First off the heat wasnt working then the a/c was out for 2 weeks. I spoke to everyone and anyone and there was no sense of urgency at all. Finally the a/c was fixed and to our shock the attic was never insulated at all!!! They did send a company out to blow insulation into the attic rather quickly but how was this possible?! Was the attic never inspected. Now we worry and wonder about mold since the house was in the 80’s for about 2 weeks. Oh and still wondering where the garage door openers are… we never got those either. I am extremely disappointed with this whole ordeal. So no i would never ever recommend this company/builder to anyone… ever!!
I have been recommending them to everyone I know. They are very nice and kind, and they make things work for us. Savannah is excellent.
They are absolutely excellent. They visit the community in person, online or something else.
I have been in discussion about this with Nate. We paid 704k for a house which did not appraise. There are two trusses that had to be repaired. The built-ins we paid 10k for are not painted correctly and now have to constantly kick my pregnant wife out of the house to seal grout, get cabinets repainted, chips in the shower stalls and bathrooms I missed because I was not "allowed" is examine anything within 2 feet and no flashlights, etc. Also there is no way the painters did two coats of Cashmere (we paid for ungraded paint) on the house due to the chipping of the paint off the walls and steps which then exposes the primer underneath. Builder grade paint will peal and chip. Borderline showroom paint, if done correctly, should be paint that can be cleaned and will not chip. We are people who came out of pocket 153k for closing. Also there maybe a structure issue based off the wall in the bedroom. At this current time, I would not feel comfortable recommending this builder to anyone I know or any of the 8,000 patient's I treat, due to the quality of work of the subcontractors. I truly feel like I had 50k, if not more, stolen from me in this process. With that being said, Nate is doing everything he can to make this right. No one else seems to care once they got my money. I am having the same issues now that I did with my 280k DR Horton home in 2017. I thought Ashton Woods would have been different but everything done post November has been a headache. I came to this builder because others said they got great work and it was more custom. It started that way but in the end, it was the same track builder hogwash with unskilled subcontractors who can't paint properly (no blue tape, no plastic down on the floor - have picture of this this, missed spots, lines not cut in properly). Like this is going to be a 900k home after I finish the backyard, now I have to repaint the house after I paid for upgraded paint. As of right now, I could not put my name on recommending this company. Most people I know don't have the means to correct these issues, let alone bring 20% to the table, to turn around and feel like I do now. 704k is a lot of money, especially for Rolesville, but maybe the quality of work would have been to my standard if I was building in Apex or North Hills. Sorry for the rant but I could continue. Regardless, Nate is fantastic.
The quality control is poor.
This is the worst house I have ever bought the workmanship is poor I had 128 issues to repair for my 1 year inspection My electrical was not done properly and is still not fixed my hot water heater insulation is out of code my stucco has excessive cracking and no one wants to resolve the problems including Ashton Woods
Our concerns and expectations were listened too and great follow-up
Sales staff is wonderful to deal with, as well as the PM assigned to our build.
The home we chose is so well laid out.
The flow of the home is so comfertable.
You ran my home service electrical line right through the middle of my back yard , not in the easement, and then fought me for weeks about having to move it to accommodate my being able to use my back yard as I please. Literally you cut corners to save a few dollars and then buried the evidence. When caught, you told me this is just how we do things and attempted to pass the 6k cost of moving the line on to me.
The service during the sales process was good. However, the service for repairs after purchasing the home was not. They need to improve in that area because they said they would send someone to fix the issues, but no one arrived at the agreed-upon time.
Overall, the quality has been good & the people I have worked with have been great and care about their product. There is a lot of pride in their work
Ashton Woods is neither good nor bad.
The service is impeccable and we were made to feel like family!
Cadence and Joao both made the home buying and building process a great experience from start to finish. Cadence was extremely responsive, organized, and easy to work with on the front end, while Joao carried that same level of professionalism through construction with strong communication and attention to detail. Together, they made the process feel smooth, well-managed, and stress-free, and it’s clear they both take pride in delivering a quality home and a positive customer experience.
Feel they took a really nice house and added very cheap bath and shower stalls which in my opinion lessened the appeal of the home.
From start to finish, it was clear that Ashton Woods is a quality homebuilder that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family. During the process, we were treated like family. I didn't feel that we were just another sale. As a homebuilder, once I sign the contract with AW then I'm on the hook. Instead of just being flashy upfront, the care and quality continued through the buying process and in the weeks after. I truly feel like a part of the community and that AW has its customers best interests.
Less starlight and more Ashton woods homes in the subdivision.
Great attention to detail by the project manager Gus!
We felt very welcomed and could not sense any funny business throughout the entire buying process. We are also pretty pleased with the build quality of the new home.
We would absolutely recommend Ashton Woods to a friend. The home buying process was seamless from start to finish, and our agent kept us well-informed every step of the way. We truly love our home. The finishes are beautiful, and the overall quality exceeded our expectations.
Shortly After purchasing our new house we found out that there was no hot water . Filed a warranty claim and plumbers showed up and diagnosed the issue as crossed water piping . The house was plumbed incorrectly where the hot water went to the cold said and the cold water went to the hot side . My whole house was then cut open on numerous walls and on the concrete floor to correct the problem . As of today 3/27/26 , the repairs are still ongoing . We closed on our new house on Feb 12 .
We liked the open communication from Ashton Woods representatives and project managers during the build of the house. The design options were also plenty and we received good guidance from their design studio on our choices. However, there were a few structural features that were not communicated to us which we would have liked to add to the house had we known about them. Warranty requests were easy to submit but some requests required constant follow ups and our warranty representative kept changing through the year. No big issues with the house and other warranty concerns were fixed by Ashton Woods in a timely manner.
I have already recommended this community to a friend. Everyone involved was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with throughout the entire process.
The warranty process and lack of consistency has been poor. My father in law also saw the craftsmenship and poor quality of finishes on my driveway and inside my home and elected to purchase a home in another community after initially wanting an Ashton Woods home. Areas of opportunity included: poor landscaping and concrete work, uneven flooring with floating floor inside home, and chipped bricks throughout the outside of the home.
Quality and beautiful home. Perfect for a family. Friendly and communicative staff.
We had the best experience ever with Ashton Woods Homes, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire process. From day one, our sales representative, Lily Klein, made everything smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. She was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cared about helping us find the perfect home.
Our project manager, Katelyn Bracamontes, was equally amazing. Her communication, professionalism, and attention to detail were outstanding. She kept us updated every step of the way and ensured our home was built with expert craftsmanship and completed in a timely manner.
The final result? Our home is absolutely gorgeous. The quality, design, and overall build exceeded our expectations in every way.
We highly recommend Ashton Woods Homes, especially if you have the chance to work with Lily and Katelyn. They made this an unforgettable and truly wonderful experience!
Ashton Woods Homes has amazing staff in the sales office and even the foreman for them is great. They are very on top of things and very communicative.
I would absolutely recommend Ashton Woods Homes to friends and family. My experience was overall very positive, and the quality of the home, along with the professionalism of the team, especially Eric, Tanisha, and Addison, made a lasting impression. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and attention to detail truly set them apart.
Our 1 year new home warranty was very good, it was not difficult to put in warranty requests and they were always handled in a timely and efficient manner.
During the contract process, I was told that it wouldn’t be a problem to close later than we had discussed, and then was told that it was a hard date within the paperwork that I was going to lose my earnest money if we didn’t meet that date. So we scrambled and met the date.
Now 60 days after closing I’m still trying to get Ashton Woods to pay the 2026 homeowners association fee that was paid to them in the closing costs. And initially they told us well that was for the 2025 homeowners association. I didn’t own this house in 2025 because I closed on it in 2026.
We bought model home from Ashton Woods, we were sold this home as is. No cable outlets in the entire house, master bath entry door sagging, 2nd floor floors already creaking, outside faucet not secured to the house. Not impressed with Ashton Woods build quality.
More after losing care and communication.
The agent was knowledgeable and helpful
Bought a new build 2026 & dishwasher was not installed properly so the floors flooded, walls and island damaged by water. Warranty company taking way too long to get anything done. Not a great experience.
Well built home
The ease of the process was seamless. Support comes in the way of James Vasquez, who is available to help with home needs
They took care of a big problem that was click driving me nuts.
The overall experience has been great. Smooth, no pressure buying process, beautiful homes, great support from the staff, phenomenal warranties and attractive insurance rates.
Fantastic experience! Recommended moving here to friends and family and my family has actually purchased a home now!
Yes, I would absolutely recommend AW for its very modern and luxury style floor plans.
My two week in my new home, Hot water tank was not working, went to a family's member home to bathe and wash clot My home is a new built, however, to due the on going construction digging up ground for a sidewalk with at the end of property, my home began to fill with ants through out my unit. My refrigerator was installed with scratches on the door, I had to wait my first month for a new install of a replacement door. There is a huge blue ink or paint spot on the outside window pane that will no come out, which I will have to repant over. There is a spot on carpet that wa made by the cleaning service prior to moving which I'm going to have to live with or get the carpet replace.
I would recommend my friends to buy from AWH based on my experience. Had a great experience overall and loving my new home. Especially the design I decided on.
I absolutely loved everything about my Ashton Woods home and i've already recommended them to five of my coworkers and three of my friends.
I have already recommended the Builder. I haven't really been in long enough and unpacked to fully give you what is needed here. But so far so good.
Quality workmanship, nicely laid out community
I love the floor plans and the quality of the build. Mike and Cindy who work out of Lucas, Tx ( Inspiration Subdivision ) have been phenomenal to work with.
They are very good with the customer.
Design, functionality and building materials quality are well executed.
Craig, the salesperson, was very upfront and easy to work alongside. The home turned out beautiful.
