Emily the Certified Roofing Specialist was very knowledgeable and thorough. She explained all the details and the process of laying the materials.

Unfortunately your salesman wasn't available to speak to agreement we discussed with him. There were items nor present in the contract.

Provided that the issue with the skylights is resolved quickly.

The work was not done properly and there was an extreme lack of communication. Best Choice stated the issues were due to the manufacturer (Owens Corning) but we have filed a claim with them and all of that is still pending. The new contractor believes it’s shoddy installation work and not manufacturer issues which has continued to cause extreme hassle. I was overcharged for the roof and feel taken advantage of by the men.

They 1099 a bunch of guys that didn't have respect for the property. Their only goal was to get the job done, whether it was done right or not. They weren't happy about coming back out to fix their mistakes. They caused a lot of damage. A couple things were fixed. Things such as tar being wiped down the side of my house, landscaping being ruined, fascia board being dislodged, none of that was addressed after I was told they were looking into a way to make it all right. I have yet to check the house attic but I was upstairs in the garage and it does not look like they cut back the roof boards to give the proper gap for the ridge vent. Of course, none of this was inspected by management.

I had two large roofs replaced in 2025 (one is hickory nc, one in salisbury nc). I paid for the best warranties. Both properties had damage as a result of workers, especially at the hickory house. At my hickory house, I had damaged lighting, broken branches of bushes, my outdoor seating thrown off my back patio into my bushes (I am a 64 yo woman and had to move everything back myself), roofing nails everywhere (I have a full bucket that I picked up myself...and I had my rep come to my house to see the awful post job clean up). I had a flat tire on a vehicle, scrapes on another vehicle where there had debris landed on it and they just brushed it off. I have been repeatedly asking for my warranty info, only to find out that they never registered the info with owens corning. A year later, I still don't have both warranties. Where did that money go? The hickory house had excessive loss of granules on the roof after only a few months. Again I contacted my rep who told me that they were probably a "bad batch" but nothing was done about it. Very bad experience, especially at our hickory nc home.

It took me 6 months to chase down information on the roof warranty. That should NOT be the responsibility of the homeowner. I sent the roofer an inquiry about it every month and each time I received a response that they're looking into it; and I never received further information about the warranty. It wasn't until I threatened to report them to the state attorney general as fraudsters before they finally acted. (What happened to the extra 2 thousand dollars I paid them for the warranty?) Not only would I not recommend this roofer, I would not recommend Owens Corning shingles, either. Based on their slow-walking the warranty registration I can only image how they would drag their feet if I actually filed a claim on their shingles. This isn't rocket science. All Owens Corning had to do is enter a customer number into a database and email a form letter. That shouldn't take 6 months.

The only problem I had was it took two to three months to get the warranty paperwork. I don't know if it was Best Choice or Owens Corning or a software issue.

They don't stand behind what they say. No one has called me back to try and correct the problem.

My new roof leaked the very first hard rain! We have spoken to Jade and she scheduled someone to come to our home! This was supposed to be with a production manager! He did not show up! We called Jade again and she apologized! She rescheduled and again no one showed! My brand new roof, that we spared no expense, leaked immediately and continues to leak and we can’t seem to get any assistance from BCR in getting the problem resolved or BCR to honor the warranty!

I would highly recommend Best Choice Roofing for their professionalism, friendliness, time frame, answered all questions, always answered when I called to ask questions, they went far and beyond.

They did a good job. They didn t finish it. It was dopne in June. It is noiw in December. The work is not finished.
