I had a difficult instal integrating a new array with a 15 year old existing system. This caused some difficulties and delays, but ultimately it got done.

Cascade Solar did an excellent job. They were very supportive in troubleshooting issues that I would question or fine. They were excellent at documentation so that we could get the process going correctly with the power company. They had my back in documentation to show that my system was up and running before the end of the year. They worked with me to make changes to our project as we progressed, for example realized we needed to increase battery capacity. They are wonderful at their job excellent supportive people.

The crew was very professional. They kept me posted as their installation progressed. They were done ahead of schedule. They were very knowledgeable in their tasks.

Cascade Solar provided a good description and explanation of the overall process. Thomas Crowe answered my many questions prior and during his site visit to discuss the solar array. Tom also assisted in providing my HOA with the information they required to permit me to install the solar array. Cascade Solar provided a clear design plan and associated costs and submitted the required paperwork to the various entities (Energy Trust of Oregon, PGE, city, & county) for energy bates and permits for installation of the solar array. The installation crew were respectful of our property and was able to complete the installation in only a couple of days. A couple of items that arose after the installation were addressed and resolved by Cascade Solar. Overall, an excellent experience.

Great service, great price, and quality products!

The company was professional and delivered as promised without any hard sell. I spoke with other companies and they were either super pushy or gave me information that was unrealistic. All the employees were excellent to work with and super respectful of my time because I work nights. I have only had the system running for a few months but am completely blown away by the savings and energy production. They also did a huge electric/transformer upgrade and install and I am completely happy with all this work. Overall, can only say positive things about them.

Super proficient and got to work without any needing anything from the homeowner

Cascade is a small company and do all the work themselves (apparently most companies contract out a lot of the work). They were great to work with; spent a lot of time in person and by email discussing and answering my questions. The sales guy really knows his stuff and answered in great rechnical detail whatever questions I asked (and I asked a lot). There was a meeting after installation to show us about the equipment and how the app worked.Follow up questions were answered fully. We also felt really comfortable with them.

Once the project got started, almost four months after our initial payment, staff members were excellent in answering our questions, installing the battery and apparatus and explaining how to utilize the system. Apparently there was an issue in obtaining a Powerwall 3 so instead we went with a Franklin. Actually, we are pleased that we did not purchase a Tesla product at the time.

Cascade Solar was really easy to work with. We worked on two projects with them. The initial installation of the solar panels and the secondary installation of more solar panels and batteries. Both times Cascade Solar was easy to work with, professional, and did a fantastic job.

Cascade Solar was professional and great to work with. Although we had several issues throughout the process, they were honest and forthcoming about the issues at hand and the solution to each issue.

It was a great experience with great communication from Cascade Solar.

First of all, I considered Cascade Solar because of a personal recommendation from a neighbor. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't have been in the mix. But that alone wasn't enough. In the end, Cascade Solar offered me the best design and the best equipment, along with the most attentive support (I dealt directly with the owners, not some low-level sales person or construction foreman), and all of that together put them above the other vendors. (One of the other vendors was national, and the other "finalist" was a bigger, regional vendor.)

Solar is a BIG purchase, but Cascade Solar made it a transparent, honest one with skill on install, flexibility in scheduling, a competitive price per watt compared to most, and access to a lender specializing in green lending at market or slightly-below market rates. They communicated great throughout and the process is more streamlined with them than two other firms installing for different friends of ours were.

Our experience with bidding firms was wildly divergent - from “that big firm” that felt like dealing with a bot, to other mid-tier firms that frankly padded their bids (one firm quoted the same price for final install that we had for CS, but for 60% the array size!).

Our Enphase system is performing as advertised and the backup Powerwalls give us a bit more assurance in outages which have become all-too-common in PDX winters.

They got us to a reasonable cost per watt installed with high-quality components, took care of the permitting and inspections, and did a final walk-through meeting to test our system performance and make any adjustments needed.

If you are considering solar, give these folks a call. There are a lot of shady characters looking to make a mint on folks not doing their due diligence. Cascade Solar is local to PDX and absolutely worth your time to consider!

Overall, it has been a great experience working with Cascade Solar and team. Tom was exceptional in giving me quotes and design of exactly what I wanted. He was never pushy and gave me a competitive price but never compromised on the quality of panels and microinverters. Nicole did all the paperwork including all incentives and permits with no hiccups. David and his team installed the system in a couple of days and the work was high quality and clean. Their communication was excellent and answered my million questions quickly.

Throughout the process, the timing of each step of the job was super quick and from the quotes to net meter install everything was over in 40 days.

I wanted to work with local company for a more personalized experience and they gave me exactly that.
