Originally called Safeway Safety Step, LLC, CleanCut was founded by Don Stafford. As a 37-year retired veteran of the City of Cincinnati Fire Department, Don had identified firsthand the need for easier access to enter and exit the bathtub area.
Don had a vision to create simple access to existing bathtubs without having to remove the tub and perform a costly bathroom remodel. Don applied for and was successfully awarded a U.S. Patent for his innovative process and product.
Today, CleanCut is second-generation family business that continues to develop innovative accessibility products. Our products have been installed for homeowners, assisted living and senior living residences, state and local social programs and hospitality properties throughout the United States.

Installer cancelled the first time bc his vehicle broke down. Rescheduled for a week later. Cut was on a 1960s cast iron tub. Iron filings EVERYWHERE, putting rust stains on toilet base, toilet seat, flooring, caulk, tub interior, grout lines.. Awful mess that took me hours just to make the bathroom marginally functional.Have to recaulk; replace toilet seat; toilet appears permanently stained. Haven't tried to clean up the tub itself yet with CLR but it didn't work on the (1 year old) toilet. There's even dark smudges on the new tubcut. Nice kid but "done in a couple hours"? Maybe for you, but not for the consumer.

Manny was great at explaining everything from installation to using the product, answering my questions, and generally a really pleasant young man. I highly recommend a CleanCut option over a full tub to shower remodel. I can now get in and out of the tub easily and safer without having to do a full, expensive remodel.

Additional Comments - The Clean cut company has products to convert your tub to a walk through. combine their product with a tub transfer tub seat by others and you have a safer way to get in and out of the bathtub. JJ did a wonderful install and the office staff was very friendly and informative. Give them a call for a safer way to use your existing bathtub. I am so thankful I found the company from edwin sandel callahan fl.

The product design seems very good, but I will need some time to determine durability and long term sustainability. My problem was with the install. Installer issues resulted in two rescheduled appointments, but on the 3rd try we did get it installed. The install took nearly 5 hours on that 3rd day and, while thankful it was installed, there were some issues with the end result. The metal debris from cutting the (cast iron) tub was not sufficiently cleaned up prior to inserting the cutout piece and applying caulking. As a result, the white caulking has dark iron debris imbedded at multiple areas. They are unsightly now, but will get worse as they will rust. I think the installer used dirty fingers to smooth the caulking, which made matters much worse as not only did that spread the iron bits, but it caused the caulking to look very uneven and unprofessional.

They double-booked our installation, which they realized days ahead, and rescheduled us with plenty of notice. And to compensate us for their mistake, we were given a $150 discount on the quoted price of installation.

Additional Comments - We were delighted with the installer, Jacob. First, he was on-time. He explained the conversion process in terms we understood, presented the options clearly and let us know what he was doing without being intrusive. He was a well-behaved, knowledgeable professional who was as kind and gracious as he could be. We wished that every worker who came to our home could be as personable and pleasant as Jacob.

I was disparate to find a solution to an easy access for my elderly parents to the bath tub without risking their lives stepping over it and having to pay thousands of dollars. I found CleanCut's ad in one of the social medial and loved the idea. I called to set an appointment and the job was done within a couple of hours. my parents loved it and so did I. Cost and payments were very easy and flexible. I highly recommend it for anyone to consider this amazing concept
