Great people to work with.

Signed 8/19/25 for bathtub to shower conversion. Expected construction to begin in October. Had scheduling problems, missing items, and miscommunication.
No communication
1) My new window trim/frames are a different color and material than ALL the other exterior house trim that was installed LESS than a year ago by a different company. 2) Caulking was poorly done. 3) I completely paid my YHI loan off November 6, 2025...BEFORE the work was even begun...and just got charged an additional $620 January 6. This is totally unacceptable.
High pressure sales with inaccurate information for veterans. Poor response time.
The quality of the Windows versus the standard big box stores is what I liked
We have been engaged in a frustrating effort for ALMOST 2 YEARS to complete the installation of our windows and sliding doors. We are living with a subpar installation at great cost to us, and the entire process has taken FAR TOO LONG.
The original windows delivered to us were delayed and arrived with incorrect designs and incomplete features. The paint quality is laughable. The subs that showed up for installation told us that our request for trim was not part of the package, when we were told it was! During the installation, we noticed small dents on the exterior of the frames, the interior locking mechanisms were the wrong colors (some were missing entirely), the windows and doors arrived without screens, and the picture window screens on the interior side are dented from the subs messing with them. Additionally, the sliding doors wouldn’t lock, and the exterior hardware was the wrong color. To make matters worse, the installation team mounted the handles upside down and damaged the cheap locking systems.
We have also had to deal with 4-5 different sales and support representatives throughout this process. Every time a new rep/subcontractor would come in, we had to start all over to explain every single issue. Brandon, the latest support person, has been flying in from the Seattle area to help us resolve these issues. While he is nice and responsive, progress has been ridiculoulsy SLOW, and we are now facing recall notifications on all of the picture windows. THEY DO NOT CLOSE PROPERLY.
I am left to cover the costs of these horrendous mistakes. I have given Your Home Improvement Company of Spokane ample time to address these problems. The only thing to make this right would be monetary compensation for our wasted time and troubles. I have refrained from posting a negative online review up to this point. However, I am burdened by a debt that does not reflect the value of the materials and service we have received.
shower curtain doesn't stay in place
The whole process went smoothly. Both Andrew and Randy did superior workmanship. They explained what they were doing and why. Graydon presented the product very well and the process. All were friendly. A nice experience.
Took a year to finish the job and screwed it up! The shower walls are not to be up to the ceiling. The floor pan feels soft. And screwed up the wall in the water closet.

Original order of windows was incomplete. Took months for them to finally finish. Cant get them to do warrant work. Windows have a recall that I am not even aloud to open them and nobody will come to fix it. Within a year one of the windows has lost its seal and gets ice build up on the inside and again can’t get anyone to even call me back. I’ve called and complained many times but again nobody in my area will call me back. Worst $50,000 I’ve ever spent. Should have went with someone else.
The measurements of the existing vanity unit did not take into consideration how close to the wall it was, which resulted in the new unit having drawers that did not clear the door molding. The carpenter created a "workaround" by adding a piece of material and caulking it into place. He also had to re-cut the holes in the floor of the vanity (for the water lines and the drain) but did a good job on that. To make it mouse-proof (as requested) however, more caulking or foam will be needed.
Of more concern to me, however, was the fact that I discovered (shortly after the carpenter left) that the plumber had somehow (and it makes no sense to me) switched the feeder lines so that the hot water comes out of the right hand spigot, and the cold comes out of the left, unlike just about every similar unit in the US (and unlike my previous vanity as well). When I discovered this, I decided to see if anything else revealed itself to need correction, and I had been told that someone from YHI would contact me - within a week - to check my satisfaction with the work.
I did receive a call from my salesman, Rocco, at the end of the first week of December. I told Rocco about the concern with the hot and cold water switch. He asked if he could come by the following Monday (Dec. 8th) to take a few photos of the job. I asked him to report the problem, and agreed to let him come by and photograph the job that Monday. I then received a message from him saying he would not be able to take the photos at that time, and telling me that he would let me know when he as "in the area." I have not heard a thing from him or anyone else at YHI since then.
quality work
Project far too long to schedule and complete correctly. It was extremely difficult to contact anyone after we ordered and paid for the material.
The salesman was pushy and the team did not show up on the day they were scheduled.
I’ve been left with a hole in my wall and a hole in my floor. Improperly installed shower door that leaks water all over my floor and makes a loud creaking noise when I close it. Shower door doesn’t always stay closed. Installers made me give them a 5 star rating without checking out the “finished” shower install and wouldn’t leave until I gave them a 5 star rating so they could get thier “bonus”. Shower drain wasn’t hooked up correctly and leaked water into my basement and local plumbers had to be called to fix the shower drain. It’s been months and I’m making payments on a $23,000.00 loan for a job that could have been done by professionals locally for half the price. Still waiting for situation to be made right.
The communication with clients needs improvement. No updates on projects and responses are late or never to inquiries.
I don’t really like that I paid them to basically just be a middle man to another contractor that was 2/3 of the cost.
Everything was as agreed upon.
Did everything they promised in the time frame quoted!
The installers did a nice job
Totally unhappy about having to wait 6 months to get a door installed… had to be one of the coldest days in the year! And the door only was 12-1500 miles away! I’m furious!! They refused to give the money back after everything went wrong… we had to accept less than perfect because they weren’t willing to be professional! I will never deal with this company again!
Knowledgeable, Quality product
Signed a contract on June 28, 2024, its now December of 2025, the job was never fully finished. The work done was sub-par at best. Communication was absolutely terrible. Probably the worst experience with a home improvement company I've ever had. Would never endorse this company to my worst enemy. I also work for Great Day Home improvements. So basically under the same umbrella as YHIC. Im appalled at the lack of professionalism and the amount of time waisted on a simple project. Not to mention the thousands of dollars lost, not only on the project, but from rental income.
Ordered windows in March 2024, contact was okay the first couple months with installation expected to happen in June 2024. After that we struggled to get ahold of anyone until late September. In November 2024 installation of the windows finally began. A couple windows were broken in a predicted wind storm in which the contractor left the windows outside. This led to more windows needing to be Ordered. Between installation, incorrect screen colors and window framing issues, the project was not complete until Fall of 2025. 18 months after the process was started.
I love that they wanted to make me 100% happy when we came across what I think was a measurement error, they came up with a solution that pleased me
Everyone was very professional from the sales people to the installers. They kept the worksite clean and cleaned up after themselves. Very satisfied
You didn't keep me informed of anything. I had to reach out for answers and didn't get any until I called main office.
I loved the quality of the job
Everything was easy and straight forward.
Horrible communication and sloppy work.
Was threatened by a contractor, bathroom was left destroyed for a month and half, Customer service was bad and the breached the contract.
The water pressure from the shower installation, and still is, very low and continues dripping after turning the shower off.
I feel like there needs to be some type of compensation for all the time and trouble we have had it's been over a month
We have had to cancel dr appointments and missed a few things to accommodate all the work crews that have been here
Everyone we worked with was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable
Talking job wasn't up to par
Great sales, communication, installation and clean up.
My bathroom was completely transformed. We really like it!
The installer
James and team were well spoken. They explained everything clearly and made sure we understood everything. I really appreciated everything they said and explained and were extremely courteous.
It took 5 times as long to complete!
This is the worst experience we have ever had with what is supposed to be professional bathroom installers. The contract was signed mid—June and it is still not complete. The approach this company takes is “we’ll make it fit” and it does not matter the poor quality, poor workmanship and overall poor aesthetics of the project, they seem to think it is acceptable. Please avoid this company at all cost.
This ended up being a very custom installation because the house is old. It turned out so beautiful.
P
I feel we were over charged for both the projects we had done.
I think the products are high quality. There were many mistakes in our installation, however. As long as they make it right I’ll be 10/10
All who I spoke with from beginning to the end of our project were knowledgeable and friendly.
In every way possible. Every aspect of this instal was done wrong and very late — at this point 3 months late and the original install looked nothing like what I designed, it was cheap, shoddy and not even complete. The people at You Home Improvement Co. tried to get me to accept a cheap and incomplete install I was charged 25k for. It is not simply the worst construction company I ever encountered, it is the worst company of any kind. I have spent time in Mexico often and also Communist countries and former Communist countries and even they were much, much better. When I sell my house I plan to sue them. For 5 months I have been paying 2 mortgages because I trusted this would be complete at the latest by mid August and it’s November 17th and it’s still not done! This is a business that should be forced to close for fraud.
