Originally called Safeway Safety Step, LLC, CleanCut was founded by Don Stafford. As a 37-year retired veteran of the City of Cincinnati Fire Department, Don had identified firsthand the need for easier access to enter and exit the bathtub area.
Don had a vision to create simple access to existing bathtubs without having to remove the tub and perform a costly bathroom remodel. Don applied for and was successfully awarded a U.S. Patent for his innovative process and product.
Today, CleanCut is second-generation family business that continues to develop innovative accessibility products. Our products have been installed for homeowners, assisted living and senior living residences, state and local social programs and hospitality properties throughout the United States.

The product is wonderful and does ease the entrance into the tub. However, what I would suggest is that the installer bring a small vacuum with them and give the bath a once over with it when they are done. I was not prepared for the white dust mess left behind. Since I am betting most jobs will be with seniors, I'm sure it would be appreciated. I would also suggest that if the home office must talk with their employee, they wait to do so between jobs. I felt very disrespected as if my time was not worthy of being honored.

I worried about falling with the difference in floor and the tub in getting out of the tub. Then when my hip started being a problem I had to act. Now I have no problem.
The installation was fast, the installer checked my tub recommended the one my tub needed. Had a template to show how it would look and why he selected that insert. He was so professional and quickly got the insert done and everything cleaned up. Explained I had to wait 48 hours to use the tub and all that was left was settle the bill.

Additional Comments - I would recommend the CleanCut bath insert to everyone. So much cheaper than a total tub replacement - something I couldn't afford. It is attractive and most of all gives you the safety of an easy way in and out of your tub.
