I would recommend ATI because they are reputable company and I do feel better about them than the last company that I had fix a leak and complete the repair.

Very slow to rebuild

Date of Fire: Feb 1, 2024. It took over 2 years to restore my fire damaged home after I was told it would only take 9 months. Please note, there was a fatality, my husband from smoke inhalation on 02/25/24, and I felt I was taken advantage of. ATI was given a check directly from my insurance within a year of the date of loss. So I don't know why the 2yr delay. My property was untouched by ATI for a long time before restoration really began. I have photos.

The local "point of contact" had changed often too. I was never given the option to pick colors, cabinets or flooring. I met more with the sub contractor and only saw an ATI representative a couple times. He was like the 4th or 5th different point of contact. The Solar Panels are still attached to my roof. I was told they were damaged and would be replaced (?)

I basically trusted ATI because I lost my husband, who was a handy man/painter/plumber and he would have been helping restore had he survived. The loss goes beyond the fire damage. While the property's restoration was stagnant, it gave opportunity for squatters and thieves on several occasions. A Police report was filed but unfortunately, personal property that was kept in the back sheds were stolen & not covered by my insurance. The question is, "if the restoration had been completed within the original time frame, would I still have my property today?" Neighbors had witnessed thieves but police couldn't do anything without the homeowner present. A mute point, but a point none the less.

Dan Cicchino has been an excellent Project Manager. He has gotten good contractors to do the work.

Professionalism

The service was completed quickly and efficiently.

Very little communication throughout the process. It's been a month since anything has been done at all to fix my house. It shouldn't take months and months to get your house fixed. Absolutely horrible company to work with.

Professional, communicative, quality of work is superb not cheap looking and these individuals really take pride in their work.

It's been a challenge.. They send people who are not able to do things.
So, they have to done over and over.

My questions to the guy in charge are not answered.
The ONLY guy that was extremely qualified was Marco, the flooring guy. He did a superb job on the flooring in the 2 rooms.
We still have many cabinets to get installed, and a very long sink and vanity

ATI never completed the work, and I had called up multiple times. In fact, they were recommended by the insurance company to fix the bathroom leak for me. They just came in, did some remediation work, and then they said they'll come back to do the repair work, and then they said they'll have to get some estimates put together for the insurance company. I kept following up with them and did not get any answers. Ultimately, I called up the insurance company myself, and they asked me to get the work done through another party or by myself. It's just a horrible experience end-to-end, so to speak. We were without a bathroom for almost a year.

So far, ATI has been outstanding in every way. We will be happy to recommend the company and workers to anyone.

Staff was very professional and courteous. They were meticulous in their work, isolating the work areas in order to keep rest of the rooms clean.

Poor communication. Team left without returning my mirrors back to where they were supposed to be. Some good work in some phases but not great me having to chase for updates.

The first work done of dehydrating my house after a water leak was good. The restoration was a nightmare. I would never recommend someone go through the restoration nightmare with this company.

They have poor communication throughout the whole ordeal that I had with the problem with my house.

You did not just disappoint you horrified!! It took 106 days for you to complete a job that should have taken no more than 8 to 10 days! The lack of communication with your contact people in Pittsburgh is beyond the pale. The first person sent to make repairs did so much damage it took three days for another laborer from ATI to repair that damage. That same laborer was returned to work on the house but when he did show up he said he would not work because the company did not send someone to help him and then he would leave. He acted so strangely I told your representative I did not want him in our home. Also, weeks would go by before someone from ATI would came back to work on the job. For days, laborer supplies were stacked up in our dining room. When one of your workers did show up they arrived around 9:00 or 9:30 a.m., then took an hour for lunch, which under normal circumstances would be acceptable, but then they left by 2:30 p.m.. Very little would be accomplished in that short period of time. When asked, your own laborers told us that treating customers with such disdain was normal behavior for ATI as they themselves said they often were not returned to the same home to finish jobs in a timely manner but would be sent to another location to work. We had to endure waiting to have a bathroom vanity replaced twice as the manager did not take correct measurements and the bathroom mirror had to be replaced twice too because your workers broke it,. Your Managers were rude to us and lack communication skills and do not even communicate with one another. ATI is a nightmare!!! I will mention here that I do plan to let the Better Business Bureau know about our terrible experience with ATI. We are a couple in our 80's that you took extreme advantage of. You could see we were frail and instead of trying to make thing better for us you treated us terribly. Shame on you !My deepest prayer is that our paths never cross with ATI again.
