Originally called Safeway Safety Step, LLC, CleanCut was founded by Don Stafford. As a 37-year retired veteran of the City of Cincinnati Fire Department, Don had identified firsthand the need for easier access to enter and exit the bathtub area.
Don had a vision to create simple access to existing bathtubs without having to remove the tub and perform a costly bathroom remodel. Don applied for and was successfully awarded a U.S. Patent for his innovative process and product.
Today, CleanCut is second-generation family business that continues to develop innovative accessibility products. Our products have been installed for homeowners, assisted living and senior living residences, state and local social programs and hospitality properties throughout the United States.

I chose not to have the insert. I love the ease of installation. Our installer was so efficient and explained each step. I couldn’t be happier.
I also added the study handle for extra safety. We are in our 80 ‘s and need all the extra safety features to live independently.
I have recommended this process to family and friends. So happy to have had this done. Thank you CleanCut bath.

The process from ordering to installation was smooth and seamless. Everyone I spoke with was personable, helpful, and knowledgeable about the product line. Due to some mobility issues, it was harder to access the tub safely, but the Clean Cut product we chose has changed all of that. The fact that the product could be installed so quickly, without major disruption, and at such a reasonable price were huge helps.

He listened to our concerns and what we hoped to achieve with the Clean Cut product and performed the install to maximize achieving our goals. Chris was personable, efficient, and his clean up job was much appreciated.

Richard was professional, courteous, and clearly highly experienced. He completed the installation beautifully in just a few hours, and we were especially impressed when he mentioned that it had been quite some time since he had worked on a 100-plus-year-old cast iron tub such as ours.
Like many homeowners, we regularly see television advertisements promoting full “one-day” bathroom conversions that require removing the existing tub and completely rebuilding the shower walls and floor. What CleanCut offers is, in our opinion, an exceptionally practical and cost-effective alternative—particularly for homeowners like us who have only one bathroom and simply cannot tolerate the disruption, demolition, expense, and days or weeks of having a bathroom torn apart.
The reaction here in Los Angeles has been remarkable. Rick already has clients who are now making arrangements to have similar installations after seeing our finished project. Even contractor friends of ours—who initially advised against the concept—were genuinely amazed once they saw the final result. Several commented that they had no idea something this effective could be done with an existing cast iron tub.
We truly believe CleanCut has tremendous potential in the Los Angeles market and would likely generate significant interest with even modest local advertising.

I encourage anyone with a cast iron or vinyl tub to consider CleanCut rather spending thousands to replace the tub with a walk-in shower. There is also a convertible option that allows continued use of the tub. Best decision I made for a parent who could no longer safely lift their leg over the tub. Excellent customer service and the installer was a pro from start to finish.

Additional Comments - Highly recommend clean cut baths. Excellent five star experience from start to finish. Installer and salesman were very professional knowledgeable and friendly. Great product and a lot less expensive than having a bathtub to shower conversion.

I like everything about this company. It was easy to set up and appt. All my questions were answered. The woman I spoke to was lovely. The installer, Jason, arrived on time, explained the process, and answered my questions. After he finished, he cleaned up behind himself. What I have now is easy access into my bathtub. And the fitting looks great. I really like CleanCut Bath.
