We used Buffalo Restoration for a burst pipe about 15 years ago with great success. However, this time the truck-mounted water extraction machine did not work at all, and a second truck was not called. Much more water sat on our carpets overnight than should have, resulting in stubborn stains that took a second (deep) cleaning to remove. And while 2 people were sent out on the first emergency call, only one person was sent out the following day to pull off baseboards, lift carpets and remove the pad. And I had to help that one person move a heavy piece of furniture that sat on wet carpet overnight! It's obvious that most people have all carpet, pad and interior trim replaced through their reconstruction program (which gains Buffalo Restoration an additional 10% over the cost of their subcontractors), but we would have appreciated just a bit more care in preserving our original carpet and solid wood trim. Overall, their people, professionalism and willingness to help me understand my options is what made the difference in this experience. But this could have been a glowing 5-star review with just a few changes.

Response to my cat 3 catastrophe was handled with immediacy I didn’t know existed these days. The team knew exactly how to deal with the situation. There was no idle hands or gawking at the job at hand.

This was our first experience with this type of situation and they answered our questions in a timely manner. They accomplished the job and were very thorough .

Buffalo was very responsive to our initial request and laid out some of the steps in mitigation and remediation. I felt they were thorough and serious about completely resolving the problem and effects of the water leak.

They came right away when we had an immediate water leak. They kept on the drying process until it was resolved. Their staff are kind and helpful!

Overall it was a very frustrating process. Buffalo Restoration and my insurance co (State Farm) did not work well together. The water leak was on June 21st, and we are still dealing with the last few items of the process. My husband and I really don't understand what went sideways when. We had a water leak about 10 years ago, and it was a simple process to have it fixed. But this time -- Even with insurance covering at least $10K we are going to be out of pocket at least $13K and possibly $20K depending on whether or not State Farm covers the last item.

They were very responsive, professional, and got the job done without any problems.

I had a comedy of errors with Buff Rest, that wasn’t so comedic. My small project took way longer than expected due to incorrect flooring installation, removal/destruction of my extra flooring from the house and not being refunded in a timely way for having to shell out personal funds for replacement product. I am a business owner and understand that mistakes happen, but this was just too many for me to recommend Buffalo Restoration going forward. I did appreciate the manager working with me to knock down my bill after all of the inconvenience.

I definitely would recommend Buffalo Restoration to any friend, feeling quite comfortable that they would receive excellent service.

Almost 10 months to get the job done. First repair guy made a mess and did almost nothing. No follow up on progress to check on repairs. I had to call and complain. I am still waiting for Buffalo to communicate with Hartford Ins. with what I paid them so I can get reimbursed.

Everyone was nice. With that said, multiple people working on one job caused a lack of communication and follow-through. Had two different opinions of the work involved, paperwork still hasn’t been processed so our insurance company out the claim in a suspended mode until they get the paperwork.
I feel like the job should have taken a couple weeks, but almost 2 months later here we are. I had de-humidifiers running 24/7 for close to 4 weeks. I think they forgot about them, which caused our electric bill to sky rocket.
I had to probe to get work that should have been done, done.
All in all, I would not recommend to anyone.

The Buffalo Restoration team was quick to respond when we needed them. They expertly assessed the potential water damage to our building from a burst main and immediately brought in techs and equipment to completely dry out flooded areas.

The people from Buffalo Restoration are wonderful. Some of their subcontractors didn't do the work that they were supposed to do.

Thank you to Buffalo for their work cleaning up our water leak. it was a pleasure to work with everyone, and we were very pleased with the final results! Communication was professional, organized, prompt, patient with lots of questions and courteous. I will definitely call them again if we have a leak or other situation that requires professional cleanup.

It is best to be involved in the decision making and maintain communication with the technicians and a manager if necessary. Always keep track of who comes to your location when and what was done.

Seems I was always calling to find out what happens next. They were a little pushy when it came to wanting a storage pod placed at the property, but I finally got through to them that I didn’t want a pod here until the flooring was in town & I had a date for it to be installed.

I was charged at least 50 percent more than I was quoted with no communication about the additional charge. This is completely unacceptable.

They are very quick to act and very clear on instructions.

After mitigation was done we found additional moisture and mold and am dealing with additional demo and damage because it wasn’t taken care of correctly the first time.

They were slow to respond to estimates, follow up information, disorganized and late with different contractors that they use, dragged on the insurance communication proceess, did not finish certain parts of the job, hard to work with.
