The communication was horrible. They were supposed to start on Monday 5/18, they no called and no showed. I had to call them to find out that they were still on their last job and would start the following day. The following day they called a rain day even though there was no rain at all that day. They again didn't show up on Wednesday, so I called again, and they claimed they were still finishing up the job from Monday, but would be there first thing Thursday 5/21. They showed up on Thursday at 8am but then left again by 9am without ever speaking to us or letting us know what was going on. I had to call for a 3rd time to find out what was going on, was informed that they attempted to start the work without the city inspector's approval, and the inspector needed to be there during the initial tear-off to see the decking materials below the shingles. I'm not sure why they didn't have everything scheduled with the inspector already as this delayed them another day until Friday 5/22. Once they did start, the crew worked that Friday from 8am until 1pm, and then the following Monday through Sunday, also only from 8am - 1pm every day.
This is not the first roof I've had replaced on houses I've owned, and what should have been a fairly straight forward 2ish day job, turned into over 2 weeks due to a couple of rain days that did happen during that timeframe.
They were very professional, and I did not have any problems.
While the quality of the work was amazing, communication up to that point was lacking.
We used C&L Ward for windows and have been pleased with the quality and workmanship, so when we needed a roof, that's who we gravitated to.
I would recommend based on the quality of installation and quality of Andersen windows. I would caution a potential buyer to be very sure that they have chosen windows and especially trim that replicates what they currently have.
Poor, frustrating experience
Overall, good experience, other than rain delay
I think C&L Ward did a very good job. I'd recommend them to anybody.
Prompt appts initially. I like the accountability using their own work teams and staff. Quality of work was stellar.
Everyone was professional, courteous and left the house clean.
I would not hesitate to recommend C&L Ward. If you want quality and an easy experience give them a call
The final product was high quality but it took two trips out to fix the issue with the original installation.
at the point we decided to change the outside color of the door, we were shown colors from a pamphlet brought to us by the men who came to take measurements, & C L Ward online website. when the door arrived, i said to myself, "i would never have chosen that color!" working with the manager, trying to resolve our issue, it became apparent that the colors in the pamphlet & the website do NOT match the color of paint chips we were shown by Freddie Armstead, who came to color match the door with his chips. his chip totally matched the door, however, the chip did NOT match the pamphlet or the websites color. it was noted in conversation with the manager that we had not signed a certain "color match" form, when we did the color change.
nothing resolved the issue of our door not being the same blue, as we were shown at the time we decided to change color.
The care and effort in attempting to rectify a mistake was way beyond what I would have expected.
I won’t recommend you. You took too long, used too much black sealer on j channels. I picked up nails in driveway and on patio. Shrub in frt of house was broken.
I have already recommended them to my mother.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but I believe we could have gotten the same quality installation from many other siding installers. Probably at a lower cost. My thinking was that C and L Ward was a premium installer. We were willing to pay for that.
The quality of the work and everyone we worked with from Ryan, Chad, Brittany and Justin and his crew and the person that installed our gutters, were professional, conscientious and super helpful!
At every stage, from the salesperson, to the schedulers, to the installers, everyone was professional, knowledgeble and good communicators.
Work ethic and quality
From the initial visit to the installation everything about our window project was professional and first class.
From start to finish, completely satisfied! Measurement, consultation, coordination, reminders, install crew, follow-up, etc. - all excellent!
Good service except installation later than expected. Winter put it off a bit
C&L Ward had very poor communciation throughout.
High pressure sales; job wasn't communicated well to subcontractor so parts needed redone; I was frustrated by the whole process, and I had to keep reminding them to fix things that we had already discussed. And the fixing/getting things done took awhile. 2 small things never got finished because I was over it. My roof does look good though and seems to be holding up well.
