More transparency on house pricing. Posting houses at base price is borderline false advertising with the photos of fully upgraded houses.
No.
We are disappointed in the quality of the home as well as easements not being proactively communicated to us during the buying process. As for quality, what I mean is that 2 years into the build, our roof was leaking. After having an inspection we found that a significant part of the shingles are damaged and too much water was flooding into the flashing causing the leak. We’ve also had significant and persistent HVAC issues for the entire two years we lived here, often times being brushed off. After we continued to push, the hvac people would find a fix The quality we received has not been worth what we’ve spent and the headache this house has caused. We would not recommend to anyone to buy from Greentech.
GreenTech built us a quality home and followed through on all warranty work needed 1 year later.
So far the experience has been great.
We have already recommended Greentech to others. We have been impressed with the quality of houses we walked through and the accessibility of the sales representative.
Lack of integrity in quality work- both in landscaping and interior finish. Several things were done sloppily and we weren't living nearby at the time to check in and have things corrected in a timely manner.
Very easy to work with. Great communication. I love my house.
Sold me a home with a terrible foundation. Engineer told me it’s one of the worst he’s ever seen and that our home could fall one day.
Overall it was a great experience.
Everybody was responsive, professional and friendly.
Make selling an existing home come before committing to a green tech home.
Listing not exactly as described after building. Most lots in the neighborhood may have been flat and low maintenance but we were under the impression that ours would be made flat and it was not
We had a wonderful experience with Greentech Homes LLC and would highly recommend them to anyone building a home. From start to finish, the process was smooth, transparent, and well organized. The quality of the work, the professionalism of the team, and their commitment to customer satisfaction truly stood out. Our home was completed on time as scheduled, and the final product met our expectations.
Our overall experience has been actually very good - the PM was great, the general team we worked with was superb. Final product: 90% perfect, which I rarely ever give.
My only advice to new buyers: ENSURE YOU KNOW ABOUT AND REQUEST THE FREE DESIGN CONSULT.
Although we came in later in the process, we were "denied" an opportunity to meet with a design consultant before locking everything in. Items we would not have picked - lights for example "just accept for now and change later" to quote the selling agent are terribly old fashioned, something my late grandmother would delight in. "Change Later" consisted of a penalty charge and exorbitant cost for any changes (as we found out from the counter adjustment we considered) - so may as well be denied
Thus we still have around $2500 of things to do to what should be a complete home.
With all that said, I would buy again from Greentech without hesitation.
From start to finish Greentech was there supporting me and calming my anxiety! The home design is gorgeous and the community will be a model for others to try to duplicate
I would not recommend Greentech. They are not responsive to the customer needs. My house was not ready to close and I was told it had to close before the end of the year.
Process not finished yet. Should ask this question at the end.
Stellar experience!!! I am so proud of this team and how far we have come! This is by far the best GreenTech home I have ever purchased!
We love our home, we loved the design process, we love our community at Farmstead. Good home, good quality, good company creating an amazing experience.
We are pleased with the floor plan and quality of our home. I would absolutely recommend GreenTech to anyone planning to purchase a new home.
I think that there were some frustrations with the design process, mainly with some of the “upgrade” costs. Additionally, was pretty upset thay my brand new hard wood floors (that we paid extra to be installed in every room of house) were clearly walked on by other people (mud, dirt). The floors should have been covered and protection should have stayed in place until we moved in.
There were a number of things not done correctly. Had it not been for Melinda Fifield not sure what we would have done.
Many issues with the house that should have been addressed during construction.
Further options could have been offered to customize the home. Not design crap like paints or colors. Things that actually matter long-term: like the option to pay for / upgrade window quality; shingle quality. The ability to have 2 sinks in the kitchen. I could go on and on...
Good communication with client among sales and builder employees
After 1 year in my beautiful home punch list items have not been finished.
I felt like the process was very seamless. The team is cohesive and works very well together.
I’ve always heard nightmare stories from friends and family that have gone through the hime building process, but Green Tech has been phenomenal. They’ve gone above and beyond in every step of the process this far and have made our experience both pleasant and seamless. Can’t recommend them enough.
Good value for the square footage provided
Numerous quality problems with my home, poor communication from the warranty lady (Melinda), it took weeks and weeks to get help for a plumbing problem and eventually had to call the maker of my water heater and schedule my own outside plumber to come and diagnose and fix the problem which was extremely aggravating and reinforced that Greentech hires the cheapest tradespeople and does not care about quality. The community swimming pool was promised two summers ago and yet the community is still waiting, the pool has not even been started yet. Seems like false advertising. The streets in the community are in terrible disrepair and no effort has been made to fix multiple areas where the roads meet up with sidewalks that constantly flood and have standing water. Greentech sells substandard homes and does not care at all to fix things after they get their money from the home purchase. The carpet in one of the bedrooms was stained and noted before I moved in. I should have insisted it was replaced before I took ownership because it took months of dealing with Melinda and Wesley as they insisted that it be cleaned two or three times and of course the stain kept coming back, until finally they agreed to replace the carpet. That was extremely aggravating and another example of the poor customer service that Greentech provides. I absolutely regret my decision to buy a Greentech home. I had much higher expectations of this company and have been very disappointed. I am honest with anyone who asks my opinion.
I’ve had mostly positive experiences with the GreenTech process.
Best builder in Chattanooga.
As the year has gone by I have found more "cover ups" or lack of quality in the finish work. Door frames with splits in them than were caulked over vs no crack at all, our entire staircase was not sanded smooth and then stained and varnished. We have zero varnish and all of it has the texture of rough unsanded wood. The model home staircase 100% different than ours. Then their's holes under cabinets where no flooring exists. Our floor has separated in the kitchen now. Very "rough", chunky finish's using caulk like putty and the just slapping some paint on it. Last, no enforcement of HOA covenants and restrictions. I feel like I'm living in a light show , Mardi Gras community. The whim of someone to accentuate their exterior however they please will ruin everyone's values, not to mention the filthy condition of some of the yards.
Yes! Our experience with Greentech has been great. They definitely care about customer satisfaction and the quality of work is excellent.
Building process was fine until the end when Greentech tried to get out of redoing certain things, which I had be done incorrectly and not to a standard in which I asked them, would you be happy with this quality if this was your house? The response was "No, I would not be".
Excessive discrepancies, misleading and lack of communication, excessive flaws in workmanship and quality
GreenTech has not cut corners in trying to make Heritage Walk a family friendly, quality neighborhood. The amenities as planned and convenience of this neighborhood are first class!
They're not a good company. They just put the house together quickly, and you can press through the wall. It's not a good construction.
