I appreciate that the caregivers pick up my child when they are upset. They are also kind and patient.

I’d probably recommend to others with young children. However, my kids are 8 and 10 and when they go in the mornings there are only very little children and the older kid area with age appropriate activities is closed, so they have nothing enjoyable to do.

I’ve only taken my child to the kids zone a couple of times within those times I had 2 kids be mean to mine on two separate occasions. Although I know this can happen in a multiple kid environment however there was only 2 staff members to about 20+ kids in one room. There wasn’t enough space for all the kids or enough staff to keep an eye on the kids. Neither time did a staff member pay attention to the incidents. The second time a staff member picked up the kid who tried to bite my kid and tried to take the toy from my kid. Staff removed the kid from the situation however mine was crying and there was no attention given. I ended up getting my own kid to comfort. I’ve also noticed the floors being very dirty, a bandaid on the floor without being picked up, inappropriate sized toys in the baby area such as a small ball could have been choked on. I removed it and handed it to staff they seemed unbothered. There’s not really a secure why of containing kids yes there’s baby gates that older kids can open and let babies out. There needs to be age appropriate areas separated and more staff, not inexperienced kids watching kids.

It would be helpful to extend the child area hours to include Sunday and an extra hour in the evenings on weekdays.

Often the tube playing area is closed. Or they remove the children and close it while they’re playing. Also, my 6 month old child cries when I’m gone and they call me immediately and have me com get him. I can’t work out.

I love taking my son to the daycare. It is one of the few places in Olympia/Tumwater that has a daycare in the gym. All the workers there are also so kind! There are a few things I would suggest for improvement: I wish the under 2 year old area open more. I also think the tall play ground area should be restricted. My son went up there and was stuck since it is too old for him which could be dangerous. I also think the play area needs more sanitation since my son got sick the first few days going there. Overall though I really appreciate the program!

It's clean, staff àre friendly, and my child loves going to it.

The kids are always excited to go to the kid zone. The staff has without exception been friendly, attentive and quick. The kid zone is a MAJOR benefit at the Brigg's Y and we feel very thankful for all the people who contribute to making it such a great resource. Thanks!

My kid loves it, the kids are pretty packed in there so I wouldn't recommend this to someone worried about their kid getting sick.

My only complaint is with the checkout system. I wish there was a way to scan the child out instead of just asking for them. It makes me worried some random person could look through the window and read my child’s name tag and then go ask for them. My child may just be too young.

I have received a call the last 2 times to pick up my child due to crying. I have been unable to work out and now am hesitant to even use kid zone and therefore considering canceling my membership.

Just having a break for 30 minutes to do a set is fantastic and they are always looking forward to the kid zone.

Could be cleaner. The bathroom usually smells and dust bunnies everywhere so worries mee about the toys being clean.

The staff is wonderful, the space is always cleaned and disinfected , my child always enjoys themselves.

There's a lot of kids to few staff

Having more hours of availability especially on Sundays would be fabulous. The hours for the gym itself make it hard enough to come let alone trying to figure out how to get there with a child.

This place is clean, the staff is respectful and friendly and my daughter loves it here.

My kids always have fun and the check-in/out is always smooth. It's so nice to have somewhere to drop my kids off so I can exercise.

Be open more often especially on weekends

I am not able to utilize it as much as I’d like because of the limited hours. Keeping it open until 8pm would be SO nice, as the class I enjoy going to goes from 7-7:45 on Mondays and Wednesdays. please consider extending the hours slightly (or move classes up to match the times child care is offered)
