Consistency on check-in procedures for front desk and brining
Great community, friendly people
There are not enough words, especially adjectives, to describe all the things I like about the Y: very friendly staff & instructors, affordable, hours/days availability, clean facilities, good locations, available parking. SEE? I am running out of space & words. THANK YOU!! P.S. Lesli is GREAT!!-
There have been times that parking is only available offsite and some times the open swim has not available lanes.
The Y is a great place. Safe and friendly with a good variety of options. It is also easy to get to
The small group training option is perfect!
I really appreciate stalls for changing in the locker room
Receiving this membership as a part of my retirement health care benefit is amazing!
The pool hours were difficult to understand (when is it open, how many lanes are open, do you need a reservation, etc.) Staff often seemed confused by the scheduling as well. Pool was almost always crowded.
The parking situation at this y is terrible. I have limited opportunity to access the why and I have had multiple times I have shown up and had absolutely no where to park.
The swim lesson communication is disorganized
This is definitely my happy place! Great facility! Wonderful staff! Great friends to workout with! Lots of different programs to choose from. The place to be!!! Body, mind and spirit!!! Look your best, feel your best. Live your best life!!!
Good equipment
I like the Nia Classes and the facilities are great.
I recommend it to people often over other local facilities. The Y has a generally healthy community atmosphere and a lot of great activities.
Clean facility and great customer service!
The cleaning staff need to do a better job with their time. I often see them just walking back and forth instead of sweeping the big gym, emptying the trash cans that are full, and/or seeing the place with a critical eye. When I have mentioned something needs to be done, I have have been met with a blank stare.
clean site, friendly staff, and good hours.
The Monday
class for seniors is exceptional.
Variety of classes. Pool. Yoga options and levels
The staff is friendly
Amazing instructors and life guards
Parking. And I usually go to the downtown Y. It’s more convenient for me.
It is a really nice place to go for a workout because every thing is clean.
All the different classes offered
Great climbing wall experience with 8 year old grandchild.
I appreciate the caring of all trainners that I met in Pilates, Gentle Yoga, Boddy Pump, they care genuily for their students. I love to pass time with my family and working out as a family is bringing us together. My son is taking swiming classes, chess and will take a basketball clinic from July 20th to 24th.
Parking is terrible. Need more day time swim lessons available, the 5am wake up to try to get into swim lessons doesn’t work for everyone.
The rock wall and open climb times area great! The kid zone is good, and I’m excited to see the new climbing structure. All the kids programs are great.
There are a lot of amazing activities!
The friendly enviroment.
So far I really have enjoyed my membership. I do find the schedule a bit limiting in things im interested in, and i find it hard to discern whether classes offered are something i would enjoy or whether it would be too difficult or too easy for my skill level. I also have not had as much of an opportunity to explore all available options yet. However, the staff have been very welcoming, the facilities are very clean and well kept, and there are a lot of options available.
Great locker rooms. Clean pool. Excellent weight room. So much to take advantage of and be healthy
Inviting place
Everyone is very friendly and helpful
Shower/restrooms and locker room area are not up to heathy and clean standards. I wonder if the Thurston County Health Department makes inspections of the Shower area.
Weight machines need a little TLC.
How can there be talk of a new enlarged and modern Lacey YMCA when the current Briggs YMCA needs a remodel and updated facilities.
Last but not least least, does the Briggs management inspect the facility before opening for the paying members.
Who supervisor the custodial staff?
I have visited the YMCA buildings in Maui, Missoula and Gig Harbor. As a original life
long member of the Briggs YMCA, I am disappointed.
There's a variety of exercise for everyone. I enjoy the classes offered
The women's showers are dismal. They stink, they're mildewy , and the water turns off after 8 seconds, so we have to keep pushing the button over and over. Not to mention the water pressure. Why wasn't the plumbing fixed before the lockers? I'd rather have old lockers and old counter tops and new showers.
Bigger cardio room gets to crowded for member price sometimes equipment not available, it also takes time for front desk to scan badge cause they are busy and a lot of people are on tight schedules and want every minute they have to get the workout in. Most modern places have a scanner or phone scan, also some of the tvs don’t have all channels or the tv is fuzzy should not be a problem with connections or reception if offering tv which is very popular at any health club and a definite incentive.
I recommend the Y all the time!
The wide variety of classes, especially ones in the water, for retirees had me join and I did recommend to friends and they just joined last week.
Good teachers, great variety of activities for people of all ages, good hours, nice staff.
The staff are wonderful, the facilities are clean, and the hours are convenient.
I enjoy both Briggs and Plum Y as a regular part of my life. I love both water aerobics with Cindy, and, most especially, Aqua zumba.
It’s very small and few amenities to choose from. You can add options with another location but that even is inconvenient and still didn’t have many more options. The showers of a high school locker room is ridiculous. I’d like to take a shower for longer than 15-30 seconds at a time.
It is located in a nice area. Not too far from our home. The facilities are clean.
Helpful, friendly staff. Clean, modern facility.
I played pickleball. I enjoy the group and how organized it is. They all seem to be aware of the skills of others and try to make it a good experience for everyone on the court.
The layout is awful. Blame the architect
Great classes included in monthly membership fee
Convenient, not usually jam packed with other people.
