Since our founding in Clearwater, the YMCA of the Suncoast has grown from its first facility in 1965 to its newest in Citrus County in May 2016. At the time it opened, the Clearwater YMCA was one of the largest YMCAs in the country. In more than 60 years, our footprint has not just grown, but flourished and made an impact on the communities we serve, especially in youth development. In the ‘80s, we introduced before- and after-school child care to our service areas. Today, we guide more than 60 school-age programs in your elementary and middle schools. Hide

I have very often recommended the Y to friends. When family comes to visit I take them to the pool and everyone loves it.

You need to add more classes in late afternoon/evening. When I miss out on a class due to a scheduling conflict, it's very hard to find another to make it up.

My visit to the Y is the high point of be my day.
I never fail to feel happy and energized after my Silver Sneakers classes, and I supplement it with yoga on the weekends.
The instructors are caring and motivated.

The new equipment is not friendly. There is no fan on tread mills. Placement of equipment seems jumbled.

It's a gym. A place to work out. The price is reasonable and-equipment is adequate,. However, since I am legally blind the new addition of equipment with computer screens that I can't interpret does me no good and removes a large space that otherwise might have equipment I could use.
