I understand that a pan is required to be placed under the water heater. I don't have one. The water is exceptionally hot - it previously had been set a little less hot. There was a dark stain left on my hall runner left by the old water heater being taken out.

I just got leaf filter gutter guards, steel mesh, 2 months ago. Now that it's fall there are leaves piled up on top, stuck with rain, etc. What to do?

is it standard to hold a cooling unit up by a belt to prevent it from leaning? this belt slipped and was tighten to again to prevent it from leaking
