front gutters had been removed and renailed back into place. They were not level and they could not repair and that they could not honor the warranty on the gutters. He also contacted Dustin who said he shared with his manager. I never heard again. The second issue was really bizarre. A few days after the roof was finished, I began having issues flushing the toilet in the north side of the house. I was moving and my partner had to have surgery and was basically bedridden for the two weeks before our closing after his surgery, so I was alone in dealing with everything. The toilet began to overflow when flushed and water began backing up in that bathtub. One evening around 10 pm I was washing clothes (laundry room same side of house) and water gushed out of the toilet, out of the bathtub and flooded two bedrooms, the laundry room, the hallway, the bathroom and into the garage. The water had fecal matter, toilet paper and other. I was mopping trying to clean when it happened again, and then 30 minutes later again. I had a plumber come out at 11, he turned the water off. He told me that when the washer was draining it was causing the flooding as all connected to same blocked pipe. He came the next day and took his camera on the drain snake and came upon a knife looking metal object many feet away in the pipe under the dining room area. He was able to retrieve it. It was a Stanley shingle cutting tool. He said the new largest vent on the roof was directly above where the tool was in the pipe and the only way it could have gotten there is one of the workers dropped into the vent. I did take pictures of it and sent to Dustin. It cost me over a thousand dollars and that does not include the hundreds I paid to the gutter company to put the leaf filters back on and the loss of the warranty for the new owners. I moved in early June. I did inform the owners of all. So Collis was fabulous and these two huge issues for me were unique and probably would rarely occur. The stress and clean up was the worst and hiring help with my partner deathly ill in one of the bedrooms that flooded.
