The closing was very pleasant. Kern is fantastic with the clients. Also, the appointment was at 1:00. At 2:15 we weren't funded. I texted the loan officer ( I am on the listing side) about why wasn't it funding and asked where the wire was. Said they were checking. Then nothing. I had a pay at close in place and also had to be back in Grant Park for a 4:00 meeting and as time was going on, traffic was building and a 40 minute drive was become closer to an hour.
At 2:45 traffic to the city continuing to build, I walked into the attorneys office to say I had to leave and she informed me that the lender had put the wrong closing date on the documents and the buyer had to re-sign. That's a first for me . (We, at the lenders urging, had changed the closing date from the 17th to the 15th and they put the original closing date on the docs)
Not the end of the world, although I'm sure it wasn't fun for Kern to redo her work, we arranged for them to overnight my check to my house and gave them my address.
It closed around 3:30. Things happen, things get missed. Happens to the best. That is not my beef at all. I have done quite a number of transactions with C and B at the Intown office and absolutely love it. Today at 4:35, I returned home and had not received the check I expected at my house and it concerned me. When I called, I was informed that it was not sent out yesterday and still was sitting there as Fed ex doesn't come until 5 when the office closes, which tells me they could have gotten it out.
I realize it's a first world problem and not a tragedy, and also, after yesterday, it was annoying. Managing expectations is important. When someone says overnight that means tomorrow and in my opinion, especially after the docs being wrong and causing me a longer drive and to be late, I would have taken the extra consideration of a phone call, letting me know the check would not be going out until the following day and that would have been fine. I will always enjoy closing with C and B and even though I am almost never in L'Ville doing business, I would always return.

Over the top execution on our closing. There was a lien issue that was dissolved quickly and we closed in 10 days with over a holiday weekend.
Professional, precise and was very welcoming for my first time home buyers! Will definitely close here again if I have the opportunity!
KYLE!!! there are not enough words to explain all Kyle did to get this over the line.
Always a great experience with C&B Alpharetta!
The Intown location was easy to access, ground floor, welcoming reception area. Closing process was smooth and easy, my client, who were first time home buyers had their mothers attend and they too appreciated the environment and how quick the process was, which gave us more time to head to the house to formally congratulate our new home owners!
This was not a great experience. I have closed with other locations with a seamless process. The closers are not great at gathering necessary info in a timely manner to move forward a closing on time. They also lack knowledge and empathy. My seller overpaid at closing for HOA fees and was told to reach out directly to an how where he no longer owns the home to ask for reimbursement. The entire journey was unacceptable. This location does not uphold the high standards of the Campbell and Brannon name.
